I have visited the Farose twice in the past two years and enjoyed it very much. One of the many talented people from the Faroes is the singer/songwriter Eivor. She is astonishingly talented.
It was really nice to see your video , to see the faroe islands … it’s really beautiful !!! For me , it’s a little bit difficult to go back home since my father is not here anymore ….. everything , everybody make me realize how much I miss him
I’m visiting Faroe Islands for the first time right now and can’t imagine a more beautiful place to call home - you are lucky and I hope you find your home again to be as comforting as you need
@@AnnieJulian my favorites were touring Vágar the waterfall and the lake above the ocean and dinner at Raest! I was going to suggest to meet up for coffee at Paname but thought that would have been too weird so didn’t. Hope everything is going well.
Yes ❤️ Exactly. It is so strange to see so many people here all of a sudden. Hotels and tourist attractions… Not bad, just very different. I’m glad more people get to experience it 🇫🇴 Love, Annie
a journey back to the storms and shadows of the past can be challenging, but you seem to do it just right :) being raised on such a beautiful island is a true privilige. i'd love to see more videos of faroe islands! thank you and all the best for you!
So funny, yesterday I was just thinking we had not seen a video from you in a long time and today your video pops up. Your homeland is so very beautiful. I feel like as we get older we tend to appreciate things more. I know I have. But also, as our world is changing, people are going back to their roots and really trying to figure out where we come from. Lots of people getting back into holistic and herbal medicines and just back to Mother Earth. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! I would love to see more of your islands!
I love this comments! Couldn’t agree with you more ❤️ In Sweden we really love getting back to nature, getting my hands in the soil 🌱 feeling the seasons change. And yeah, coming back to my roots this time was really special. Thank you so much for watching ❤️ More videos from Faroe Islands coming up 🙏 Love, Annie
The Faroe Islands is such an interesting place - living in Western NY it isn't a place on most peoples' radar. Please do share more of your life there :)
Hi Annie, the nature in your home country looks amazing! 😍 Glad you like it there more now again and that you visited your family and friends there 😊 Would love to see more videos from The Faroe Islands ❤ Have a wonderful day and weekend ❤ Dominika
Hey Dominika 😍 Thanks for being here and sharing your words with me ❤️ More videos from Faroe Islands (and Sweden) coming up 😘 I hope you are well and enjoying life 🩷 Lots of love, Annie
@AnnieJulian sure, you can check addy goes places, willow y, DW, west goes east, I am sure other channels will pop up. Let me know what you think. Be well my lady.
That was a lovely video of a rustic and beautiful place. I have lived in the same midwestern state in the US for 69 years. I have moved many times to different towns but never left the state. It starts getting busy where I live and I move. I like it calm, guess I am not very adventurous. The US is a very big country and I have seen many different climates and cultures without leaving the country. We are retired and we have a goal of seeing all the states. My daughters live in the far North and the far south, 1700 miles apart so I see a lot of the country when going to visit them, but I am always glad to come back to my stone house in the central plains.
Dear Annie! I loved watching your video about the Faroe Islands. I find it very beautiful and I hope you will release more video's in the near future about the island you were born and grew up. The Faroe Islands is definitely a destination on my bucket list. Do you have some go-to spots I can't miss if I be there? Already looking forward to your next video (as always!)😘
Hi Guy 😍😍😍 Thank you for your comment 🙏 Great question (and a hard one) 😅 I answered it yesterday, and it will be in my next video about Faroe Island - after a few videos on the way from Sweden. Thank you! Love, Annie
What a wonderful video Annie. I knew you were from the Faroe (a previous mention of this and we exchanged comments). I am not from the Faroes but my son married a lovely girl from Kalback (not too far I think from your own home village) and after completing studies in Aberdeen they returned there in 2013 with my grandson Benjamin. They now have three children and I visit them twice per year - but I can say that a large part of my heart is there with them. I love the Faroes in all its guises - even the wind and weather. More than that, I love the culture of the Faroes and especially the 'can-do' attitude I see in abundance there. I love the knitting, the drekkamun, the informality and the humility of the Faroes even although its accomplishments are way beyond its size and population. I have been on every island except Littla and Storra Dimnun - yes, even Kolltur, Hestur, Sandoy, Nolsoy, Kalsoy, etc. It is not my home town or home country - this is in the call fields on Lanarkshire in Scotland - but your video resonates with me in having a resurgent pride in my childhood and all its difficulties, joys, thrills. I so enjoyed the video and your reflections on being home. I loved the undersea roundabout closing as I have now driven there many times in wonder and joy on a bilker with my grandchildren. Beautiful.
Dear Jim, Thank you so much for this comment, for sharing your story and connection to The Faroes. I already see there are SO many more things to tell about these magical islands. I'm glad you share a fascination for them. That is impressive, that you have visited all of the populated islands (almost). And I'm glad it also resonated to your story, back in Scotland. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Sending lots of love to you and your family! And yes, Kalbak is the neighbour village to mine. Well seen! Love, Annie
Hi Annie :) Long time no see I love your video! I was visiting Birita two weeks ago and got to experience your amazing country, and some of the traditional food items like grindehval and dried fish. Hope you're well :)
Hi, Annie 👋 Happy to see you and your smile again 😍 I have one question about your home, where did you study, I mean in Faroe Islands have school, this question come ro me few times while I watching this video 😉
I understand the impact of growing tourism. I wonder if there are governmental policies to prevent the impact from being too consequential. I hope. Much of Scandinavia could use such protections. I would say places like Iceland, The Faroe Islands, and parts of the rest of the Scandinavian countries would benefit. Also, I wonder about what of that creativity is carried in the blood. I'm a Texan of Swedish heritage and I'm an artist and designer. This was a great video story.
Hey Andrew! Thanks for your comment. They are working on how to properly welcome the tourists without the nature or the animals suffering from the extended traffic. Maybe it is genetic, I don't know :) What kind of art and design do you do? Lots of love, Annie
@@AnnieJulian I tend to draw and watercolor for art. I'm a professional graphic designer, primarily print, but I've done web, app, event decor, jewelry, interior... all kinds of design. Thanks!
