Thanks a lot for posting this video. I think it's not fair from the fans to compare this performance with End of an Era, when Tarja and Marko sang together almost every night and were in perfect harmony. This performance was a gift to the fans. There was no major rehearsal before this performance. A month later they both sang Fantom of the Opera in Finland, and it was many levels better in my opinion. Both of them were already relaxed and not under so much pressure of emotions. This version of the song is closer to the original musical version, even with the prologue. Tarja often uses this arrangement in her concerts. I am glad that the song returned to her repertoire. It is her iconic song. Tarja admitted that we can expect musical collaborations from her and Mark in the future. I'm so glad they reconciled. The chemistry between them is undeniable. Tarja is so charming and full of positive energy and Marko is just being Marko with his Viking charisma.

For me it was amazing because 18 years had passed since Marko performed this song!!! It was unrehearsed and such a gift to the fans. Now they did it again when the tour was in Finland and they sounded better plus they had a sweet conversation onstage. When Marko said he doesn't remember, he admitted on an interview that his drinking and depression back then has left him with holes in his memories so truly he does not remember.
There are a few better versions audio vice... especially from the concert in Savonlinna, Finland. I got to see this live in Finland. It was amazing, the atmosphere was something special. Tarja and Marko are gonna berform together again. By the way, have you seen the original version of the Phantom of the Opera? The musical version?
Marko performed his own set before Tarja so he was warmed up but I think he just can't reach the highest notes anymore (which is fair enough, he still sounds good in the lower register and their voices still sound amazing together). They actually performed this song twice over this past summer, and Marko will be joining Tarja for a couple of shows in South America next year too so there's more to come.

That’s not as fun though. I thought this was a surprise for the audience. If he was performing prior then, the audience already knew he was there.

The recording does`nt make the voices as good as it in real life sounds. Audience recording seldom does, twisted sounds
This totally sucked compared to the 2005 End of Era version. And I think Marco is more talented than Paul McCartney.
