I just would like you to know that myself I am very,very, thankful that you take the timeout to produce and make these RUclips videos. I value your opinion and honesty when it comes to Mustang Conversion , if it wasn’t for you and others on the RUclips Community I would never started my 67 conversion. I don’t claim to know everything about a Mustang but one thing is for sure, I don’t believe you would ever convert a Mustang to a Fastback if it had a greater value remaining a coupe. My dream was to have a Fastback but can never justify $20000.00 for a rust bucket. You and others are helping me achieve my dream car one step at a time. I am a hobbyist gold miner and even the original 1968 Golden Nugget Mustang just doesn't do anything for me. Maybe it's the black vinyl roof. I don't know. Make that rust bucket live again as a fastback! Cut, chop, weld and give that puppy new life! Love your channel and I appreciate all the work you put in to do these videos. I have learned a lot. Oh, and I'm not going anywhere either. 😎
I like the follow up. Well said and called the dude on the carpet. We love our mustangs and each is rare in the owners eyes. Yet reality a coupe is a coupe that the name is what carries any value. I think the dude must be a mopar guy.
ive never heard of a golden nuggy let alone care that its rare. a fastback is way cooler than any coupe ever made . besides youre the only one thats going to get that classic car back on the road .if it wernt for you that car would rot into the ground. you are the mustang savior be proud of the fact you do good work and you bring these cars back from the dead ..HAPPY BITHDAY in advance cant wait till the next video
Dude I have a 68 sea foam green coupe I have owned since 89 and I have heard so much from purist and they believe Mustangs can only be done stock. I listened to them for awhile and they cheated me out of years of fun with my car. It is you car do you! Have fun and make it yours! I did keep mine mostly stock but I did put options on I always wanted and I avoid the whole club scene. Also you earned another sub.

I have a gold nugget ! it's my first Ford project ! I will be building it , the way it came from the Factory. I'm not offended by the change to the car you are building.1 the owner has the right to do whatever he wants with his car ( it's his) 2 The value of my car just went up 5 dollars. ( now there are 480) 3 it will be a better car then the factory could have built in 68. I would like to up grade my car, but my bank account said no, cheaper to go back to factory! To the person that said it's a 140 K car, I will sale my golden nugget with all the parts I have for 40K ( it's a project)

Make that rust bucket a fastback!!!! definitely keep the gold paint and black stripes but I'm not sure about the "vinyl" top, never seen a fastback with one, at least a 67 or 68, but the 69s don't look bad.
Golden Nugget Coupe to Fastback? Just Do It! It's better for it to be that 1 of 481 to be converted to Fastback. It will eventually might be a historical piece and people will appreciate. Also it is a Canon Event.
If they care about that car that much they should buy it, I'm sure if the offer is right the owner will let it go then they can restore it as they see fit. Considering the amount of rust is nice it didn't get parted and crushed. Cannot tell you in years gone by how many Boss 302, Shelby's, etc.. seen parted and some of them were in better condition. Of course in the 70's they were plentiful and cheap because of the gas embargo. Like it or don't like it it's the owners money and is just a car. One day they all will be gone so enjoy it while you can.

If we were to use this disgruntled commenters login, with all the local sales districts promotional cars that had been done back then, technically they are no cars beyond 65/66 your "allowed" to touch Hunter... You likely have already committed an atrocity or two, by unknowingly cutting up a High Country Special, or former Playmate car or whatever... You give life, to otherwise mundane drivers type projects... Keep at it brother...!!! And remember, when yer taking flak, you are, "over the target" !!!!!!
Some special editions just aren't worth anything extra. Rarity doesn't always mean added value. Sure, it has historical value, and you have stated that previously. Some people are purists and cringe at converting any coupe to a fastback. I think there are some vehicles that need to stay unmolested, but this isn't one of them.
As stated in my comment on the first video it’s his car and he has the right to do with it as he wants. So get the top off that lady before some other whining baby says “if you do it I’m going to unsubscribe”. My dad built his ‘56 T-Bird into a high compression monster and had to run race gas. I guy heard it once as mom and dad pulled into a restaurant in the way into a restaurant in Tulsa on the way to Tulsa Raceway to run it on the 1/4 mile there. A guy said “why would you do that to that car?” Mom told me this is July of ‘69 so 13 months pre my birth dad said, “wait a second” reached into the glove box pulled out the insurance verification and registration then said “ yeah I just checked it’s mine still so I can do whatever I want with it you 🤬”. She never told me the cuss words but dad had only been out of the military a short time after joining in 1957 and based on my second word learned (shit) he had spicy language. The guy didn’t get the point he said. “Sell it to me I will put it back stock” dad said “One million dollars and it’s yours” the guy walked off in a huff. Dad yelled after him an opinion of his own, “since you are so into thinking it’s ok to tell people what to do get a hair cut you 🤬” Dad was done orders/suggestions after he got out of the military. 😂🤣 Cool side story dad was racing at Tulsa Raceway when Mickey Thompson hit the wall in his new Mach 1 drag car and shut down the track due to clean up technology not being the same. Dad super 8 film is on a couple drag car history videos he shared copies with the guys from magazines because it was the Southwest Nationals I believe.
