0:11 absolute pressure...oops....pleasure!
My first DT album right here, I still love every track!!!
Sorry guys, but this one belongs to Derek!
Portnoy also
One of Dream Theater's best... and the entire crowd looks to be silent. Nice.
One of their baddest compositions.
This is one of my most favorite DT songs. All band members play their instrument perfectly, but James butcher it with his vocal. He should rest from touring for a few years, fix his vocal cord problem, and learn new singing technique since he isn't young anymore. I say this because I love having him as DT vocalist. There are million metal vocalists, who are better than him, out there, but I still choose James.
After couple of latest album since Train of Thought I got angry with that 'balls pulling' voice. I agree with you, as he is not young anymore, he should learn some better voice suits to his age. I would go for Mikael Akerfeldt from Opeth. That would BRUTAL combination.
@@petrholusa5855 You meant Devin Townsend ;)
@@ven8107 devin would be also good choice. 🤘
0.53....Chile !!
Perfect sond great band
Portnoy always proud this one
Jordan is great, but not playing this solo.
Of course he is playing the solo! But the video is 1/8 note behind the sound, that's why it looks fake. Or did you want to say, he doesn't play it well? Then i have to disagree aswell.
@@SherbyFX I think they meant the soloing sucked compared to Sherinians. If that’s the case, agree entirely. Original was dirty and had personality, this is just typical Jordan wankery. At least he looks like he’s having fun.
I totally agree, I miss Derek and Kevin though
4:25 - 4:48 😎😎😎👌👌👌
I love Mike Mangini, but it's just not the same without Portnoy. Something is just missing due to him leaving.
It's because Mangini is a hired gun in DT. Mangini is a great drummer, but Portnoy hits the drums a lot harder. Let's also not forget that Portnoy was one of the big songwriting forces within the band.
Drum Guy
In turns of the sound, many of his cymbals were way to low in the mix but I think the drumming is great
Maybe because I like that snare on the studio album, it really stands out. :)
@@AdrianNWB No, a mix can make it sound like they hit harder or softer.
cadas
At 3:50, Jordan Rudess completely ruined Sherinian's solo. He is not able to reproduce the "monster lead sounds" from Sherinian.
Poor drum performance
