17:45 unbelievable on Netflix has a scene where the detective puts her gun in a safe by the door. Only time I've ever seen that! Great detail in a phenomenal show, which is very closely and accurately based on a true story.
Highschool wasn’t rough for me because I went to a nerd school and for the first time in my education I wasn’t being severely bullied and I was no longer experiencing suicidal idolation like I had since 2nd grade
The problem with thinking of a gun as a deterrent or for your protection is that the stats don't lie, just the presence of a gun increases your risk of death, usually by your own gun. While it can deter career criminals from targeting you in the first place with 60% of felons admitting to avoiding places they know are armed, people who have access to a firearm at home are nearly twice as likely to be unalived by another and 9 times as many people report being victimized by a person with a gun than report being protected by one.
@@MrScissor90 yes, that is a true statement. But we don’t pretend cars are there to protect us and we require proof of ability to use them responsibly.
@@ookamiblade6318 we do tjough. We have the NHTSA along with countless other regulations to wnsure safety. And are you comparing a privilege to a right?
@user-zh1dx5dl2b and you need to reread that second amendment that you're so proud of it guaranteed guns for a well regulated militia in other words regulations were supposed to be a requirement for gun ownership
Zimmerman convinced a jury he shot while his head was being pounded against the ground. Alexander stated she was threatened with words and texts and shot a warning shot through a wall with her children near by (warning shots are illegal). You have to be in imminent danger to legally shoot. You can’t be in looming danger to use lethal force. The law is the same whether you are Hispanic or black. Knowing your rights to use lethal force is important.
It's dismaying how many people react to violations of individual rights of honest, peaceful people by seeking to violate the individual rights of honest, peaceful people.
You can buy a gun online or at a gun show from a non-licensed seller, with no background check at all. This is a very common loophole and many states have really lax gun laws when it comes to this. This took 5 minutes of research to find out by the way.

Lucky!🍀 The bullying started in 2nd grade and did not end until I learned to stay away from people. Alone but safe.
I miss you!!!❤❤❤😊

This is a silly argument. This is like saying people who own a car are much more likely to die in a car accident.

Bizarre having this conversation and also having a gun?? Like??
You have not fully grokked USA's adoration of the gun.
Glad to be a Canadian, where things are somewhat better.
This is misinformation

We already have background checks. Every licensed gun dealer is already required by federal law to perform a background check for every sale.
