I presume that it's because the Ult gives a Crit DMG buff connected to the Sync buff, so it's able to extend the entire Sync duration for 1 turn? The wording is strange, but it actually works. This can help if you may not have a Skill point to spare, or would opt to save a Skill point instead.
The ult that comes after the basic is considered a follow up attack, in which the turn isn’t considered over yet. So while soulsteel’s effect would end once yanqing finishes his action, the effect persists until applicable moves are made before his turn finishes
I don't think it count as a follow-up attack if you cast it like that cause it not trigger Elation blessing. I think it simple because turn only end when you start someone else turn. So cast ultimate right after basic attack is still count as 1 turn.
Question, if the 4pc of hunter glacial forest crit dmg activate only after yanqing's ultimate then it means he won't be getting those crit on ultimate but on the next turn?

Yanqing and Gepard came to me very closely after each other, it was meant to be. Once I'm done with building the first team (Clara-March combo), they'll form the core of the second one. I like how he's somewhat straightforward but still needs a little bit of attention with the skill point management...
Asta / natsha will be best point skill generator units for this teams. I using Clara - March - Natasha - (random elemen unit) Clara not particularly point skill hunger like yanqing so she can generate point too if i have single monster that can i use basc attk. No 4 unit i always change situational.
@@Eleganttf2 I don't think that's a good team at all. Jing yuan, yanqing will both be eating skill points every turn, tingyun will eat 1 every 3 turns, and Natasha will use 1 everytime someone will get weak.

I got Yanqing on the starter banner. At first I was bummed since I really wanted Gepard but Yanqing's idle and overall character really made me like him. Been running him with the fire MC, and Natasha with a flexible 2nd slot.
One thing I love about Star Rail is that it seems that all of the Standard 5 stars are decent-good at worst and some of the best characters at best. And Yanqing especially is one I'm fond of not only because he looks cool, but also he reminds me of Xingqiu from Genshin(who is unironically one of my strongest dudes).
So the optimal team I think might be Clara, March, Tingyun, and Yanqing in that order. Clara wants to be aggroed, deals a ton of damage and does follow up attacks. Yanqing doesn't want to be attacked, does a ton of damage and does follow up attacks while also not being that stat hungry. March adds aggro to Clara, protecting Yanqing and does follow up attacks. Tingyun helps with energy. Could also suggest Bronya or other situational slots, but basically everything Clara wants is also what Yanqing wants and March facilitates it extremely well. I mention the follow up attack stuff since this would be an amazing Elation Simulated Universe comp.
Yanqing not only has been my main damage dealer on the account, but his kit of both having freeze and follow-up attacks have made my options in SU more colorful as both the paths of Remembrance and Elation are made extra viable.
Swordplay almost contends with the 5 star light cones in terms of single target damage, which is what you want Hunt characters for. It's crazy. Best hunt light cone by far

@browniesandcookies6818 hes rare in the sense that because hes in the standard banner, you have to be lucky to pull him specifically(or use the 300 guarantee pull on him). He is a bit limiting in that you have protect him(with shields etc) but he is a fantastic unit regardless.
i got gepard as my departure ssr, and then in my first 10-pull on standard banner got yanqing, and this duo is really bonkers, they just carried me to TB40 without any promlems - i have THE tanking and THE damage + CC from both, its really good and i dont care much about toughness bar sometimes and im saving for jing yuan, so really soon im gonna reunite teacher and student :3
and some time later i got bailu right after welts CE, and let me tell u that gepard+bailu in a team = no dying, i have a team of gepard+bailu+fire mc which i called "not gonna perish", basically stall team where 4th slot can be anything u want no damage? just tickle the boss to death, who cares that it took an hour u did it anyway :D
If you guys have him I would definitely completely build all crit DMG to start if you don't have him completely built. His crit rate on his ult is always 65% without his passive active. Mine is completely build and I dumped everything into crit dmg and use light cones and bonus effects from stats to get ok crit rate but I'm at 200% crit dmg making his ult do so much.
I have been pairing clara with yanqing, march and natasha. I feel like that synergy works well just like gepard because clara draws aggro and you can shield her with march. I was told a good tip was also to put yanqing on the opposite end in position than clara so that AOE attacks that target 3 will potentially miss yanqing at the other end.
Yanqing is my most wanted five star in the game and I'm happy that I finally got him on the standard banner using my stellar jades. I benched my Seele for now because of him. Having lot of fun playing with my fave character. Thanks so much for this helpful guide!
I'm really getting annoyed that every other sim universe boss being ice and freeze resistant. Even if you get the Remembrance ice weakness, they have innate 40% DR to ice Edit: I got Elation and Remembrance confused
Yanqing can be built with Remembrance too, and I find that this path offers more safety for most of the run especially against ice/frozen resistant bosses. This is for a couple reasons: 1. The Resonance formation “Total Recall” gives you 150% base chance to decrease enemy resistance to frozen by 100% for one turn. This includes the turn that the Path Resonance is activated. 2. The blessing “Ultimate Experience - Shudder” gives you 70% chance to apply ice weakness to a random enemy whenever someone uses their ult (includes non damaging ults like Natasha or Asta). 3. Ultimat experience - Sentimentality deals with Yanqing’s multi target issues by doing additional aoe damage (20%) to adjacent enemies. This doesn’t apply weakness break though. 4. Experience - The Torment of Alienation increases your character’s effect hit rate (up to 24% at max). Pair this with the Nihility blessing that decreases enemy resistance rate and reap the profits. 5. And finally, “Experience - Unspeakable Shame” decreases enemy’s freeze resistance by 6% per remembrance blessing, up to 6 times (it gets to 8% stacking 9 times at lvl 2). The other remembrance buffs are also really nice, bc Dissociation actually does very good damage (30% enemy max hp damage?? Is insane????? I think this is calculated before resistance but still holy shit) and you can buff damage dealt to frozen enemies. I’ve also found that the elation blessing that gives you skill points on follow up attacks paired with the hunt blessing that gives you an extra turn when you weakness break is *really* good on this team but those are a bit luxury. You ideally want speed focused blessings so you can take advantage of the turns where the enemy is frozen and blessings that slow enemies. I used this strat (lvl 2 path resonance and ice weakness on ult) to beat Gepard in world 3 lvl 2 today with an f2p Yanqing team of Fire trailblazer, Natasha, Serval, and Yanqing. Fireblazer can be traded for March 7th, and Natasha can be traded for Bailu but Serval is mandatory to help with aoe and break Gepard bc he doesn’t have ice weakness by default. They were all lvl 50-60 with lvl 60 light cones, and only Yanqing is maxed out as much as possible on talents. Relics were almost all 4 star, and only about half are max level. So it’s not entirely out of reach to try my remembrance strategy. Hope it can help you or anyone else who’s struggling with Yanqing in simulated universe!
@@gustykraken As what @iherreabout said, Kafka world 5 is easy. Kafka only have 20% resistance on ice damage. Cocolia+ Bronya on world 6 is really really hard on Yanqing users. In fact, you gotta swap out for someone else like Selee or Cock girl. Cocolia has 60% resistance on ice damage. I can't for my life kill the spears and her in time before she gets 40+ stacks of attack buff and just wipe out my team. It is certainly doable with Yanqing but you need the other 3 teammates to carry and have very high stat. Which is stupid, why do that? Probably because you only have Yanqing built like me. xD And I am unwilling to waste my resources on someone else. Anyways, there is no hurry to finish off world 6. Rewards are capped. Unlike Forgotten Halls. You can still get inert salsatto from bosses before then. I think the best way to beat World 6 is Fire MC and Asta. Especially Asta is broken. Her E will just eat through shields like butter. 4 times. Problem is I don't want to waste resources on Asta. And there is no reason to for now. Rewards are capped. I still run Kafka because I can kill her easily. 3/3 times I never fail a single run.
I got him from the Beginner's Warp. And wasn't sure how to use him so I came here! I can already tell he's a good character when I was using him but rlly want to maximize his potential ✨
Yanqing was my first 5* that I pulled after loosing the 50/50 with Kafka. Having never played an RPG game before, I had no idea how to build him. After I ‘accidentally’ built him decently well for my level, so I’m trying to find out what relics would fit him the best. Super glad I found this guide now that I decided to main him!

Yanqing is all about Soulsteel Sync, and using only an Abundance char doesn't quite cut it for aggro management: enemies' attacks are way more spread out and divided among the team. Even if you CAN survive without one (Nat's quite a healer and Bailu is even better), every time Yanqing is hit prevents his next skill's benefitting from the Soulsteel bonuses - ergo, it's considerably weaker, even more so than its very first usage in the battle, which is often buffed by his Technique. At least that was my case, got way better after slotting Fire Trailblazer in - even though I technically don't need it, as I also have Bailu. Instead of dealing insane damage half of the time, I now deal crazy damage all of the time. tbh, I'd just slot March 7th if I had her e6, really, and make do without any Abundance at all

e1 yanqing happened while going for seele, which worked out great because now I have two really strong single target units for ice and quantum respectively
Yanqing is fun to use. I don't have gepard, but March works, just need to shield every other turn or every other two turns if the boss has global aoe. If there is no global aoe, even better. But I am hoping to get Gepard or Adventurine later :3

I started this game a month ago and I really want Yan Qing I love this story, appearance, and voice, his combat is pretty good too even if a tad restrictive. I suppose time is on my side so i'll draw him eventually but until than.
FiNALLY I MADE IT HERE. I went like 3 accounts just to get Yanqing 😭I went from Hopeless(didnt get to the 5 star gacha at lvl7 due to idiocy)>Bailu>Bronya>AND FINALY MY LITTLE BOY. I wasn't planning to create any other acc since my first account has Clara and Bailu at TB 30 and EQ 1. I also finished the Jarilo VI arc and now on Xianzhou lofu but! Thats when I came across Yanqing's 5 star trial. HES GORGEOUS AND HIS SKILLS ARE JUST OMG. I just know he'd be my sunshine if I have him as my starter 5 star. And now that I have him, I'll make sure to build him in ever best way possible.

When you see a huge block of text, the character is stacked. Haha. I pair him with March, Tingyun and Clara. Tingyun buffs, his own buffs, a skill into ult rotation usually one shots Ice weak enemies. I off bannered him in Seele's banner (I got her 10 pulls after but this is a Yanqing video. 😂) but he's really strong. ❤️💕
I used him in the recent Penacony event and have now vowed to never make fun of him ever again. I will build him and use the living daylights out of him no matter how much he complains and I think this video has motivated me even more. So thank you ❤
Got yanqing from beginner's pulls, got E1 from Seelee banner(thank gods still got her only 17 pulls later) and got gepard and hissignature light cone from standard banner, so I think the game REALLY wanted me to build him)

I got E1 Yanquing from starter 50 pulls and his signature light come from standard. Totally F2p. I love him so much .I don't care if the opponent has ice weakness or no.He slaps .

Yanqing is also pretty nice with Topaz. He does follow up attacks and that helps with the Numby attacks. Aswell as having a fire unit to break more enemies. I run Gepard, Yanqing Topaz and Tingyun and i found that team works very well. Yanqing does the main damage but Topaz and Numby also does good dps. The only issue is that it's not great for AOE.
Keep in mind now with Ruan Mei in play, you can actually forgo speed on his boots and instead go for Attack% since that's just a larger boost of damage. As for rope, attack% is the clear choice. As for substats, Crit Damage, Crit Rate, Attack% and HP%/SPD is without a doubt the best since that helps him survive and dish more damage. Effect Hit Rate is good though since you need 67% roughly to somewhat guarantee freezes. Gepard is his best teammate tho ngl

3. Ultimat experience - Sentimentality deals with Yanqing’s multi target issues by doing additional aoe damage (20%) to adjacent enemies. This doesn’t apply weakness break though.
4. Experience - The Torment of Alienation increases your character’s effect hit rate (up to 24% at max). Pair this with the Nihility blessing that decreases enemy resistance rate and reap the profits.
5. And finally, “Experience - Unspeakable Shame” decreases enemy’s freeze resistance by 6% per remembrance blessing, up to 6 times (it gets to 8% stacking 9 times at lvl 2).
The other remembrance buffs are also really nice, bc Dissociation actually does very good damage (30% enemy max hp damage?? Is insane????? I think this is calculated before resistance but still holy shit) and you can buff damage dealt to frozen enemies.
I’ve also found that the elation blessing that gives you skill points on follow up attacks paired with the hunt blessing that gives you an extra turn when you weakness break is *really* good on this team but those are a bit luxury. You ideally want speed focused blessings so you can take advantage of the turns where the enemy is frozen and blessings that slow enemies.
I used this strat (lvl 2 path resonance and ice weakness on ult) to beat Gepard in world 3 lvl 2 today with an f2p Yanqing team of Fire trailblazer, Natasha, Serval, and Yanqing. Fireblazer can be traded for March 7th, and Natasha can be traded for Bailu but Serval is mandatory to help with aoe and break Gepard bc he doesn’t have ice weakness by default. They were all lvl 50-60 with lvl 60 light cones, and only Yanqing is maxed out as much as possible on talents. Relics were almost all 4 star, and only about half are max level. So it’s not entirely out of reach to try my remembrance strategy. Hope it can help you or anyone else who’s struggling with Yanqing in simulated universe!

Cocolia+ Bronya on world 6 is really really hard on Yanqing users. In fact, you gotta swap out for someone else like Selee or Cock girl.
Cocolia has 60% resistance on ice damage. I can't for my life kill the spears and her in time before she gets 40+ stacks of attack buff and just wipe out my team.
It is certainly doable with Yanqing but you need the other 3 teammates to carry and have very high stat.
Which is stupid, why do that? Probably because you only have Yanqing built like me. xD And I am unwilling to waste my resources on someone else. Anyways, there is no hurry to finish off world 6. Rewards are capped.
Unlike Forgotten Halls. You can still get inert salsatto from bosses before then.
I think the best way to beat World 6 is Fire MC and Asta. Especially Asta is broken. Her E will just eat through shields like butter. 4 times. Problem is I don't want to waste resources on Asta. And there is no reason to for now.
Rewards are capped. I still run Kafka because I can kill her easily. 3/3 times I never fail a single run.

Yanqing was my first 5* that I pulled after loosing the 50/50 with Kafka. Having never played an RPG game before, I had no idea how to build him. After I ‘accidentally’ built him decently well for my level, so I’m trying to find out what relics would fit him the best. Super glad I found this guide now that I decided to main him!

@@w.ae_l3367 probably by not using any Preservation chars? Yanqing is all about Soulsteel Sync, and using only an Abundance char doesn't quite cut it for aggro management: enemies' attacks are way more spread out and divided among the team. Even if you CAN survive without one (Nat's quite a healer and Bailu is even better), every time Yanqing is hit prevents his next skill's benefitting from the Soulsteel bonuses - ergo, it's considerably weaker, even more so than its very first usage in the battle, which is often buffed by his Technique.
At least that was my case, got way better after slotting Fire Trailblazer in - even though I technically don't need it, as I also have Bailu. Instead of dealing insane damage half of the time, I now deal crazy damage all of the time. tbh, I'd just slot March 7th if I had her e6, really, and make do without any Abundance at all

Fire mc did help and i used some preservation blessings that made my chars revive + had to build 2.6k hp on natasha to survive

e1 yanqing happened while going for seele, which worked out great because now I have two really strong single target units for ice and quantum respectively
If you have gepard you can put yanqing near gepard so if an enemy does splash damage it hits yanqing's shield and recovers more energy for his burst

Yanqing is fun to use. I don't have gepard, but March works, just need to shield every other turn or every other two turns if the boss has global aoe. If there is no global aoe, even better. But I am hoping to get Gepard or Adventurine later :3

I started this game a month ago and I really want Yan Qing I love this story, appearance, and voice, his combat is pretty good too even if a tad restrictive. I suppose time is on my side so i'll draw him eventually but until than.
FiNALLY I MADE IT HERE. I went like 3 accounts just to get Yanqing 😭I went from Hopeless(didnt get to the 5 star gacha at lvl7 due to idiocy)>Bailu>Bronya>AND FINALY MY LITTLE BOY. I wasn't planning to create any other acc since my first account has Clara and Bailu at TB 30 and EQ 1. I also finished the Jarilo VI arc and now on Xianzhou lofu but! Thats when I came across Yanqing's 5 star trial. HES GORGEOUS AND HIS SKILLS ARE JUST OMG. I just know he'd be my sunshine if I have him as my starter 5 star. And now that I have him, I'll make sure to build him in ever best way possible.

I like using his kit in conjunction with Tingyun's skill and ult so he can also get that extra lightning damage on top of his damage.
He's my first 5-star and I accidentally (with some miraculous magic) E2'd him while pulling in standard, so I'm glad I can finally build this little guy :D
I got him and seele just 10 pull apart, and because i have been *spoiled* with the damage of seele and her signature lightcone, my Yanqing isn't played regularly because the damage isn't as good(yet). But hopefully i can increase the damage with this guide, Thanks 😁

When you see a huge block of text, the character is stacked. Haha. I pair him with March, Tingyun and Clara. Tingyun buffs, his own buffs, a skill into ult rotation usually one shots Ice weak enemies. I off bannered him in Seele's banner (I got her 10 pulls after but this is a Yanqing video. 😂) but he's really strong. ❤️💕

Got yanqing from beginner's pulls, got E1 from Seelee banner(thank gods still got her only 17 pulls later) and got gepard and hissignature light cone from standard banner, so I think the game REALLY wanted me to build him)

When I first got star rail Yanqing was the character I wanted the most, then, I got seele and her light cone in 36 summons, but I then got yanqing for my beginner 5 star, then I got bail at like 30 pity on standard, so ya

I've got Gepard, but I use March for shield. I got Yanqing yesterday so I might change it. I was so happy cause I got an Erudition Light cone as my second 5 star.
I got him as my guaranteed 5 star from the beginner banner and then got his first aedolon as an early 5 star from the permanent account level event.
He's my very first 5*, then got Seele with Gepard without spending anything. He's still in my main team coz he's so cool!

I run a Gepard, Bronya, Yanqing, and Blade. It works surprisingly well. Im not end game yet though.

Yanqing is also pretty nice with Topaz. He does follow up attacks and that helps with the Numby attacks. Aswell as having a fire unit to break more enemies. I run Gepard, Yanqing Topaz and Tingyun and i found that team works very well. Yanqing does the main damage but Topaz and Numby also does good dps. The only issue is that it's not great for AOE.
Keep in mind now with Ruan Mei in play, you can actually forgo speed on his boots and instead go for Attack% since that's just a larger boost of damage. As for rope, attack% is the clear choice.
As for substats, Crit Damage, Crit Rate, Attack% and HP%/SPD is without a doubt the best since that helps him survive and dish more damage. Effect Hit Rate is good though since you need 67% roughly to somewhat guarantee freezes. Gepard is his best teammate tho ngl

Yanqing is basically when you dont have Seele. Sushang and Dan Heng is basically when you dont have Seele and Yanqing.
