Hi All! I've had to cut out part of the practice track at the end of the video to make sure this video passes RUclips's copyright checks. If you'd like the FULL guitar lesson, it is available on Patreon: www.patreon.com/smellytele. Rather than disputing the copyright claims and risk my channel being shut down, I decided it's more important to keep these videos available for YOU, even if it means lowering the quality on RUclips.
THANK YOU soo much for this video! I was looking for a tutorial for this song and this one is absolutely the most helpful and best explained one for me! Love this song, now I can practice blues - yeey thanks!! 😊
Hey, absolutely love this song, I am going to be playing along, as soon as I finish repainting my $40.00 kijiji strat copy! thanks for posting, and nice playing!!
Thanks for exercising your White Tele, the bare chords are my nemesis with a bum thumb, any thoughts for me. Capo version with cowboy chords may be. Good work as always.
Been a while since I've studied this one, but my hunch is this was primarily out of the minor pentatonic scale and blues scale. It's played out of a couple different chord shapes/positions, but the notes are part of the same scale
@@TheSmellyTele thanks. Is that F# minor pentatonic? I’m a beginner and really like your lesson. Looks like F# Minos pentatonic, position 1 at the 13th fret?
Yeah so the scales will match to the chords. You'll use the F#m pentatonic, Bm pentatonic, and the Dbm pentatonic. They'll be used together with the chords the band or rythym section are playing. The root note for F#m penta scale is played at the 9th fret of the A string for this one
This link might help too! Scroll down to Scale Position 4, and look at the diagram in the middle. It's specific to A minor, but you can use the same scale on the 9th fret to get F#m appliedguitartheory.com/lessons/a-minor-pentatonic-scale/
Welp, I guess ya learn something new every day. I've never taken a music theory course, and I simply assumed C# and Db to be the same note. Sorry for my ignorance! Most of my learning was done "on the job" so if other errors jump out feel free to let me know so I can make future videos better!
This video has to be a joke. Man seriously you don’t have to say every fret. Just play it and explain the lick. You’re like way over explaining and making this video painful
Uh, not a joke. Good news is, you're probably an advanced player and can pick up things by just watching and listening (with little need for explanation). That's an awesome skill that most people do not have, so you're one of the lucky ones 😎👍 Keep playing and have fun! Sorry the video let you down 🙂

yes, capo on the 2nd fret will do the trick. E shape, A shape, and maybe a B7 to avoid the bar chord
@@TheSmellyTele Thanks Tele I will work on both 😵💫 I love CAPOS 🤩
Thank you very much!
What scale is the solo?

Teach me some Pink Floyd
I'll add Pink Floyd to "The List." Keep an eye on the polls. I'll start putting some of their songs in there so you can cast a vote!
Key of F# right?
Isn’t the 5th a C#?
There is no flats in the Key of F# so the V chord cannot be a Db.
SORRY
I IV V
F# B C#
