@@disrespecc9678 They should be out in the open, not stuck in cages. You can have cats or especially dogs that can move freely and actually enjoy being around humans as pets. But keeping animals locked up in cages is almost never right, unless they're injured, sick or disabled and need help because they can't survive on their own anymore. Same goes for zoos...
@@lynquid You haven’t done enough research. Pets in cages always have big cages, and social animals should always have a partner of the same animal with them in the cage. They get released from the cage for play (for squirrels, it’s most likely foraging), they should have bedding, foraging toys, climbing stuff… you have no idea how easy it is to keep an animal entertained.
Squirrels aren’t domestic, so they’re supposed to be kept outside. However, animals such as Fancy Rats, Fancy Mice, many bird species, Domestic Red or Fennec foxes enjoy human company, and the first one even understands basic discipline.
