Just straight barbaric thrash \m/ \m/ GREAT THINGS were happening in 1984/1985 (besides me graduating HS) In 1984; Hellhammer changed to Celtic Frost, (loved both bands), In 1984, Bathory had the debut which kicked maximum ass!!, After The "Nuns have no fun" ep , and "Melissa", Mercyful Fate cranked out "Dont break the oath" in 1984. Venom put out their 3rd record "At war with Satan" In 1985, Slayers 2nd record "Hell Awaits" was out , and LAST but CERTAINLY not least .1985.....Lakeshore record exchange stocked 10 copies of a new "Black Metal band from Germany". Ron Stein (the owner) put away a copy for me when I got out of school. (thanx Ron \m/) I'm going to end with this : " The sin of Sodom.....is a sign of EVILLL!!" Or when Our local weekend metal show "Metallic Overdrive " was on, The host/ DJ Warhead's catch phrase was " Gonna play something from this new black metal band from Germany named Sodom... Get ready because this is going to go in you like a hot knife through...BUTTER! " \m/ Man I miss those days.
