Played a lot of Jak 3, got to play Jak II very late, played Jak X at some point too, but never had the chance to play Jak and Daxter. Nice to see it looking pretty good with whatever openGoal is if not an emulator.
EDIT: Also played Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier!
Love this game. I used to have a PS2 in my room when I lived at home and my nephews and niece helped me finish it. Total blast with all of them.
Oh wow, i recently became re-obsessed with with this game, played through it twice, and have been watching odd speed runs. And now i get to watch a youtuber i enjoy play through it! Lucky me

The early 00s was Playstations peak, and Jak & Daxter was the cream of the crop. First game I ever played 100%. Only recently discovered your channels, but if it's gonna be more content like this, I'm here for the long haul babyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!

I recently saw a gdq speed run of the game and it made me really want to get it running on my steam deck, seeing you start it today gave me the final push of motivation to go and do that so im now playing one of my favorite games again after like after so so many years
Those giant jungle snakes look scary, and so does the river with the poisonous eels.
I loooved this game growing up! ❤️ Have been meaning to revisit it! (Edit: don’t feel bad about quoting almost every line…I found I almost could as well…lol 🤣)
One of the first games I played all the way through on PS2 other than Metal Gear & GTAs. Remember buying and going home and playing through it all the way in 7 hours then getting 100% the next day. I also value of this game more than ratchet & clank which was more popular. World design a sense that everything was connected.

I recommend the sly Cooper series too if you want to be a little criminal guy

Jak and Daxter is such a fun game to 100% complete (or is it 101%? there's one more power cell than the game tells you there is!) Jak 2 and 3 are really hard to complete tho :\
Games this astoundingly good on an artistic level make me really sad we're not there yet as far as game preservation. Like, we need a George Lucas to bat for us, the way film preservation got kickstarted back in the late '70s.

The only reason not to is if you don't like racing games I guess.
It's a proper entry in the series with a great story. It's basically the same driving mechanics as the new cars in Jak 3
