I combined my videos with another persons to give you 2 different perspectives of this awesome performance. I was up close as you can see and the other person was more further away… Millennium Park was packed for this fest 🔥🙌🏾

I rarely post on this platform however, this drew me from out of RUclips comment retirement !!!! Lissstttenn, I was very concerned that when Bishop Drew Sheard & Lady Karen Sheard received and accepted their roles as C.O.G.I.C Presiding Bishop and Presiding First Lady that she would have choking restrictions on her as an artist. I grew up in a very strict C.O.G.I.C state, district etc and know first hand the many Do's & Don'ts (the Don'ts outweighs the Do's) when it comes to those in the entertainment industry. And before ya'll come for me about "Lady Sheard not being an entertainer and it's ministry....... I also know and believe that Ministry comes first but it's a great mistake to be naive and not also acknowledge that there is indeed a strong entertainment/performance component to being a singer. Yes, she's a minister of the Gospel but within that, there is artistry that should be celebrated. It's not an either or but whether a both and and it is beautiful. I applaud and celebrate her and I am very proud that she hasn't allowed her church denomination to snuff her artistic ability or expression. I also further appreciate that her husband continues to cherish his Queen and provides her encouragement to do what she's GREAT at doing which is being his bride, a great mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, cousin, friend, First Lady (Local, National and International) and ARTIST!!!!

That’s God’s business, you need to make sure you get in yourself. Like you said, you respect her and so does Karen. Tina lived a turbulent life and overcame as an inspirational story of triumph. It was one mention, no need to make more out of this moment.

Tina Turner's religion was Buddhism - the belief of which is reincarnation. But the Bible teaches when we die we go to either heaven or hell - not reincarnation. Two totally different belief systems. There is no way one can follow both of these systems - one has to choose either Christianity or Buddhism. Christianity means following one God Who is Jesus Christ, and following the principles of the Bible wherein is guaranteed entrance into heaven - not reincarnation.

We don't know if Tina listened to her music and vice versa. And besides the, Tina Turner was still a phenomenal person whose music touched many. We should be able to honor the legends of music and American history which Tina did on many levels.

Tina wasn’t just a musician, but a spokesperson for women who suffered from abuse, a humanitarian, an advocate, & activist! Tina Turner opened doors for generations and was a conglomerate all by herself. It’s not like Karen spent in circles and sang “Proud Mary!” This is what I expected from your comment because I usually read comments before watching so that I know what to expect. You had me excited to find out that she only made mention of the late great Tina & not performed a song of hers.
