Im seeing this model as well as the new Tiguan many months at youtube videos but dealers say it will be few more months untill we can see in in the flesh. Chinese automakers just opened stores in my city and they have already 300-400 vehicles in the country ready to deliver. Stone ages for european automakers. Thomas, excellent video as always !!!!!!!!
I keep on thinking how grimy the internal door handles are going to get, after just a few months of use ... Petrol stations aren't the cleanest places ... cleaning those alcantara door handles will be a must if it needs to look so nice for months / years. great review! thank you for it! 🙂
Blue outside with cream leather inside is the perfect colour combination. Too many VAG cars (And most of the other manufacturers too) just make the whole interior variations on black - fine for hearses, but I prefer bright interiors. I would draw the line at the white interiors used on for example the ID Buzz, especially the steering wheel, which will end up cream coloured as soon as anyone not wearing gloves drive it.
@@abraxastulammo9940 Yup, I think that the Škoda color is more similar to the snake, too, search for the Green Mamba Snake. The Porsche green is a somewhat ordinary leaf green.
Hello, great video. Just wondering if you could answer a question for me. I was told by one of my local Skoda dealers that the new Skoda PHEV is unable to include both the DCC+ and a panoramic sunroof. Is there any truth in this do you know? And if so, I wonder why? Thanks.
Looks better then previous gen, but this long strip on back doors don't looks good, at least for me, but reaving of motor in hibrid is to loud, it is almost louder then Toyota hibrid with CVT.
Hey, cant remember about the glovebox sorry. The consumption figures of different engines are put in this Tiguan review since I did all powertrains there: ruclips.net/video/zdr8KFhzoJc/видео.html
Both offer an addtional sound isolation package. That adds double glazed side windows front and back to Tiguan, but only front side in Kodiaq. I would guess Tiguan is still quieter.
What about city driving? My experience with new Tiguan 1.5 was not the best - it was jerky, acceleration nonlinear, and low on torque. Also, braking performance was uneven.
Great review agian, best there is! Question about the backseat which one is the best for 3 kids 0-5 years (3 childseats), Kodiaq/Tigiuan or Passat/superb? That for your answer
Hmm i d say the difference is that you install the seats/ put the kids in while being a little higher in the suvs. The estates however give better riding comfort
Is it me or does the interior feel smaller than the previous gen? With 7 seats, it looks smaller than before... could have done with the rear most seats move back by a further 10cm?
As a Czech guy I should be rooting for Skoda. BUT - two things, and the designers really, really dropped the ball here: D-pillar is HORRENDOUS, there's simply no way talking your way out of it. It's as if the car was designed by a bunch of Chinese and Korean high-school overachievers. And second thing: the bezels around the front display. Oh my gosh, Skoda, is this cost cutting measure across the whole portfolio really necessary? In Czechia, we will have many of these on the roads, because corporates will get great pricing on them. But for a private customer, this is way too expensive for what it does. Lazy engines for such a big piece of steel, you'll be better off buying anything else. Even the X1, GLB or whatever. BTW, this dark blue masks the details of the car, not the best one to present a car in..
None of the configurators I've looked at (Germany, UK) have a 2.0L petrol engine listed, for the Kodiaq or the Superb - just the 1.5L (which seems rather underpowered). Are these supposed to be coming later?
Sadly it feels like more love and care was added to the styling of the sportline instrument cluster in the previous generation of Kodiaq. I really liked that one with a very sporty look and feel with graduate background and even some vague carbonfiber pattern inside the instrument circles... However maybe there was not time to give that attention in this generation. Did you get to try the Canton stereo? It was rather bad in Kodiaq previous generation compared to Dynaudio in old Tiguan or Bang Olufsen in older Q3 (current Q3 sadly have Sonos system..=not as good as the B&O). Also is it easy to turn off the speed limit indicating sound? And do one need turn it of every time the car is started?? (The most annoying and contraproductive feature legislated on so far by EU).. As a general thought in many of todays cars theres so many beeps and and annoyoing warning sounds that it serves only the purpose of making the driver jumpy and nervous..Try park inside a parking garage with a new car..its constantly beeping so its warnings is just...well they do not serve any purpose of warning..since its crying wolf all the time...But perhaps just me being old..Thanks for good review😊
ye the Sound aint the best indeed. The speed chime is easy to turn off with the steering wheel buttons! Yes every time like in every vehicle now by law
if hybrid or plug in hybrid is not available then it's not a big upgrade.... though blue color looks so nicer. Only Merc and Skoda know how to do nicer blue color on their cars...
I used to have a previous version of Kodiaq but I changed it for Kia Sorento. Price is comparable and Kia is far bigger. Skoda is just very narrow and doesn't have a flat floor in the back which makes it uncomfortable for the third person traveling long distances.
The naming convention for Škoda's SUV models ending with the letter "q" is actually inspired by the Alaskan language of the indigenous people of Alaska, the Alutiiq. The "q" at the end of the names represents strength and ruggedness, qualities associated with SUVs. It's a unique and distinctive way for Škoda to convey the robustness and adventurous spirit of their SUV lineup.
Why they didn't put ISO FIX in the 3rd row is beyond understanding! What a wasted opportunity. 2 babies and kids up to 10y old could easily fit there for a big family. If there are AC vents in the 3rd row I don't see the reason of not allowing baby seats also!
Looks really good..Sad to see they still have the Canton stereo though since that was not so good in my 2022 Kodiaq...Go for Dynaudio that was in the Tiguan some years ago instead.. Other then that Kodiaq is a really good car for daily driving...
Thomas, ich müsste bitte dringend wissen, ob in das geheime Handschuhfach ein Tefal Optigrill passt (die kleine Version mit den Waffelplatten). Danke dir!
Great review, thanks! The car seems amazing apart from exterior looks, which will probably grow on me with time. However, I am really disappointed with both VW and Skoda designers as they have somehow succeeded in making the distance between the rear Isofix anchors smaller than in their predecessors. As a person who has 2 child seats in the back and often need to carry an adult in-between them, this is not good news. At least by the available pics, it seems the new 5008 is considerably roomier between the Isofix points (as was the old model...)
I didnt hear that nor do I think that it is connected to the DCC. However, I do experienced a body boom for example recently in the VW ID7 Tourer - and also in several VAG vehicles with torsion beam rear axle. I think this should be the case in this very engine version as well. I gotta check which versions come with torsion beam and which with multi-link rear axle. I recently talked to a VW engineer and he said that these sounds can not come from the DCC valves or dampers. So it must be axle connected or that somewhere in the rear body that sound is generated or enhanced
The DCC does not change the whole rear axle. I will ask Skoda when it gets multi link, usually their logic with other models is that AWD models get multi link
@@autogefuehl AFAIK the Golf, Octavia and the likes don't have multi-link only in the entry level spec (Life, 115 hp). Superb and Kodiaq always had multi-link.
Ready to buy it, but Skoda website, leasing rates, prices and availability are just terrible. No hybrid engines and nobody knows when they will be available. The only available option right is TDI.
Was on the market for new car .... Loved the Kodiaq but this 1.5 TSI , sorry. The 2.0 TSI and 2.0 TDI were not available for purchase yet + very pricey
Imagine, in a company, you give the same things you use in your products, the same names. Would be insane, huh? So everyone could easily recognize the used technology.
Skoda is no more a car with a "good price", she costs like a mercedes, is not a car with afordable budged for families, now is a car for people that can afford it buying a car that cost not las than 55,000 eueo or up to 65.000 euro.
I have Octavia with this engine but it comes with engine cover so it looks a little bit different and it does 8 seconds to 100 km per hour. And I think that VW t rock comes with it 1.5 TSI without hybrid
Second hand X5 for sure. But if you go for this, go and sell it in Czechia once you're done with it. Second-hand prices are through the roof on Skodas.
@@robertowen8440 I agree. They are like tanks over there. I wouldn't be able to park an American suv almost anywhere here in my country as all parking spaces are tight

not yet but you can compare how it is for Tiguan and Superb
Volkswagen AG (Germany) owns Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche, Scout, and Volkswagen. Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (ZGH, China) owns Lotus, Polestar, and Volvo.
With the latest Kodiaq and Tiguan prices I would go straight to Audi!

Audi also raised the prices by 2% recently. A comparable Q5 costs more than 70.000 €.

Is this hypered? No on 2025 traditional one with petroleum only ?
Is there no seat ventilation and massage available in sportline trim?

As a general thought in many of todays cars theres so many beeps and and annoyoing warning sounds that it serves only the purpose of making the driver jumpy and nervous..Try park inside a parking garage with a new car..its constantly beeping so its warnings is just...well they do not serve any purpose of warning..since its crying wolf all the time...But perhaps just me being old..Thanks for good review😊
Thank you so much! Please recommend / share our channel and our videos 🙏
ye the Sound aint the best indeed. The speed chime is easy to turn off with the steering wheel buttons! Yes every time like in every vehicle now by law
please tell me if phev is also offered as 7 seater?
no
Guess not but i ll recheck
Checked, as expected no 7 seater for phev
12:56 lmao that giggle
It's getting hot in here.... ♨️
It took them a solid 7 months from reveal to the first driving impressions. God damn releasing a car shouldn't be this hard.
if hybrid or plug in hybrid is not available then it's not a big upgrade.... though blue color looks so nicer.
Only Merc and Skoda know how to do nicer blue color on their cars...
I used to have a previous version of Kodiaq but I changed it for Kia Sorento. Price is comparable and Kia is far bigger. Skoda is just very narrow and doesn't have a flat floor in the back which makes it uncomfortable for the third person traveling long distances.
but you dont have 100km range in pure electric (PHEV)
The grille looks like a BMW 3 series and the price is not far short either!
In India, they already got used to headlines (Google search for it) "Skoda Superb makes a comeback in India, costs more than Mercedes-Benz SUV at" ...
I just dont like the D pillor. the old generation looked better. but like the interrior very much
Do you have an answer why Car Name of Škoda last letter with Q, Like Kodiaq, Kamiq, Karoq?
The naming convention for Škoda's SUV models ending with the letter "q" is actually inspired by the Alaskan language of the indigenous people of Alaska, the Alutiiq. The "q" at the end of the names represents strength and ruggedness, qualities associated with SUVs. It's a unique and distinctive way for Škoda to convey the robustness and adventurous spirit of their SUV lineup.
Is there any VRS coming soon?
not sure, we ll keep u updated!
VRS suppose to come end of this year i heard!
@@autogefuehl love from india
We ll of course show that to you as fast as possible
I'd imagine it will be coming. 265hp same as the new Octavia RS
Why they didn't put ISO FIX in the 3rd row is beyond understanding! What a wasted opportunity. 2 babies and kids up to 10y old could easily fit there for a big family. If there are AC vents in the 3rd row I don't see the reason of not allowing baby seats also!
If you had to pick between the new releases of Passat, Superb, Kodiaq, Tiguan which would you take home?
superb
ruclips.net/video/m_QTL1sfPjs/видео.html
Tiguan seems to be the best. Most compact, enough space for normal family
For me, either of the Skodas. VW don't look as good and you're basically paying badge tax.
Danke dir!
lol =) Lea meint vermutlich nicht
I guess it’s safe to say this would be how the new Tiguan Allspace/US Tiguan would look
At least by the available pics, it seems the new 5008 is considerably roomier between the Isofix points (as was the old model...)
thanks m8 !
50 miles on electric is quite decent!
Which is better CRV or kodiaq?

In Barcelona!
By the way what's your height???
You can get Mazda CX-60 for similar money, plug in hybrid...
No touchscreen when using the Mazda system, and the suspension is very harsh.
but its a Mazda ...lol..nobody wants that.
And they're pretty unreliable. Skoda is a way better car.
@23:00 some vloggers on the internet complained about the loudness of the DCC system. Why not mention that?
I didnt hear that nor do I think that it is connected to the DCC. However, I do experienced a body boom for example recently in the VW ID7 Tourer - and also in several VAG vehicles with torsion beam rear axle. I think this should be the case in this very engine version as well. I gotta check which versions come with torsion beam and which with multi-link rear axle. I recently talked to a VW engineer and he said that these sounds can not come from the DCC valves or dampers. So it must be axle connected or that somewhere in the rear body that sound is generated or enhanced
@@autogefuehl does the DCC makes a difference than standard setting? I'm in the market for a Kodiaq.
@@autogefuehl Kodiaq and Tiguan and Passat all share the same rear axle and theyre all 5 link IRS setups..
It's a little pitty the third-row seats do not provide Isofix.
Very good. :)
Ready to buy it, but Skoda website, leasing rates, prices and availability are just terrible. No hybrid engines and nobody knows when they will be available. The only available option right is TDI.
the other engines are coming later
Was on the market for new car .... Loved the Kodiaq but this 1.5 TSI , sorry. The 2.0 TSI and 2.0 TDI were not available for purchase yet + very pricey
7 sweaters with spare wheel. We'll done Skoda!
Bmw and VW can learn from Skoda
2 glove boxes not bad that's a bit like the Rivian
Imagine, in a company, you give the same things you use in your products, the same names. Would be insane, huh? So everyone could easily recognize the used technology.
If you need a normal 7 seater SUV, it’s better to stick with XC90 (PHEV) or EV9 (EV). Otherwise go for Multivan 😀
Skoda is no more a car with a "good price", she costs like a mercedes, is not a car with afordable budged for families, now is a car for people that can afford it buying a car that cost not las than 55,000 eueo or up to 65.000 euro.
Sportline with 1.5 tsi seems pointless to me. By the way is it mile hybrid with starter generator or is it only petrol?
1.5 TSI is MHEV as I said
I have Octavia with this engine but it comes with engine cover so it looks a little bit different and it does 8 seconds to 100 km per hour. And I think that VW t rock comes with it 1.5 TSI without hybrid
This or a second hand BMW X5?
Second hand X5 for sure. But if you go for this, go and sell it in Czechia once you're done with it. Second-hand prices are through the roof on Skodas.
What did you choose? Same debate 😊

Oh besten Dank! Tolle Autokorrektur...
Why does it loook sooo tiny compared to the new American SUVs?
Because we buy cars to suit our needs and the roads in Europe. They're wayyyy too big in USA.
@@robertowen8440 I agree. They are like tanks over there. I wouldn't be able to park an American suv almost anywhere here in my country as all parking spaces are tight
If only there was a 4WD hybrid with 250-300 HP.. Then I would swap my 2019 vRS
