Ubhauli Sakela is one of the main festival of Kirat Rais Communities.who celabrate the Ubhauli Sakela invoke mother nature to provide good crops and against natural disasters and in the memory and respect of anscestors they wordship through Dhami(Nachhung) and request for blessings in alive.The main characteristic of this festival is a ritual dance of sakela silli performed by large groups of people wearing their traditional cultural attire.people from all age dance together in large circle.There are male and female leaders in each circle known as Silimopa,Sillimoma respectively .
