I do believe this is my very first sighting of a 51 Olds 98. So yes, they are rare these days. Glad I found this and thanks Tom, I'm glad this brought back some memories.
It is so nice to see this well preserved, very presentable unrestored Olds. The “Rocket V8 “ introduced in 1949 was a big success, putting Olds ahead in the medium to luxury part of the market . The 98 was about as fancy and luxurious as a Cadillac but at a lower price. olds went a big sales upswing during these years.
When I fist saw this Olds, my heart skipped a beat. Wow, what a find. I see that sometime during it's life both right hand doors were replaced and still had that 98 chrome trim. And then there is the three piece rear glass. Yes, unrestored but still a beauty. Many thanks ML. I'm glad you like this as much as I do.
This well preserved Oldsmobile is in very nice condition!!! I think that I'd try to buff out the paint to see if it's savable, but then there's the slight mismatch in color on the passenger side doors, hmm!! Thanks for sharing another fun video!!! 👍🎄☃️🤶
A rare car to find with all of it's patina, mis matched doors and faded paint. Isn't this what makes this generic Olds so wonderful ? Glad you like this Chris. I was delighted to find this. Many thanks.
@@55lincoln You're welcome. I agree. As long as the body is solid, with no rust holes. And as long as it's mechanically maintained and it runs and drives. Happy Holidays! 🙂
My parents had a 51 2dr Holiday. Many memories ago.
You don’t find many of the 51 & 52 Olds at car shows. Thanks for sharing this one.❤

I agree. I like original, unrestored, and well preserved cars. 🙂
@@jasoncarpp7742 Those are the very best kind.
Super, nice Olds. I would rather have the Olds over a Caddy. Thank you for sharing.
Yes, this is a very super nice Olds. I love everything about it. Glad that you like this also. Thanks so much Chris.

@@55lincolnYou are absolutely right!! 🎄
@@christopherkraft1327 Thanks ! If only I had the resources to get this Oldsmobile.
Hey Warren. Lovely looking car. 🙂
Yes, this is a real nice restorable relic. Glad you like this one. Thanks Jason.
@@55lincoln You're welcome. Assuming the body is solid and has no rust holes I'd keep the body as it is. A little patina never hurt a car.
@@jasoncarpp7742 Sometimes cars with some patina show up at car shows and there is nothing wrong with that. Again, glad you like. Thanks.

@@jasoncarpp7742 If it runs and drives with no rust, then that's a game changer. Happy Holidays to you also.
Great car !
Thanks so much for enjoying.
Whoever parked it there left it in Neutral and didn't know that Reverse was used for Park.
You would think that was common knowledge. Anyway, thank you for enjoying this old 98.
Here's a different video of the same car, shot outdoors in bright daylight.
