Ok, a new Fallout game NEEDS to reintroduce the Midwestern Brotherhood. Arthur Maxson returned the Brotherhood back to it's old ways and he's as over zealous as ever. A conflict between these factions would make for an epic game.
Not quite. He kept elements of both Old and new. They kill Synths as technology shouldn't be able to think for itself. They kill Super Mutants because well they are 99% hostile. The exceptions are those willing to help them. They dislike ghouls. But aren't going to commit genocide against them. As seen with Hancock. They allow human outsiders into their ranks. But those who aren't in their ranks are treated as a knight-Pheasant relation. They pay taxes and give food/technology, while the brotherhood protecys them in return.
The Mojave chapter in New Vegas and the BoS Outcasts from Fallout 3 are the closest things to the old ways of the Brotherhood. They keep to themselves and remain out of the power structure and they scavenge technology from old pre-war ruins. What Arthur Maxson created is just post-apocalyptic Nazi Germany he wants to eradicate all that is unpure except non-feral ghouls because he considers them an abuse of technology and science.
@Zoomer Waffen I mean cmon. Would the brotherhood really just destroy the brain? Elisia tried to keep Helios one for the energy weapons. And the eastern brotherhood has a giant robot. @Zoomer Stasi fuck that coward shit I said before. Saying "Errrrr ooooh ahhh it shoundsh a lil too leftie to me" is way more reddit tier than a concept for a videogame lmao. It's a superior concept to most anything I've seen.
I love how the miniguns were broken in this game. U could literally destroy entire platoons with 0 percent to hit. That minigun splash dmg did like 200 dmg to others while u didnt hit the main one that was so hilarious. Just lie down and press atack while on other side of map. :D But i loved the story in this game was so awsome shame that they will not make tactics 2
The storry in Tactics 2 would have been prety different tho, according to one of the old devs in an old interview. A first draft had already been written. It was going to involve an irradiated GEK recreating a new dangerous ecosystem, take place in Florida and the enemies were going to be mutated plants and animals. (.. Which actualy still is a pretty cool concept, but just likely wasn't goingto involve most of the element of the first game)
I think Fallout 5 should be set in the midwest directly after the Barnaky ending, with the mutant liberation army stuff. I don't see why every fallout has to be set further into the future.
Droepram Actually, when I moved from 14 degrees east to shiny ent. I pitched a sequel to that ending but it never had a chance since interplay sold off shiny to another publisher. The first movie storyboard was a brotherhood raid on the mutant liberation army which included mass executions.
I don't know why people dump on this game so much. It's got a much better story than Fallout 3 or Fallout 4 and retained many of the good aspects of the originals.
Because it shares the same name as the godawful Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel (Fallout tactics: Brotherhood of Steel, and Fallout: Brotherhood of steel are two seperate games). People may have mixed up the two, which led to Fallout Tactics having an equally bad reputation to BoS. Also, the game being largely different from fallout 1 and 2, didn't help things. (I didn't play tactics yet, but this is just some stuff I heard, or I'm just assuming is the reason of it being hated by everyone)
I personally consider this cannon for a couple of credible reasons.1- fallout 4 has the BOS commanding an advanced airship. now i dont think this means they contacted the MWBoS, but the Prydwin would logically be a more advanced version of the ones in tactics (meaning the designs of the airships are a design common to the brotherhood factions). 2- its logical we dont hear about them in New vegas because we've got the legion between us and them, which makes for poor information gathering towards the east. 3- its logical we dont hear about them in 3 & 4 because DC and Boston seem to be very dense and tight-knit regions, who's interest seldom venture beyond the coastal areas they are located around. any info about the MEBoS that might make its way there would likely be met with a "who cares?" 4- on a similar note, the ECBoS is similarly inclusive, wraping itself up in DC exclusively for many years before Maxon's fanatical attention was brought to Boston. with this in mind, i imagine their attitude toward the MWBoS would be "They're too far away and too irrelavant. we can't afford to go on a wild goose chase to find a lost BoS chapter." 5- another likely reason we havent seen or heard of them in the newer games is that in the past 40-odd years between tactics and "now" they have focused on expansion and stabalizing their territory. After all there's more than enough room for them to expand to the north, south, and even East (likely more south-east, given their abscence from the games). Not only that but its logical to assume that, with any of the endings Tactics provides, stabalizing the territory and their expanded territories will be a lengthy process if they wish for it to be worthwhile.
this game even though it has had negative reviews is actually pretty good the story is just perfect i would love to see this as a fallout 5 for example we go back to the mid west and its run with the fallout 4 engine c'mon man i want to see the super vault 2017 stylez
One thing people misconstrued about, well, all of the endings is that only in one of them do the midwest ever actually make contact with the original brotherhood. Since the game has been re cannonized with the show coming out (cannon game list includes tactics and vault 0 is on a map of all vaults) i belive we'll be seeing a lore of our Midwestern friends pretty soon. As a side note, from three we know that the midwest chapter has atleast in some part pulled put of Chicago. This being because lyons chapter was sent though the area soley to look for them. However most of the midwest chapter would have further west near vault 0. The midwetern chapter would also have been actively avoiding lyons so theirs that too
i think i'm buying tactics cause the story and atmosphere look to be awesome plus it is the only fallout i've never played and i'm always happy to play more fallout
@@VoytekPavlik i played it with only one character in the squad, much easier and more fun for experiemced player. also you can find a secret location where is pipboy and he will join your squad ;)
Am I right in thinking the only canon ending can be the 1st one? Others are too grim and out of touch with real BoS, and leads to problems when meeting the other Elders on West and East Brotherhood - 1st ending is more isolationist, which makes sense for BoS.
+AGuyWithAChannel Barneky would make a fun sequel. The last are too strong for the Midwest. First is the only one that makes sense to me, but second one would be why the Midwest BOS isn't a large power house if its been in a civil war.
+AGuyWithAChannel dont think so because when u play the brotherhood has shaped so it welcomes mutants and deadclwas. This is way diff brotherhood that the otherones
General Barnaky's ending is objectively the worst ending when you think about it. I wish that his ending didn't have him enslaving/executing the mutants. Him sacrificing his brain to the Calculator would've wrapped up his story arc nicely.
If you pay attention during the story, you'll pick up on how the Midwest Brotherhood is basically either enslaving the towns they 'liberate', or coercing them in some way into sending more recruits to the brotherhood(basically forced conscription). Barnakey's ending is the most true to the Midwests ideology.
So the first ending here is supposed to be the canon one, but we've never heard any mention of these MWB influenced settlements with modern irrigation systems and stuff. Wouldn't something like this have an effect on the areas outside of the MWB's direct control?
Probably, if there is a steady supply of clean water a steady food supply should not be difficult and where there is food and water, civilization is not far behind. I could see a collection of smaller settlements emerging around the edges of MWB's control but linked to the brotherhood through mix of trade and diplomacy.
The Calculator most likely. Mutties can't breed and they need fresh humans to create mutants. Plus it takes too long for them. The Calculator can just overwhelm with it's countless numbers and ability to construct more and more robots on assembly line.
either way the ending is simple. the ending that's considered most likly to happened or is the one bethesda and most fan's consider is the calculator was destroyed "hence why you dont hear only references in future games"
It's interesting that the 'bad karma' player ending while not exatly happy and nice (it's very much impliedand then stated the 'new calculator is a .. well.; calculating.. sociopath conqueror who will sacrifice anything it needs with no hesitation), it's not played eihter as "the worst". Even "evil" (or at least very much moraly ambiguous)The new calculator does seem to genuinely try to do it's mission of creating a renewed wasteland, does not discriminate on biological lines and seems fairly highly efficient. (Wanna bet it makes the behemoth walk on time, eh ?). It remains somewhat ambiguous.
I don't think the "bad karma" calculator is worse than the status quo, i.e. a council of Elders. Remember, those same elders were A-OK with enslaved/captive Raiders/Beastlords pushing the hazardous nuclear materials through the wasteland without providing them with adequate radiation protection (See some of the Dekker's briefings before the missions). If anything, it is much better now because there is no internal strife, and should the OG Brotherhood dislike our new racially equal utopia the Calculator will have Legions of robots to "convince" them.
The scene with the Tank Track Robot about to flay the woman always made me so uncomfortable as a kid, and still does today. Glad she got out alive, haha.
FYI you don't have to throw grenades at the brains for the good ending and no karma drop, you can shoot your minigun behind those tanks too (right-click). Much simpler I think.
RIP General. Many a role you have taken on in your career, but will be forever remembered as GSGT Ermey, GSGT Hartman, and General Barnaky. Ad Victoriam and Semper Fi!
If any are it would most likely be the 1st one, this gives the rest of the wasteland breathing room from the Midwest bos but lets them establish themselves as a strong power in a region we haven't really seen in any other game
@@parheliaa As far as Bethesda is concerned this game is only canon in "broad strokes", ie not fully canon but not complelty non canon either. The only reference to it ever made in the games is in fallout 3 where Elder Lyons mention a rogue chapter of the brotherhood in the midwest but there's no more details. (IF any of those ending were to be made be canon, I'd think it'd be the first, as the three others have the Midwest brotherhood become a big machine assisted empire stretching at least to the Cheyene moutain. You'd think some mentions of that would have been made by the Legion in New Vegas if that was the case.) But I think more likely, kowing Bethesda, that it will never be answered in any significant way.
You can also throw grenades NEXT to the brains. (Make sure you don't see a % marker before throwing.) Check your reputation after each brain kill. Do it this way and you can get the utopia ending.
It's a damn shame that Steam won't let people buy this anymore.... I really REALLY wanted to play this. I would have had the whole Fallout collection now.
The closest to canon ending that Fallout 3, NV, and 4 implies is that the calculator is destroyed but the Brotherhood isnt able to do much and slowly fades away as Caesar's Legion grows even the scribes he has taken prisoner dont even remember the West Coast BOS.
There was actually going to be a follow up to that ending, according to Dan Levin.(one of the designers of this game) Go look for his comment in the comment section of this video, it's under Droepram's comment!
I really liked the game, and yeah the last ending is the best, but as others have said it's not the most honest to the tone and spirit of any of the fallout games. Though, the 4th ending if it was canon would make all other fallout games see Chicago as a Utopia, and that's something interesting given all the stories. Game is like $5 now. It's worth checking out.
It IS a true fallout game. It's called "Fallout Tactics", what'd you expect? It'd be a bit weird if the brotherhood's new initiate was seen getting drunk in a town before wandering off on his own to shoot tribals, then spend 3 months in new reno. Bit pissed off. Killing the brains (The ONLY way to get the calc to lower it's defenses) gives negative karma unless you blow them up with charges from a distance. Good guy karma shot straight to "you kill babies. Dick."
If the Enclave are like Nazi Germany then the Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel are like the USSR in the Barnaky ending! And if there had been a sequel then the Barnaky Ending (Dark side) would have been chosen as canon, but from what I know of Fallout canon (the real one that is) its the ending with turning the calculator into scrap metal that is canon!
There's only one thing off about the USSR comparison. The USSR didn't at all care about race. You're American? Guess what, they wouldn't care. You're German? Once again, they wouldn't care. One cannot achieve communism without wiping out racism. In other words, the USSR wouldn't like the idea of giving "special treatment" to pure-blood humans and thus oppress people because they're different. Otherwise, I agree.
Honorable Judge Actually the most favoured group in USSR was Russians, the most favoured group in modern Russia is....Russians! But true in that the original goal og the USSR and the crap ideology they stood for was to take over the world and for that they couldn't exterminate ALL native populations like they usually did! I just used the comparison to show how despicable an ending it were!
SHADOWWOLF77 Modern Russia doesn't fall into the picture, and communists would definately not support modern Russia, as if plenty of communists today didn't have a problem with the USSR already (which plenty does.) Do you know what communism is? If not, let me give you a short run through. Communism is an ideology seeking to achieve a classless, stateless society where no one is superior to another (fascism) and no class oppresses another (capitalism). Some communists believe that communism can only be achieved via a temporary communist party meritocracy as democracy could easly make it go the typical road of left right left right without ever sticking to a goal and thus achieving nothing. And believe it or not, plenty of communists believe in democracy and would rather have this pave the way for the future. Ultimately, communists believe that capitalism easly corrupts society and gives the upper class (rich people) unecessary power over society. They have the ability to move mountains. What do I mean by that? They can corrupt politics to their favor (why do you think there's only two parties in the US which both "happens" to be capitalist?), they have the power to ruin worlds via market imperialist oppression (taking resources from other nations, profiting of the work of others et cetera). That's the short version of what kind of power the upper class has gained under capitalism and especially under fascism. So what does the communists want? They want a world where market imperialism is non existant (thus capitalism must get out of the way), where the people of the third world can rebuild, where people can leave as equals rather than having some people oppress another (fascism must get out of the way), where the "free market" no longer oppresses people or exploits people et cetera. So what is then, the ultimate goal? If communists wish to achieve this, they must destroy the class based society. And did the USSR want to conquer the world? Heck, they supported revolutions world-wide instead of invading the nations, they granted independence to many nations et cetera. They didn't want to conquer the world. Neither did the USA. The Cold War was an ideological war. Both wanted to make their ideology the "world ideology". That was the entire competition. Now, you may be asking me "are you a communist?" And I'll be quick about it, yes I am. But let me get some things out of the way first. I don't support Stalin, as far as I am concerned, everything he did was a major betrayal to the goal of communism. I don't like Mao either, even if he had the goal in heart, and North Korea is CERTAINLY NOT communist. They never were... they were just a puppet nation established by Stalin and today they keep pushing forth the Stalinist ideology. I hope I haven't sounded offensive during this lecture, but I simply get angry when people don't quite understand what communism is. The world has fallen to the Western media, and it is the winner that writes the history while the loser gets lost in history in a shadow created by the one who was victorious. Best of regards, - Sigvart
Honorable Judge Not offensive at all but you're partially wrong about the USSR not wanting to conquer, it conquered the Baltic nations and regions in Finland as well as made puppet states of pretty much of all of eastern Europe until first Hungary had a "contrarevolution" of sorts and threw off the oppression. ONE thing though is that communism has been implemented and interpreted differently by mostly dictators or wannabee dictators, And for example comunism can never truly be implemented with Islam as Islam is a "Master-religion" (Our way is THE way attitude), As a philisophy it is good but problem was before Marx and Engels the philosophy was thought of by Plato, and it sadly doesn't work, Because hierarchy has allways existed in both the animal as well as plant kingdoms, the best that can be done is equalizing said hierarchy and lessen the plight of normal people! But as an idea it is good problem is just like for example national socialism which was a "cross" between comunism and nationalism also a potentially good idea but failed as well. Comunism today is practically as universally reviled as nazism or fascism! Am I a fascist? Hell NO! Am I a Nazi? NO! Am I a nationalist? Yes if only barely as there are many versions of it and it exist in most other concepts! Do I dislike that there are people that have more money than me? YES, BUT I don't want to abolish the rich I want to be rich myself so I don't have to worry about survival anymore! Before politics though I am a religious man (Asatru) and as such politics comes second! Likewise best regards Lukas!
SHADOWWOLF77 I didn't exactly say that the USSR didn't want to conquer. But world domination? I greatly doubt that it was the number one priority in their list. Furthermore, the US has done much of the same as the USSR, especially during the Cold War. And believe it or not, when it came to the Cold War, if I lived during that era, then I would oppose both the US and the USSR. During the Cold War, both sides did absolutely horrible things that shouldn't be mentioned and hopefully can be forgotten. And both ensured the deaths of millions. Moving on. Yes, communism has been interpreted differently by many people and thus many communist factions has formed. However, there's two especially universal agreements despite the other interpretations. 1. A class based society gives power to profit motivated people and thus must be challenged (nothing said abolished, even if the ultimate goal is making a classless society.) 2. If we're to make a society for most people, we will have to abolish the oppression different genders, the oppression based on race and other ethnic/cultural oppressive standards. Moving on to ideology and religion. Marx may have said that religion is an opium that keeps people's mind away from the oppression they actually face, and thus must be abolished to ensure that the oppressed masses can unite against the upper class. He also noted the way religion has supported the upper class and oppressed other classes. And most communists agree with him, but even more disagree in one certain aspect. Abolishing religion. This is completely wrong and shouldn't happen, we can't punish people for believing in something. If history has proven one thing, acceptance is a better way to unite people than intolerance. On to the "our way is the only way" attitude... this exists, yes. But this alone isn't a threat at all. A communist society with tolerance on religion could easly join in with religious societies. The threat is fanatics. And I think we both agree that fanatics of all kinds, communist, capitalist, religious et cetera, are dangerous and should be dealt with if they pose a danger to society. On to the ideology itself. I have yet to meet communists to claim that achieving communism is possible, and that includes myself. But I do believe in going as far as we can get to communism. This stage is called socialism (NOT to be confused with national socialism. National socialism isn't socialism AT ALL.) Socialism has two major possibilities with several sub possibilities. The two major possibilities are as following: Democratic Socialism (the name speaks for itself) and Meritocratic Socialism. Democratic Socialism is like Social Democracy (which has proven effective) except that the Capitalist elements has been harshly regulated or abolished, yet society rules together democraticaly. Meritocratic Socialism is the kind of socialism we have seen in Cuba, the USSR et cetera. Democratic Socialism has yet to be tested, though Democratic Socialist parties has some influence in some nations. I won't go much in to detail, but I do want to point out major acomplishments these two routes have achieved. 1. Free education for all without regard for the money in your pockets. 2. Free healthcare for all without regard for the money in your pockets. 3. Has proven to rebuild several third world nations. (Russian Empire to USSR, Cuban Mafia Dictatorship / US puppet state to Cuban Republic, Nationalist / Imperialist China to Communist China (they are NOT communist anymore despite what they claim.)) 4. Has been renowned for nearly ending unemployment in many nations. 5. Has largely (and some completely) ended the upper class' controll over a nation. Just these 5 examples above and more shows just what Democratic Socialists and Socialist Meritocracies has achieved. If I didn't know any better, I'd say it worked, even if it sometimes meets a share of hardships. Now let me instead move on to what I'd say doesn't work. Capitalism. What has capitalism achieved? Oh yes, our "great and fantastic" corporate powers has offered plenty of us lower wage work beyond a state where you could possibly live. They have stolen resources from third world nations, ensured mass hunger for millions, they have made the third world into a new form of slavery via low wages that doesn't offer people a liveable standard of living, they have polluted the skies endlessly in search for their profit. The profit motive is destroying this world, both the people in it and the planet. Capitalism isn't a system that is going to survive. It will choke itself to death eventually, and I have a feeling it isn't far away before Capitalism has finally met its wall. Once Capitalism collapses, I believe an era of socialism will rise. And if that happens, we've reached a major step in the road towards communism. Finally, are we hated? Yes we are, especially by the first world. But in the third world, you would be surprised how many from the left are rising up against the capitalist world. You'd be surprised to hear people like Nelson Mandela's opinion on people like Fidel Castro and the ideology of communism. You would be surprised to know how much hated the first world actually is... Capitalism isn't loved, it's hated as much as communism is in the first world. On to your last comment regarding fascism, nazism and nationalism. Don't worry, I don't believe you are one. You don't have the racist, classist and intolerant attitude they tend to live by. As for nationalist? Errr, I think you might be more comfortable with the word patriot. A nationalist is often associated with people blindly following their nations. Also, regarding your religion... so you're Norse eh? Congratulations, you're talking with a Norwegian! Unfortunately, I can't call myself a viking. Best of regards, - Sigvart
so there's a bug in the game, by destroying the brains you get bad reputation, tons of it, so your most likely to get the bad ending. such disappointment. I got it even though I did everything "good" in the game. That explains why my character was suddenly assassinating elders.
I think you have to use grenades so you don't loose any. I remeber using specific weapon not something random for that when I played this many years ago
Gilkard That's actually the point of the game. You should be constantly giving orders to every member of your squad and defeating the enemy with superior tactics since you are constantly outnumbered and out gunned.
Fractions of the game are confirmed canon, so the game itself is canon. What IS canon, however, is hard to determine, though in New Vegas, Caesar explains that he'd encountered Midwest Brotherhood patrols on the east border of Colorado. He also states that his Legion had captured plenty of scribes from the chapter who'd forgotten or forgot to learn their leader Roger Maxson. Though he didn't clarify how or why they were captured, it can only be presumed that both sides engaged in conflict against each other. If you discuss to him about the Brotherhood, he will criticize them as "The worst impulses of mankind concentrated in one insane backwards tribe" and considering Caesar's technological stance of stinginess with advanced tech, this is near-zero surprise. Beyond that, however, I couldn't find any other evidence of Tactics' canonicity, though I'm sure you could find some by speaking to Veronica or Elijah, given how the Mojave Brotherhood won't cough up any crap nor does the wiki say anything about their knowledge of the midwest chapter.
The second one is the best imo. It's what's best for the wasteland. Those dirty muties got what they deserved. A little labor gulags never hurt anybody!
Midwestern Power Armo > all other power armor incarnations. I always hated Bethesda's over the top '50s crap. Even in F1 and F2 it wasn't TOO MUCH in your face. And gear looked realistic and cool.
It seem weird for me that Legion crush them. Midwestern Brotherhood would had been like 50 years ( at least ) to rebuild themself. And i wonder how tribales ald slaves with spears can destroy power armor especially with those paladins helped by super mutants and deathclaws.
Indeed, there's nothing postapocalyptic about a godlike entity and it's unstoppable high-tech army. Tagging raiders and scavenging ancient ruins with New Reno ost int he background is the best.
Every other Branch of the Brotherhood- Is a bunch of racist technology horders. Meanwhile this Branch in the Good ending- Actually fucking realizes that the other races/mutants are useful to society and can help out.
I hate that you're locked out of the Good Rep ending if you don't bring along explosives with you to the Calculator's Chamber (which you almost assuredly wouldn't unless you knew you would need them, as they serve no real tactical purpose in combat). Losing karma killing the brains with non-explosives is really an awful feature, as if murder with TNT is more moral than with a pulse rifle. Still, I wasn't planning on dying after all the shit I'd gone through with my squad. Better to let Barnaky go, since he was already half-machine by that point.
It's becoming more and more clear that the Midwest Brotherhood is going to play a huge role in the future, from the hints in 3, comments from Caesers Legion in New Vegas, and the return of the Brotherhood Airships in 4

Not only that but its logical to assume that, with any of the endings Tactics provides, stabalizing the territory and their expanded territories will be a lengthy process if they wish for it to be worthwhile.
ending 1 sounds most likely and I think is canon but ending 4 is clearly best
To me the last ending is canon.
Same
I don't think fallout tactics is cannon

i know but when this came out it was bad apparently
i just wanna see my home state in fallout again, lol
One thing people misconstrued about, well, all of the endings is that only in one of them do the midwest ever actually make contact with the original brotherhood.
Since the game has been re cannonized with the show coming out (cannon game list includes tactics and vault 0 is on a map of all vaults) i belive we'll be seeing a lore of our Midwestern friends pretty soon.
As a side note, from three we know that the midwest chapter has atleast in some part pulled put of Chicago. This being because lyons chapter was sent though the area soley to look for them. However most of the midwest chapter would have further west near vault 0. The midwetern chapter would also have been actively avoiding lyons so theirs that too
Imagine if all endings are canon just like what Bethesda did to Daggerfall.
I wouldn’t imagine if Dragonbreak exist in the Fallout universe.
i think i'm buying tactics cause the story and atmosphere look to be awesome plus it is the only fallout i've never played and i'm always happy to play more fallout

^yup
Its a terrible ending, so much suffering. And it doesn't work out for the Brotherhood anyway.
I hope the Barneky ending is the canon one. It would be amazing to see a 3 front war between the NCR, the Cyborg army, and the East coast Brotherhood.
No, Tactics was decanonised and the Midwest Brotherhood is a small rogue faction in Bethesda canon
@@user-yt9ek2xh6i so it's still semi canon. Plus Bethesda canon sucks so I could couldn't give a fuck what they say about anything.
Probably, if there is a steady supply of clean water a steady food supply should not be difficult and where there is food and water, civilization is not far behind. I could see a collection of smaller settlements emerging around the edges of MWB's control but linked to the brotherhood through mix of trade and diplomacy.
i wonder who would win a fight the master and his super mutant army or the calculator and it's robot army
@@kane_lives Oh no, not the poor raiders and beastlords that plagued the land having to push the nuke! /s
The scene with the Tank Track Robot about to flay the woman always made me so uncomfortable as a kid, and still does today. Glad she got out alive, haha.
'History has shown that even the victors of battles have some regrets… But sometimes, one must move forward…'
FYI you don't have to throw grenades at the brains for the good ending and no karma drop, you can shoot your minigun behind those tanks too (right-click). Much simpler I think.
is General Barnaky voiced by the Gunny?
Dr. Fyodor yeah may he Rest In Peace
am i the only one who would like to see these guys in another fallout game
RIP General. Many a role you have taken on in your career, but will be forever remembered as GSGT Ermey, GSGT Hartman, and General Barnaky. Ad Victoriam and Semper Fi!
I kinda like this game but the gameplay was a bit...different, then the first and second. Still not a bad game. I like it.
So the way I see it the non-discriminating, unifying Brotherhood (hero joins calculator) ist the best, but it's not canon?
PewPewPlasmagun Cause it takes a way individual freedoms and makes the Midwest Brotherhood op.
Which one is considered the canon in later games?
If any are it would most likely be the 1st one, this gives the rest of the wasteland breathing room from the Midwest bos but lets them establish themselves as a strong power in a region we haven't really seen in any other game
@@raximousprime775 So if the first ending of tactics is the cannon, then that makes Midwest BoS... Canada?
I kinda like the animation of the cutscene shown at the beginning
It's a damn shame that Steam won't let people buy this anymore.... I really REALLY wanted to play this. I would have had the whole Fallout collection now.

The closest to canon ending that Fallout 3, NV, and 4 implies is that the calculator is destroyed but the Brotherhood isnt able to do much and slowly fades away as Caesar's Legion grows even the scribes he has taken prisoner dont even remember the West Coast BOS.
The second ending is the perfect plot for a sequel.
There was actually going to be a follow up to that ending, according to Dan Levin.(one of the designers of this game)
Go look for his comment in the comment section of this video, it's under Droepram's comment!
I hope the good ending is cannon
this game takes place in my home, the midwest. Ill see you all in Peoria, IL
You savages will all be taken care of by our automated turrets. *beep boop* Have a nice day.
It's worth checking out.
hehe, i always loved the two tribals in the animation.
In my opinion, the last ending is the best. However, I have never played this game.
Dick."
That's because he's voiced by Lee Ermey :P
They should make a remake of this game, except it would be an open world fps. Or if not a remake, maybe a mod for Fallout 4.
I'd agree. First ending is the most canon of the four.
A tank huh. Well thats cool! I need to get these games before it is too late.
so the calculator is just the master but techno trans humanism rather then bio?
it would have been much better if they went with what happens in the ending here in fallout 3
and made it so you are like the hero in this new world
barnaky sounds like lee ermey with a robotic voice
RIP R Lee Ermy
Honorable Judge
Actually the most favoured group in USSR was Russians, the most favoured group in modern Russia is....Russians!
But true in that the original goal og the USSR and the crap ideology they stood for was to take over the world and for that they couldn't exterminate ALL native populations like they usually did!
I just used the comparison to show how despicable an ending it were!
SHADOWWOLF77
Modern Russia doesn't fall into the picture, and communists would definately not support modern Russia, as if plenty of communists today didn't have a problem with the USSR already (which plenty does.)
Do you know what communism is?
Best of regards,
- Sigvart
Honorable Judge
Not offensive at all but you're partially wrong about the USSR not wanting to conquer, it conquered the Baltic nations and regions in Finland as well as made puppet states of pretty much of all of eastern Europe until first Hungary had a "contrarevolution" of sorts and threw off the oppression.
ONE thing though is that communism has been implemented and interpreted differently by mostly dictators or wannabee dictators,
And for example comunism can never truly be implemented with Islam as Islam is a "Master-religion" (Our way is THE way attitude),
As a philisophy it is good but problem was before Marx and Engels the philosophy was thought of by Plato, and it sadly doesn't work,
Because hierarchy has allways existed in both the animal as well as plant kingdoms, the best that can be done is equalizing said hierarchy and lessen the plight of normal people!
Likewise best regards
Lukas!
SHADOWWOLF77
I didn't exactly say that the USSR didn't want to conquer.
1. A class based society gives power to profit motivated people and thus must be challenged (nothing said abolished, even if the ultimate goal is making a classless society.)
(Russian Empire to USSR, Cuban Mafia Dictatorship / US puppet state to Cuban Republic, Nationalist / Imperialist China to Communist China (they are NOT communist anymore despite what they claim.))
Best of regards,
- Sigvart

Which ending is the true ending to the lore of the series? Or is this game non cannon?
Probably the destroy ending
@@Donbros this game is non canon
I can honestly say the only good part of this game is Gunnery Sergeant Hartman voiced part of it. I played it but the difficulty curve is unbarable.
The Brotherhood reminds me of the Romans

Losing karma killing the brains with non-explosives is really an awful feature, as if murder with TNT is more moral than with a pulse rifle.
