    Great stuff, as usual. One source you didn't mention is online auctions from a local auction house. I found a nearby auction house here in Dallas, TX that does 2 things. They sponsor estate sales, where we bid on the items online, then go to the house to pick up the items we won when the sale ends. They also do a weekly auction of items from their own facility, again bidding online, then going to their location to pick up our items won. The only problem I've seen is that we are competing with buyers who are willing to pay more than we are willing to pay as a reseller. They are willing to pay the price at which we would like to resell the item, so we often lose bids. But I have bought a few items cheap enough to resell on eBay, and it's convenient & time-saving.

    Thank you Samson. I’ve been an eBay member since 1999 both selling & buying sporadically. I’m now retired and my “Inventory” is selling my own shopping addiction STUFF. I’m not technically a hoarder, but I have a lot of stuff. I’m doing ok, but I sure wish I could make a little more $ for stuff I’ve paid a lot of $ for. My problem is I have a lot of NEW UNUSED stuff and get lowballed on my stuff. So guess I’m still trying to figure out how to make a lil more $$. It keeps me busy

      Cheers, thanks for watching my videos. My best advice regarding pricing would be to make sure your items are priced accurately to similar sold listings. If that is the case then you don't even need to entertain offers if you don't want to.

    Hi Samson. Thanks for another good vid.
    Apologies if you’ve covered this in a past video, but why do you even seek to source inventory at all? Why not dropshipping? Even if smaller margins, not having to fill your house with stuff, package items , mail them etc is a huuuge advantage.
    Cheers.

      Cheers, I have tried drop shipping, however I don't really enjoy it. Also, retail dropshipping is against eBay ToS so it has alot of challenges. I would rather stay in good standing with eBay & grow my business to the point where I can move it off eBay/sell it if I wanted to. I dont really see that opportunity with eBay dropshipping.

      @@SamsonTV good points (and agree re retail and marketplace dropshipping - was referring to proper wholesale dropshipping ☺️).

    Hi Samson. Great video as usual.
    I am interested in selling/sourcing lower quantity items but have higher mark ups/profit potential. I currently sell items already on EBAY where I sell lots of items per week but they have small profit margins per item.
    Do you think there are products/items out there that offer higher margin opportunities? I know I will have to most likely pay more for these items but that doesnt concern me.
    Thanks

    • @SamsonTV
      @SamsonTV  3 года назад +1

      Hi, yes this is definitely possible but does take more work to get started. It will take you longer to find these products & they will be less common in thrift stores etc. In terms of imported products, if you can find one in a specific niche you know a lot about that also solves problems for buyers, then you may be onto a product like this.

    Hey Samson, thanks for the video. Quick question - I've been going down the rabbit hole of wholesale vintage, and you're right there isnt much out there for local suppliers. The UK suppliers look much better but for shipping costs around $300-400 for 30kg of stock doesn't seem financially viable as it would add $5 per piece? Would love a video on how you deal with this. Thanks!

    • @SamsonTV
      @SamsonTV  3 года назад +1

      Hey man, all I can say is that it is definitely possible to make it work. Just about factoring in all costs & working out the price per peice. I cant tell you which specific suppliers/products I have used (would kinda be shooting myself in the foot), but I can say that I have used suppliers on that list & have found the inventory to be way more profitable then using AUS wholesalers.

    When you source online, what’s the percentage for clothing and what’s the percentage for other products (ex: video games related items, pet toys etc). Thank you. 😊

      With clothing, almost 100% of my stock has been sourced online in the past month. I have been thrifting 2 times & spent $220 sourcing locally.
