Die HMS Bounty ist von 1960 bis 1961 für den Film Meuterei auf der Bounty gebaut worden. Der Film mit Marlon Brando zeigt die Ereignisse um William Blighdie und die Meuterei auf der Bounty im Jahre 1789.
Das Schiff ist die erste originalgetreue Rekonstruktion eines Schiffes für einen Hollywood Film. Gebaut wurde das Vollschiff im Auftrag von Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) in Kanada. Im Gegensatz zum Original besitzt es einen Motor.
Das Schiff HMS Bounty ist am 29. Oktober 2012 vor der Küste von North Carolina im Hurrikan "Sandy" gesunken.
Ferner kam das Schiff auch bei der Verfilmung der Schatzinsel mit

Oliver Reed als Capt. Billy Bones
Christopher Lee als Blind Pew
Im Jahre 1990 als Hispaiola zum Einsatz.
2005 wurde die Bounty in Pirates of the Caribbean -- Fluch der Karibik 2 mit Johnny Deep als Edinburgh Trader eingesetzt.

The HMS Bounty was built from 1960 to 1961 for film Mutiny on the Bounty. The film, starring Marlon Brando shows the events surrounding the mutiny on the Bounty in 1789.
The ship is the first life-size reconstruction of a ship for a Hollywood movie. The tall ship was built on behalf of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) in Canada. Unlike the original, it has a motor.
The ship HMS Bounty on 29 October 2012 sunk off the coast of North Carolina in a hurricane "Sandy".
