A few things to add: - if you don't have double sided adhesive sheets but do have double sided adhesive TAPE, just put strips of it close to each other to cover the background. will work great! - jan williams left a comment below suggesting using stickles for this technique, too!
I love your cards and your videos are so helpful. Every once in awhile you say things like "we do clean..." that crack me up. I laughed so loud I scared my cat!
Hi! I am the Etsy seller that makes the corner helpers. Love how you used them!! If you peel the brown masking off, they are a perfect clear finish so you can also see what’s below the corner. ☺️
You are amazing! Thank you for keeping me challenged and excited. I started making cards 20 years ago for my job when I delivered prescriptions to seniors at a nursing home. I noticed the residents who didn't have family and were lonely. Making cards was my way of expressing my creativity and putting a smile on those amazing people. They were so happy they shared inspirational stories of their life. I have been a paper crafter ever since. I truly enjoy watching your videos and miss the days when I put smiles on so many faces.
I am always blown away by your stunning cards, your creativity & the complexity of some techniques which you demonstrate so professionally Jennifer! Thank you for sharing and these are all amazing!🥰🙏🦘🦘
I appreciate you sharing! like how you added the shaker bits and how it is layered. I have a ton of sparkles from my "collecting" phase. Now that I am in my "creative" phase I appreciate learning about simple techniques like this. Thanks again!
OMG...you crack me up. "We do clean"...moving on! Hilarious! Embossing powder sounds great. Glitter is definitely NOT my favorite but I do love the shimmer and shine it provides. So embossing sounds like a plan. These projects are fantastic and I love how you always show us how to use all of our products creatively and in more ways that one. Thank you so much for always helping us break away from tradition. I love watching all of your videos. I'm addicted to them. Is this a good thing?? I don't know but look forward to them so...thank you!! You never disappoint!
Serendipity! I was just looking at my box full of glitter jars and thinking "I wish Jennifer would come up with a technique to use this".. Thank you so much!!
Tim Holtz shares a technique where he dyes clear glitter with alcohol ink in a small container and allows it to dry. Useful if you have alcohol inks but not a lot of different colors of glitter. Beautiful cards as always!
I was just about to put my glitter stash in the box going to the thrift store when I thought "wonder if Jennifer has a technique for using glitter" and WOW did you deliver!!!! Absolutely mesmerizing!
Good choice with the silver "lead lines"; alternatively, you could use black card stock for a different option. Black is a popular patina for stained glass. (I've been a stained glass artist for over 20 yrs now :) LOVE the vid!
OMGoodness! I don't own any loose glitter because of all the mess. I do have every colour of Stickles ever created so I think I will try those as well as embossing powders. Jennifer, you never cease to amaze me with your creativity! Thank you for this very innovative idea.
Hey Jennifer! I’ve done this technique before using double sided tape...but you took each card to another level! All the dimension, the acetate, shaker card and the ink blending! I already added this video to the Sparkling Glass Card video you made the other day! I would love to see any cards your daughter makes using the glitter! Btw...I have mostly Elizabeth Craft Micro Fine Glitter...they are really beautiful when you burnish it into the double sided tape! Take my word for the glitter is not coming off! Thank you Jennifer for the inspiration and sharing! Your cards are so beautiful!
I so much glitter, I had forgotten about the old technique using glue on the back of acetate and then glittering it…this is so much Easier! Thank youJennifer !
Jennifer, you are such an amazing teacher. And your cards are gorgeous and easy enough to be cased. Thank you for your tutorials. I know I'll always learn something wonderful from you. Rita
I happen to be a fan of glitter...I love the sparkle and shine. Now to figure out how to do this without the double sided adhesive sheets. The cards are stunning!
Wow. I have background dies that are perfect for this technique. And I have glitter. Lots of it. Almost donated a good portion. I'm purging. I'm glad I procrastinated.
This is actually an exciting video. I too have glitter in my stash & am short on ideas for using it. The price was right when I bought it. I love the stained glass look & protecting the glitter with added dimension is beautiful
Your cards a beautiful! As you said I have tons of glitter in my stash that I rarely use! I cannot wait to take an afternoon and make a tone of these glittery cards!! I saved both this video and your last glitter video to refer back too!!
I have no idea how I even found this video, but as soon as I saw it I knew I needed to try it. I had to use glue and I never in a million years would have thought to add another layer of cardstock AFTER I glittered. It was everywhere and I wondered how I was going to clean up all the spillover glitter. Duh, put another layer of the die cut (or in my case I used a cricut) over it. I'm new to card making....I think I have a new craft to work on. Thank you!
I have so much glitter. Tysm. I am trying to think ahead of how to use my stash for the upcoming fall holidays. I will visit Altenew. You are a craft engineer!
My sister gave me SO much glitter (she was going to make tumblers and then changed her mind if that gives you an idea), so this is such a helpful video for me. I have a beautiful butterfly and dragonfly that would work great for this. TYFS
OMGosh, of course it figures I just made two orders from Altenew and now I have to turn around and get more!!! LOL .. These cards are AMAZING and I thank you for your easy to follow video tutorial!!!

Will any kind of double side tape work?? I love your videos. Very informative and easy to follow. Lots of love from Phoenix, Arizona.
I love glitter, so I'm glad you did these 2 videos that I've watched. THANK YOU. Beautiful
You are so welcome!
I love your cards and your videos are so helpful. Every once in awhile you say things like "we do clean..." that crack me up. I laughed so loud I scared my cat!
I love that you have taken an older technique and made it new again! Beautiful!

I have loads of glitter to use up. What a great tutorial! Now I will finally use the glitter without the mess! Thanks for sharing

When Jennifer says it’s quick and easy to do what I hear is-if you really love someone you’ll put the time in😉. These are fabulous!!
You're the best!

I was just about to put my glitter stash in the box going to the thrift store when I thought "wonder if Jennifer has a technique for using glitter" and WOW did you deliver!!!! Absolutely mesmerizing!
This would be a great way to use up my (ridiculously large) supply of embossing powder! That first card is amazing. 🥰

I have a lot of colored sand left over from sand painting kits I used with my students. It won’t be as shiny, but it should still look good.
I have a box full of different glitters and now I have a reason to use them. Thank you so much for such wonderful ideas x

I have several bottles of tiny, tiny no- hole beads that I'm going to try for this technique.
Where did you purchase your no hole beads? I’ve been looking for a good source.
