    Why not resurrect this 242 and drive it to him!!!

    That car is absolutely worth saving! This bertone with the 4 cylinder is a very solid car if you can get it running and driving again! I always wanted one of these cars myself! My grandfather had a 1988 Volvo 240 sedan in white with the blue cloth interior. His was an automatic and he bought it new back in 1988. In the 10 years he owned it he drove 342k with that car. @@DeanofMachines the blue coupe in this video that you resurrected. Any 200 or 700 series Volvo coupe that was made is a Bertone car and those were manufactured in Italy. They also made them with a 6 cylinder engine which was also used in the DeLoreans and a Diesel engine as well. I’m told that the 6 cylinder and the diesel engines were not that great at least not here in the states. But the four-cylinder is always a buy.

    • @DeanofMachines
      @DeanofMachines  Месяц назад

      I thought about that for a bit. I decided it would be better to have the constant suction from the boat tank down to the inline pump.

    • @kilgree
      @kilgree Месяц назад

      Putting it between the pumps has the potential to create an over pressure loop and the only way to remedy it is go full throttle and kill the clicker. If you put it before the clicker, it will only pull what it needs from both sources. We did this on an excavator and it started pushing fuel out of the factory transfer pump because the injection pump couldn’t eat the fuel fast enough unless you were at working the engine hard.
      Also, I am SO jealous you got to eat crawfish! I haven’t had any since I moved from south east texas about 20 years ago.

    Hey Dean, In your capacity as Volvo GURU, I have a question. On the timing belt cover there is a bloody great red sticker with the number 803 on it. What is the 803 about?
    I have asked other experts but got crickets in reply. It's got to mean something or Volvo would not have put it there.
