If you look at the map it’s obvious that Macabebe is in the middle of a river delta. Managing a river delta is not just the problem of Macabebe nor of Pampanga. It is a regional, even a national problem. What we need is national infrastructure to control flooding, like dams, and a large portion of these should be upstream. By the time the floods have arrived at Macabebe it’s already too late. The problem is, the Philippines is not very good at strategic 30-50 year planning. Also, infrastructure spending will be competing with the new train lines being built in NCR. Both projects should be top priority, but, of course, progress in the NCR would be more obvious and politically noticeable. We really need a 30-50 year infrastructure plan for the country ….
Hindi nayan pwe d matirhan, climate change at, yung lugar ng progress, mining, at yung bundok pinutol yung mga kahoy. Lahat ng tubig sa itaas pumunta sa iba iba.
