@danielfife348 Well, according to Dr. Marvin, he must have felt he had to tell Bob that he was on vacation in case Bob tries calling him there wouldn't be any answer and Dr. Marvin would have had to tell him if he has any problems to go to the emergency room for help and who to contact if he has any questions or needs to talk which was Dr. Harmen explaining to talk to Dr. Harmen until he (Dr. Marvin) returns back from his vacation. However, Bob really was reading the book which I saw in the next scene he was in when he tried calling Dr. Marvin on the phone where maybe there was something he didn't understand that only Dr. Marvin could answer and not Dr. Harmen himself.
@@danielfife348 Yes, Bob decided to depend on Dr. Marvin and not wanting to talk to Dr. Harman especially since at the end of the movie Bob did say how out of all the psychologists he's seen, Dr. Marvin was the one he felt most comfortable with since he was saying things like, "I certainly wasn't ready with Dr. Carswell and felt it wasn't time" and then said to Dr. Marvin, "but with you finally I'm ready."
@afriendofbean this is exactly like this woman 3 hours from me and my wife of where she was too dependent on Heidi to where it was a burden on us and wojld call all hrs of the day , not give us space
