…and let me experience this masterpiece once again for the first time. I was so lost in this game and still looking for that feeling that will never return again…
54:26 - I honestly believe this to be one of the most ingenious battle themes ever written. With such a dark and somber soundtrack the whole way through ICC, and with such a major and terribly powerful villain your characters are now facing, Sindragosa's battle theme just subverts everything you'd expect in the best way. Hats off to Russell Brower for that one.
It's so great because Sindragosa is usually the last fight before the big man, The Lich King, himself. You're fighting his potentially deadliest servant. You've come this far. You won't back down! It's the perfect soundtrack for the atmosphere of the fight. It's tense, it's action, It's heroic, yet has the potential to fall into a lamentful song at any moment...
"You have found your way here because you are among the few gifted with true vision in a world cursed with blindness. You can see through the fog that hangs over this world like a shroud, and grasp where true power lies! Fix your eyes upon your crude hands; the sinew, the soft meat, the dark blood coursing within. It is a weakness! A crippling flaw... A joke, played by the creators upon their own creations. The sooner you have come to accept your condition as a defect, the sooner you will find yourself in a position to transcend it. Though our master all things are possible. His power is without limit, and his will unbending. Those who oppose him will be destroyed utterly, but those who serve - who serve wholly, unquestioning, with utter devotion of mind and soul - Elevated! To heights beyond your ken!" - Lady Deathwhisper By far my favorite boss ever introduced in WoW. Thank you for posting this Everness. Thank you Blizzard for all of the memories. For the Lich King!
Lady deathwhisper..my god the memories are brutal man...this music is a huge nostalgia trip. Goosebumps while i'm reading your comment with this music in the background. My friends we have experienced a game that we will never experience again.
My only problem with wotlk was that prior to ICC we had no more or interactions with all but the princes. These were the lks top scourge but nothing ever expounded upon who they were or what they had done to get where they were. That and no special designs or unique weapons dropping from lk.
@@cryptlord99 agreed. They replaced horseman, gave a 2nd anub fight. KT should have been pre boss of lk, similarly to having to go thru saphiron to get to KT.
10:25 : "This is our final stand. What happens here will echo through the ages. Regardless of outcome, they will know that we fought with honor. That we fought for the freedom and safety of our people! Remember, heroes, fear is your greatest enemy in these befouled halls. Steel your heart and your soul will shine brighter than a thousand suns. The enemy will falter at the sight of you. They will fall as the light of righteousness envelops them! Our march upon Icecrown Citadel begins now!"
I remember as a kid watching my dad grind out ICC with his raid group and being so in love with the look of everything. I loved sindragosa and the blood princes and lady deathwhisper. I played a little of BC and Vanilla but WoTLK is one of if not my favorite of the expansions. I miss being a curious kid playing the introduction quests of my blood elf death knight, or running around Dalaran as my dads night elf hunter, times were much more simple lol.
Tyler Ln me too. I remember watching him play through Hellfire Peninsula and asking if I could could fly around as his human death knight. I remember always being confused as to why he played a human when he loved the undead so much cuz I didn’t understand the difference between the alliance and the horde. (My uncle is an alliance player, my dad wanted to play with but was a horde player, so he made a human). I have vague memories of waking up in the middle of the night and being so enthralled in watching him fly through the Undercity. I thought it was the coolest thing I’d ever seen. Miss those days.
@@edenproductions6290 I think Undercity and Stormwind have some great ambience and music especially undercity. Tirisfall Glades also is one of my favorite zones too all of it brings back a flood of memories

I remember going into ICC my first time as a Assassin Rogue back in WOTLK. It was so scary but remember it being so awesome, like you were at the end game of sorts and the Lich King was the last boss. 10:25 gives me hella nostalgia.
I feel so lucky being able to experience WOLTK as it was with friends & unknowns ! This became a masterpiece very fast and storyline & music was so unique and melted into one big timeline in my life i never would change for anything !
I love what they did with the music for this raid - could have chosen just to go with a traditional, Plaguelands-like soundtrack but instead went with some really fun tracks that still captures the atmosphere of the place
Best Raid in WoWs history (alongside Ulduar). Thanks for uploading these, i love using your compilations for my D&D sessions, my players love them too :)
they just couldn't possibly have topped them. Ulduar gave us the sense wonder at the sheer awesomeness of time and the universe, and ICC gave us the creeping, cold finality of death. where could they realistically go after that tbh.
Finally, last night, after 84 times, I got the Invincible's reins. Now, with Arthas' steed by my side I can relax with the music, not get frustrated by my lack of luck ;)
I know the feeling. Although, 84 tries, seems okay. I didn't count my tries, but it at least feels like much more. Although now I have it, so like you, I can stop getting frustrated and insulting in my head every guy I come across who has the mount.
The glory days of my gaming experiences. I was a young 18 year old adult just had my wisdom teeth removed. Just graduated, wasn't sure what life had in store for me. And I loved raiding this place, so much damn fun.
listening to this here until I finally get a new laptop and can play WOW again. This soundtrack alone was what made farming Invincible that much more enjoyable than many other a mount!
Disagree. Worst addon next to WoD. T7 Content was a joke, Ulduar was great, ToC lame copy & paste and icc so much wasted potential. Some joke encounter (airship battle) and lame visuals. Look at the plagueworks, like wtf. 1 Hallway split into 3 "paths", all looking the same. Wasted potential as I said. Music is great though.
I've never played WoW, but these vistas & music make me want to. Invincible is such a masterpiece of music. It reminds me of Oscar Arajou's work on Castlevania LoS.
Just noticed, the Crimson Halls theme has a similar motif to the Blood Elf zones, should have noticed it sooner especially since it makes sense in the way that the San'layn are just Scourge Blood Elves
