I Don't know if ill get an answer on this but I've personally written programs long hand on ss-20, and s206-1/2 where on the g300 cycle i found it easier to not include the x value and strictly use the z and t value as i could not see here if you had the cutoff written as a sub program (at the start of the program to establish the tooling pattern stay in a closed loop) or not but my theory that has worked so far is that the g300 will never be commanded without the cutoff in front of the stock at its finish position. So my question would be is would there be a need to include an x value on the start position (g300) command when ideally this would only ever be used when the tool is in the optimal position whether this is running a 1st piece, continuous cycle, or a bar change? Sorry for the long winded question. - Vinny
Vinny, technically you can omit the X on the G300 line altogether as long as you have a good safe cutoff program (9001) in your machine and you call it in every part program.
Your machine is an 206E-II which would lead us to believe you are based in Europe. This may change the way the automatic cutoff is utilized. For further details, you can contact us at info@remsales.com and we would be happy to help you with your Tsugami!
Very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to make this content. :)
