Great video. PTO issue with the tractor is interesting if an unpleasant surprise/problem… wondering what the fix was, call the dealer & get a software update/fix. From an H&S point of view is standing in front of the running pick-up & putting your hands into the general area a good idea… I wouldn’t do it? When I worked with an Agricultural Contractor (years ago), ie when trailed harvesting was all there was we’d have been having a great day lifting 30 acres, I’m amazed that you can get 140 lifted… then again we didn’t have 265 HP on the harvester plus the capacity of the tractors and trailers drawing-in. Keep up the good work.
@@FarmTheoryNI That’s good to know… such a new tractor you’d be in bother if you didn’t have a definitive cause and of course a fix. Hopefully you won’t have anymore issues.
great video - quick question. I make mods for the Farming Simulator game. What are the odds I could come and see that harvester to create one for Farm Sim?
Best enrertainment of the week! You should give your brother the camera more often The 8S looks deadly in the evening sunshine but the Lada stole fhe show. lf there's any justice that video deserves to go viral. Kylie will be your next subscriber😎
Great video as always, silage time is a very nostalgic time for me, big self propelled are so cool but something about a trailed harvester just hits differently. Such a cool set up you've got and makes your silage season videos stand out that you lift yourselves. Thanks for the efforts to share it all with us 🤩🫡🫡
Hi Andrew. Great video. Two pieces of advice for you. 1. Try the mchale pick up times in the pick up reel they don’t snap as easily. 2. Stop using nut f*€kers (adjustable spanner or vice grips) when opening nuts and bolts, especially when using the impact wrench.
Fantastic video. My wife and I were watching it and we both remarked you choose great music for your videos, although surprised it was Kylie! I assume the mad rush to do so much in one day is so you can seal the pit, or it is just easier to get it all done when you've arranged extra drivers and tractors?
Great video Andrew... your brother did a good job filming..mind you he could have hooked a trailer onto the lada and you would have been finished in under 13 hrs!!😂
And folk think it's only John deere that will not give you access to the software but no manufacturer will allow you access without an engineer to do it for you
Looks like it should be excellent quality Andrew...just curious, how long is it growing since 1 st cut ? I thought you did 1st cut on 10 may ? How much fertilizer did you put out ? Are you satisfied it is all used up ?
Yeah, 10th of may to the 20th of June. 41 days or just under 6 weeks. The "fertiliser" used up thing is a bit of a myth, however I also reduced the rate because I thought I would cut a light early crop. It's in a video I think. 😅
I suppose what I'm trying to imagine a tractor with a harvester off the front linkage so you can look forward, pick up the row and also fill the traile. Madness I know... next thing I'll be on about a fertiliser speeder on the front of the tractor....
Great vid and your Brothers shots were really good , but one thing i did NOT like was you stood in front of the forager when it was running and having your hands getting grass off the pick up real , i know you were rushing to finish but if you slipped well we know what can happen , your a very BAD BAD BOY , i know its sounds like i am being picky but something happened to me with a running machine , it was not nice , sorry to criticize , please don't take this the wrong way sorry
Great video, your brothers footage is funny, he likes the lada more than silage action! 😂 Have you turned the exhaust so you can hear the rasp come from it through the sun roof! 😄
Andrew could you not swap over the "greedy boards" on those silage trailers so you don't have to reach over them all the time? Was talking to our local Massey dealer Martin Hanna about the 8s he says they're a great tractor but have serious software issues
I thought you were very clever….. until I saw you out working in front of the pickup reel with the PTO still running. Surely you know much better than that?
Russia not the enemy , look at Nato and Farage told truth i spent most of my life working in former soviet countries i know it better than all arm chair warriors in the west 😂
The Lada absolutely made my day !!😂 we need more lada content! 😅
I will see what I can do. 😅

Thank you! 🫡 Definitely something different that I actually DO the silage. 😅
This video is for sure gonna go viral. The internet wants the Lada 😎
So what you're saying is you want a drag race between the lada and the Jimny... 🤔
The lada will win that one comrade
One great video and funny with the lada your brother did good job have to get him on and tell us the story with the lada😊
I will ask!
Why do you not swap the silage sides over on the trailers so that it's easier to fill?
The brackets don't match. Great design.
Loved that video, there is something about Silage that makes me smile.
You and me both!

Great video and your brother did a great job
Brilliant video Andrew you're a busy man
Much quieter now for a few weeks. Can't wait. 😅
Roughly how long does it take to fill a trailer ? Great video btw that set up is aweet
I must time it. Maybe 8 minutes?
Anyway you could give some background on your farm. Where it's located, size, is there beef and tillage as well as dairy.
Good idea! I will do that! 👌

Easier to just organise all for one day and also it's important not to let the grass lie for longer than a day.
Is that a dig at Tom P? 😂
What happened to the exhaust and the beacon on the 8s
Becon just folds down, exhaust spins because the clamp won't tighten enough. It is to be fixed!
What a tremendous video indeed! When you make a plan, it'll always go wrong lol :)
Ya gotta love a Lada 😍

Good job and more of comrade kylie
Yes Comrade! 🫡
congratulations...what is your yield per acre...I wonder about the moisture content of the grass
3-4t and it will be 25-30% dm
Do you have the software for the 8s for diagnostics
I don't, can't I get it?
@@FarmTheoryNI I dont know, i have seen software for 6400 series on donedeal

Great video as always 👌🏻 what’s with the exhaust on the 8s 😂
It spins. 😅
and also if you get a wet back end, at least you can get the 3rd cut earlier if the 2nd cut is early
4th cut*, that is a big consideration also.
He needs a winch for the font of the lada. You won't win the RUclips health n safety awards for pulling the grass out of the roller☝️
Not my best move. 😅
@@FarmTheoryNI the most important thing when it comes to farm safety is luck. The second most important thing is, not relying on luck alone
We should all be driving lada’s 😁
Hi Andrew I think your da should put the calves in those silage fields to tidy up 😂😂😂
Don't even start!! 🤣 It's been a big argument this week!
Great Video. thanks for sharing! it's 2 am here, thanks
Great video!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Would it be easier to have the harvester positioned more off the front. Allow easier driving positions and easier filling
Not sure what you mean?

Great video as always got a idea for you why don't you arrange a visit to Tom Pemberton farm I think it would be fantastic 😀
I'm going to manage his second cut.
Great job

Just spins, it's not bent. 😅

I absolutely agree, bad choice.
Good stuff
Did you ever hear back from MDE if they made any changes to their rhino pak?
They have, it's being made at the moment apparently
That lada is cool as! 😎
It's not bad!
Great silage video why don't you put the high side on opposite side of trailer make your job easier doing great job .
I'm going to get that done. Must try and get someone to do it this week.
I have seen your crop and it would not make good grazing lol good video keep up the good work 👏
And excellent silage.
What do you mean by metal detectors, Andrew?
If the harvester detects metal it stops the feed rollers instantly. Then you have to reverse the real, clear off the grass and go again.
Pick up tines seems to be a real issue these days, too much recycled steel being used in them,it's great for the people selling them
I agree!!
Great video, your brothers footage is funny, he likes the lada more than silage action! 😂
Have you turned the exhaust so you can hear the rasp come from it through the sun roof! 😄

Great
Are you mad putting your hand near a running auger and pick up reel 😢😮
Not my best move. 👌

Great tractor with some software issues, it's not that bad. I will get the trailers swapped round, not simple, required cutting and welding.
👍👍👍.
👍.
Great video, but you really shouldn't be in front of the pick while it's going!
Thank you, and yes I agree.

keep that kiddy shit for George Saunders

No body asked
That massey is giving an awful lot of bother for a new tractor you should have bought a john deer
All little stupid electrical things, I am very glad it's under warranty. 😅

Exactly Putin is under attack because he chucked the Rothschilds out if Russia and won't be part of the great reset.
RUSSIA IS DEFINITELY NOT THE ENEMY!
I agree. Just have to be careful what you say on the internet. 🤣 It's not a simple good/bad situation.
