Hey, I'm a fan of the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, and ECHL hockey team. We recently affiliated with the LA Kings and Ontario Reign. For whatever reason, the ownership thought it was a great idea to have the "fireworks" in Greenville. So now we get the experience the same thing every NYE. 😂

They should have learned from the New Orleans saints who for some reason like to use pyrotechnics. The first time they almost burned a whole in their newly installed turf after a pyrotechnics display during halftime. The second time they had to delay the game because of the smoke from their indoor fireworks.

I believe I heard about this here on the news when this happened! But I wonder if the game continued to play after the evacuation and once it was safe to go back inside or I wonder if the game was canceled for that day these fireworks caused the fire alarm to go off
The game was over. There was supposed to be fireworks after, but that was cut short. Once we were out, we all just went home.

Maybe the staffs or state fire marshal was been told that they were doing indoor fireworks, when it went off, they silenced it I guess. I might be wrong at this point. 7:04 maybe the fire alarm turned on the light so everyone can leave 😂.

It probably would have been better if the building staff set the fire alarm system to temporarily bypass the smoke/beam sensors installed in the spectator area before starting this show. Oh well, at least it seemed entertaining to watch....lol.
Yea and just make sure they had a staffer or someone from the FD watch the CO2 levels. I'm sure someone from the Ontario FD was there. They always do when there's fireworks.
It wouldn't make a difference. Fire alarm systems don't stay silent forever after you silence them the first time. If another initiating device (i.e., smoke detector, pull station, etc.) gets activated after you silence the alarms, they will activate once more.

@@aidenlui2056 But when the Silent Knight voice evac said "proceed camly to the" out of nowhere then it proves that it was glitching because the system can't start playing the voice evac in the middle of the message but when it ended it got silenced similar to when after it played the code-3 tone as the code-3 tone played because the system re-alarmed due to another smoke detector getting activated.
When the Silent Knight voice evac system activates normally here's what it normally does: "[1 Khz code-3 tone], [1 Khz code-3 tone]. Attention please, there's has been a report of an emergency, proceed calmly to the nearest exit and leave the building immediately, do not use the elevators, use stairwells where nessacary, all handicapped occupants shall use the building evacuation plan."

@@joeycaridi3030someone is probably silencing the alarm or bypassing it but it triggered another alarm that wasn’t silenced/bypassed, it wouldn’t be glitching

The ice is melted when they are switching from hockey to basketball rock and roll concerts or anything else the arena hosts but that’s a whole story than this hockey game. I’m even a huge hockey fan myself.
