Honestly, I used to cry to my dad about the stuff other races said about black people growing up. But, now? I understand completely, I just wish I wasn’t apart of that generalization, I work hard for my possessions.
The sad part is people believing these stores are well insured.. Many businesses are now closing permanently because they can't afford the premiums for theft insurance.. In most cases the insurance companies now refuse to insure businesses that are hit repeatedly... And it puts employees out of a job, not to mention it's an inconvenience those who in need like the elderly or people who don't have a vehicle. It's not a victimless crime.. It's absolutely asinine and disgusting...

And I was directing it more to the mom and pop retailers... So if you start a business and make millions does that mean people can just steal from you???
I don’t blame insurance companies because these stores aren’t trying to prevent this from happening.
All these stores need is a button to automatically lock the doors and glass that can’t be broken so easily. They should have a button to push directly to police like banks have.
Stop making consumers to pay for these criminals. Stores that continue to be robbed should have police onboard in the back.

( Which I see has since been deleted) I also never said that I blame the insurance companies.. I was just pointing out why many businesses are closing.. It's not the insurance company's responsibility to continue to cover businesses that have repeated theft.. And they are having to pay out the a** because of retailers refusing to get control of the problem.. But also the more expensive the security the more it will affect the consumers as well...

I don't want to be black anymore sometimes. My brothers work and don't do this stuff and we all are married and only have kids we can afford, and the older ones are out of college making good money. I get tried of gh***o r*ts just taking and taking and never having anything after all their stealing so it goes on and on. These same kinds of people laughed at me in school because I was a black nerd but I would never trade places with any of them. A lot of them it a shame to say might have gone to an early grave. They called me corny because I did not like drugs but that was ok too.

This is wild but we're all not doing good I used to support my whole family and wife didn't have to work I'm now battling colon cancer and had to sale anything and everything we have a value to keep food on the table my wife had a job finally at the family dollar and worked her way up to management and because she tried to stop someone from stealing she was fired and now we're unable to afford normal things to survive and I'm unable to work with the healthcare we have today if I can't come up with almost 10k I'm stuck to suffer with colon cancer.. Everyone keep your head up and try to do what's right in life I know we're all struggling just pray it gets better folks

When I was young and today as well, I was so afraid of shoplifting. I have always paid my way in life and the African Americans waltz in a store like it belongs to them without any remorse for the higher prices that we as paying citizens have to endure. It's the concept of Leviathan in Thomas Hobbes book written in 1651. When I use to get robbed and called the police, sometimes I saw the robbers, and would tell the police. They didn't care or want to hear what I had to say, their response was, "That's what you have insurance for!" I understand what you mean. I had the police ask me twice had I recovered my stolen car. They told me on the night it was stolen that even if they saw my car they couldn't give chase. They would have to contact highway patrol or the sheriff department. I knew then they weren't going to look.

In my honest opinion, we need to be more protective of our communities of our establishments because this the reason why.
Store owners should have a right to carry a gun, have defense courses in for our work meetings (with the classic fire drills,active shooters etc.) and employees should always carry pepper spray or mace and have better security everywhere against robbery, crazy Karen’s/Kevin’s etc.
Nobody should EVER be afraid of being shot, stabbed or killed when they’re working in customer service or work establishments or have to worry about your loved ones if they could come home to a hot plate or warm hugs at home to their families everyday.
