Because he lives in Europe, where everything is speed-limited. The speedometer goes beyond the limit because you can get the limiter removed with AMG's driver package - which you have to pay for.

I absolutely HATE the interior of the Mercedes e class! There’s so much shit going on EVERYWHERE! You look to your left there’s 20 things on the fucking DOOR look down you see a huge center console that is largely useless and the dashboard area is damn near 3 FEET LONG IN SCREENS! In the S class it works so damn well cause it FEELS like a executive cruiser especially with the ambient lighting but with this E coupe it just feels extremely over done and yacht-like in my two door AMG coupe smh. IMO they should take notes from Land Rover, Porsche, and bmw on how to include large digital screens,luxuriousness, AND driver oriented interior presentations
