Hey Noah...I hope you see this. All your music is great but this song has been my anthem since its release. It has given me hope in the darkest of days. I am a survivor of a violent school incident from when I was a high school science teacher. I have PTSD from that incident. This song happened to come out the same year. I relate to the words in this song so much, and they give me so much hope. I would read so many stories of how people used the trauma they experienced to do something positive and inspiring with their life and I would be filled with sadness and anger, doubting that I would ever reach that point. There were so many days I felt like giving up but I would listen to this song and it would just remind me that my moment would come eventually. Well, after years of hard work both mentally and financially I managed to transition out of education into my dream career working in wildlife conservation. My husband and I grabbed our dog and cat, finally bought a house outside of the city, and did exactly as you said- we started our life in the middle of the jungle. All this to say, your music makes a difference. Never stop writing and singing. And to anyone reading this struggling from mental illness, therapy helps. But my real advice for you is if you can't keep holding on then its okay to want to let go- but lean on the ones who love you or anything you can, even if its just a song, and let them carry you for a while instead.
