Inspiring to see the energy. I met Perry a while ago, great guy, passionate, positive mindset and great sense of humor. It's clear that doing what you love gives back more than you have to put into it. Thanks for the video!
Really enjoyed this video. As a trumpet player for 40 years, I switched to the tuba at the start of lockdown. Loved seeing a 'day in the life of'. It has inspired me.
Tof om eens te zien hoe de dag van een beroepsmuzikant verloopt. Je bent een geweldige inspiratie voor andere bastuba spelers en - speelsters zoals ik.
I was coming off a stage and it was dark and didnt see the stairs and the euphonium fell and hit the center of the first branch and left a huge dent... As you get older you may want to consider a wheeled hard case instead of the back pack.
At 4:29, he says "Hey Jurgen". That would be Jörgen van Rijen, who shares the principal trombone seat with Bart Claessens. Jörgen van Rijen is an amazingly good player., and not just in the classical realm. ruclips.net/video/J2dqO5PQGTE/видео.html
Music is fun. But no one should ever have to or want to comply to this work pace. It's stupid and horrible and is does not contribute to the music or the art at all. Don't you have a union? Get organised and change this circus. Love your playing and spirit though.
That’s why he’s classified as a professional. He works this hard because he loves what he does. To say his efforts don’t contribute to the music and arts at all shows you haven’t tried to chase an upper echelon of excellence in anything worth while🤷🏾♂️. Please use perspective before bashing an art you don’t know about.
@@qbonics30 Not bashing the Art, just the behaviour. He works this hard because his mind is telling him to and he is not in control of it. Going beyond the mind he will find even more musicality and infinite more joy at a more moderate pace of work. The difference between Volodos (at peace) and many other concert pianists (frantically concertizing and recording one CD after the other). My own experience as well.

Leuk om te zien... Mr. Perry... en dat gewéldige koper van "ons" orkest... take care!
I can't think of any city in the USA that I would feel safe walking around in - after dark, especially.

@@qbonics30 No one was bashing anything, merely pondering a more relaxed pace.

@@qbonics30 He's not wrong, and it's still not bashing. You're just too sensitive.
