Nice review! This piano definitely sounds amazing beautiful sound. I have a questions. How do you compare ST1 with Kawai’s K400/300/200 is it a uppar model or lower model? 2) Is it a made in Japan or a Indonesian make? Thanks!
We have a Kawai KG-2E for the main worship room (the chapel) but the classes have Kawai ST-1 or an old equivalent. All of them in wood finish. The one in the primary class' missing chunk of finish and really sound different than the others.
If it is from the cabinet of the piano then it is not causing it. It would most likely be that the hammers need to be replaced or re-shaped and voiced. If it is from the very large "flat" piece of wood in the back of the piano, or soundboard, then maybe it is causing a little variation in sound. I doubt this is the issue especially being an older piano which will have at least some wear on the hammers.
Beautifully played Ted. Beautifully sounds!
I remember stolen moments on our Kawai upright in high school choir. That thing could handle Rachmaninoff and everything in between.
Thank you for this review!

@@jacobneal5388 Agree, I guess it's the way I wrote the sentence. I sound different because it got beat up.
Why is it I like ST-1's tone a lot more than the K series?
The piano Ted's playing doesn't seem to have a muffler rail. Does the ST1 have a muffler rail, or was it removed for the video?
It comes with one, we took it off to use the microphone rail over the top.
How it's compared to the 506N?
the ST-1 is higher quality then the 506n.
Hello, how does this compare to a K300?
The St-1 is lower quality then the K300.
Thanks. I ended up buying the K300. My son really enjoys playing it
@@sdedasdthat’s awesome! I want the K500 60th anniversary edition. Such a beautiful piano!!
