Oh Kim…you need to rent the movie musical, Meet Me in St Louis, with Judy Garland and Margaret O’Brian. The story line takes place in St Louis in 1903 and shows all the Victorian homes and the life back then. The costuming is glorious of that period and it will just bring smiles to your face. The music is wonderful too.I could see you in period costumes giving tours!!! Your first Halloween party needs to be costumes of the turn of the century! LOL I just LOVE your house and the passion you guys have for it’s restoration NOT it’s renovation!! Good luck and enjoy the process although it’s hard work. Bless you both.
Nice to see the neighborhood and hear about the history of the homes. Also love to see the antiques…like in upstate NY where I grew up. Thanks for sharing!
This is a great idea!!! We can see Kaleb with the progress and the furniture purchase for the house so we can see where it will be tentatively be placed in the house and watch this for the shopping of furniture and house tours etc! That way those people that don’t like the tours, they don’t have to watch. Personally I like both types of videos, so I think it’s a GREaT Idea!! Thanks for sharing 💞🥳🥰
Thank you! I wanted to add better transitions and a card explaining I forgot to film an outro for the first half before I went through the sprinkler thing at the park 😂 but Kaleb was so busy editing himself last night and I wanted to get it up ASAP so I just put it together with the skills I’m working with.
Hi Kim. Love your new channel. So glad you are showing antiques. That's one of my passions. 💜 Cute doggy box and it would be great to put treats in for your babies. Really fun to see your neighborhood with all the historical buildings. Can't wait for your next vid. 😊
❤️❤️❤️. A good vlog Kim! I like the different styles and sizes of homes in your neighborhood. I wonder how the smaller homes were received . But the 3 modern Eco…homes you showed feel out of place and U-G-L-Y, especially the one for sale with no roof line. Talk about something that’s going to hold water and snow! 😁
Thanks Kim! I enjoyed the tour…. I wish I had a ton of money, I would invest in bringing back the historical aspect to the neighborhood. It is so beautiful.
The silver "chip and dip" bowl is actually a gravy boat missing it's spoon. I donated one exactly like it a few years ago. Lined your walking tour!!!!!
So glad u guys teamed up. I watch This House too. Those guys do their homework. Really sorry about the empty lots. And him glad ur getting lots of attention and good press!
Kim, Thank you for showing the neighborhood. its sad to see so much open lots. you'd think things would be full with housing like it is right now. I guess developers don't like the area. the buildings are pretty much like here in Boise. love the architecture and history. the area reminds me of the Boise downtown area and the North End here in Boise. HUGS to both you a Kaleb! stay safe and keep the videos coming! we love watching the progress!
Love the This House channel! I subbed with them, too, after the tour. Great job on your first vlog post, Kim! You kept it moving and interesting and fun! Great neighborhood tour and I enjoyed seeing the antique shop and the things you were interested in. The box with the dogs was a steal at $8! So cute! Can’t wait for more!
me: just got to the office kim: drops a vlog! me: work can wait the umbrella was very cute and probably appropriate for the time. ❤️your vlog! feel free to post again! we enjoy EVERYTHING you guys share w/us!
I LOVE your channel! I hope one day you will have a meet 'n greet! Looking forward to many more videos on both channels. Thank you for sharing St. Louis and your progress on the house with us!
Love the silver pitcher with the flowers on it (13:02)! That would be cute in the house cleaned up with fresh flowers in it. Love the antique shopping! Good job! I subscribed.
I really enjoyed the walking tour and being able to see your neighborhood. Antique shop prices are so variable, but I enjoy seeing what they have. Thanks for adding this Channel, definitely looking forward to more! 🙂
Thanks for the look see around the neighborhood. I didn't realize how busy the street is. When filming in the house you wouldn't know at all. Nice job on your first video.
I enjoyed seeing your neighborhood. Love the old homes and glad that there are people who do too. Thanks for creating this channel and definitely looking forward to seeing what you do with it!
Loved the tour and the shopping. I hope you get a room to yourself in the house and then your get to decorate it any way you want. That dog box was adorable.
Haha! That was the first thing my daughter did when she and her husband bought a big, older house. Claimed her room and is still working on getting it the way she’d like it.
Yes the maids room is going to be my craft room! Hopefully I can find a cabinet with a Murphy style big table so I can cut fabric and work on it but put it away when I don’t need it so I can have a little couch and tv to chill out.
@@cmpeacoe oh my goodness I haven’t actually sewed anything in years because I haven’t had the space to do it! I know how to crochet, knit and needle felt but I don’t know if I have any projects hanging around still. I had to majorly downsize a few years ago when I moved from an apartment with a former partner into an apartment shared with a roommate.
Hey Kim! I subscribed before I even watched 😊. Thank you for bringing us along. Can’t wait to see more. This was perfect. It felt like I was hanging out with a friend. If you are worried about music and copyright strikes, film your shopping trips, but mute the sound during editing and just do a voiceover to explain what we are seeing. Or just add your own royalty free music to accompany the footage. Either way, I enjoyed the video, so please keep taking us along. It’s fun to see what the stores have in other cities/states. You did a great job.
Hi Kim. I was fascinated by the period architecture of your part of St. Louis, so different from the colonial architecture here in Australia. You will have so much enjoyment in finding furniture and bric-a-brac from various antique shops to add charm to the house as it develops. I have a mid-Victorian house here in Oz and have had the experience of refurbishment, so as a consequence enjoy your videos immensely.
It's encouraging to see that some of the neighborhood houses have already been rehabbed or are in the process. Hopefully, those empty lots won't be filled with houses that are totally inappropriate for the area.
Yay Kim!!! Was so excited to see you've made this Channel. It compliments the other one so well. Enjoyed the video bunches. Keep up the good work. Much love to you both from Seattle.
This was a great vlog, Kim! The homes in your neighborhood are wonderful to see as are the churches and the lovely park. I am very interested in the Frederick Douglass museum, too. And, anytime I can vicariously view the inside of an antique store I’m game. I loved the fact that you used an umbrella ☂ to protect yourself from the sun as I have done that in Europe when walking my granddaughter home from school. Glad I’m not the only odd one.
Some of those tea servers might be pewter, and might be repro's - found some before. The drink pitchers are cute - could be for serving breakfast milk or cold water for animals??
Hi Kim just come on over from your other channel, loved the tour and the shop, I would spend a small fortune lol, great video and subbed xxx Hugs Dede xxxx
Hey Kim.. Great first video and as I mentioned in my last weeks comment you are an excellent presenter/commentator! thank you so much for showing us the tour of your neighbourhood,I’m watching from here in Melbourne Australia..Your neighbourhood is such an eclectic mix of housing and architecture.Would love to visit one day and of course see your house! I also share your passion for antique and vintage shopping so thanks for adding your walk through the place. Catch you next week!
Dip and chip bowl may have been a gravy boat/bowl. Dip and chip are more modern "inventions". The bowl and plate are attached to prevent the bowl sliding into someone's lap while being passed at dinner.
Always thought a church would make a cool house. Any of those would be cool. Especially the gothic one, but I'm sure the bills would be horrendous on that one.
Great stuff Kim! I recently moved back to Missouri, after being gone for 46 years! The love you guys have for preserving history, means the world to me! Thank you!
Loved it Kim, I will be watching!! Thanks for the tour and information. To think my ancestors were all around in those areas. Can't wait for your next explore/video!! Peace, Kim ~

Thanks so much for letting us be a part of your journey.
Awesome vlog! Loved seeing all of the houses and the antique store was fun! Your voice volume was really low throughout the video. Hopefully that will improve with time!
Ooh! SO fun to go antiquing with you even if it is online. lol Great content and interesting! LOVED the neighborhood tour, as well :) Can't wait for more! I'm soooo happy I came in late to your house and vlog projects. That way I can binge watch! Yay! Keep up the great work and keep them coming! Thank you so much!
Kim I came back and watched this a second time and I realized this is the neighborhood that has been even further decimated by the new NGA campus that spans what was like 4-6 city blocks. What a shame, mega projects like that are hardly good for the neighborhood. Wish there were more people like you and Kaleb dedicated to preserving the history of the neighborhood, or what’s left of it.
Usually if you ask for permission to film, most businesses don't mind, because it's good for business. It's considered free advertising. And helps bring in customers.
That was so much fun! (The mushroom canister set is the same one we had in the 70s!) I'm glad they allowed you to film inside! Yay...look forward to whatever you upload 😀 just fun to explore different areas! Thank you

Great 1st vlog,
Kim sweetheart, you are not at all pale, you’re one of the fairest of them all!!!
There are a lot of empty spaces where beautiful houses once stood. It is sad but it was nice to see what is left has been or is being rehabbed.
Great Vlog! Thanks for the shout out! It is always amazing to see behind the scenes!!
Over yonder! I love it. My great grandpa always said that!
I say it, too, lol, having learned it from my grandparents.

Love old homes, I'm here from your other channel. So excited for you both. It kills me seeing the older homes just sitting there abandoned.
Such an interesting old area. I'm in Australia (Queensland) and we lack very old buildings.
Kim, that was a fantastic idea. I often wonder if I should buy a property to restore it especially an older large Victorian.
