I never measured them, also this is a small like 12'x20' MAX sized room, so the sound def didnt have room to spread out. but during shows I used them at, fan noise was never a problem.
I'm interested in these lights, but can't seem to find any reviews or much info for specs. Any idea what the pan and tilt ranges are? What about illuminance rating? Trying to compare them to other, similar lights. Appreciate any info you can share. Thanks!
Hi Joel. The Pan range is 540, the tilt is about 180-190ish, they simply don't point down towards their base much. I took my own Lux testing and at 4 meters on the narrowest beam all RGBW color on at full intensity i got a Lux of 5,310. now at 4 meters on the widest zoom level and all RGBW colors at full intensity i got a Lux reading of 670. The zoom range is from 4 degrees to 45 degrees. The absolute BEST thing about these lights is the quality of color mixing, there are 0 individual color shadows at any zoom range and you are able to get really nice beautiful colors out of the color mixing, it has that nice deep blue in it for those great violets and magenta's and pinks etc. I absolutely love these for color mixing and output. I am right now using them as key lighting lead singers on a stage and they do a great job. The pan and tilt speeds are zippy too, they are not slow and sluggish, the zoom motor is decently fast too but you won't be doing any real stupid fast zoom pulses with it, but it is not what i would label as slow either. I hope this helps.
Thank you greatly for that info! Much appreciated. I'm looking at using them for front spots as well, so that helps a lot knowing you're using them similarly. I'd thought about regular spots, but the zoom idea seems to me, to make the light much more usefull. And might make focusing the light on a band member easier from one stage to another. The lux seems to be close to other lights in the the 84 watt rating. At least in the narrower field. The tilt seems a bit limited. How do you orientate these lights? Do you hang them upside down? Or do you find it's not a problem sitting rightside up?
The body of the fixtures themselves has such a small footprint that it wont matter if they are being mounted hung from truss or standing on the floor. I should have some other footage of them on my channel with them mounted on the truss.
Watch the light show i programmed for the Eliminator booth at LDI, you can see the wash zooms on the floor have good range of tilt and the ones up top too. ruclips.net/video/MPgbHtyWE_A/видео.html
Nice light show. I was thinking of sitting the lights on top of the speaker stacks, but not sure they'd tip down far enough. Sounds like they'd work better as spots if they were hung. How would you compare these wash lights to the Stealth Beams, as far as brightness?
The fans sounds quite loud in this video. What sort of decibel level are they at when you have a multiple of them together?
