The Innovative Optical Network and Wireless Network initiative by NTT is a program designed to create evolved networking infrastructure to achieve unprecedented levels of performance, efficiency, and scalability for next generation networking applications such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. These applications represent the cutting edge of networking today, and are testing the limitations of current technologies. NTT IOWN hopes to be the standard these applications will rely on in the future, and adopting essential technologies such as open networking will create an infinitely scalable environment for compute and networking resources.
