We could be great allies but unfortunately US leadership values its relationship with south Asian islamists and Pakistan over a profitable partnership with India The day US leadership awakens it will be the start to one of the greatest economic and military partnership in human history
Yes problem with usa it want to sole power in world but it don't understand being sole power is not even good for them, sole power might eat itself and no one is to protect them , we could be natural partners do don't share border and mindset of usa india is same what is have india need and what India has has usa need, power sharing agreement and Trade sharing agreement could have sloved alot but something I don't they live in USSR era still , still not trusting at all.😅
While we political leaders, high level officers use different terms for military partnership but in the end it's these partnership b/w army boys, jawans, marines & paratroopers that punch the dagger in enemy's ass
how were they able to interact with each other? i doubt that most indian soldiers are that good at conversational english - they are probably not even required to be (I AM NOT SURE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG)... and i seriously doubt that the american soldiers would make any efforts to learn hindi.
We (Americans) were given template cards to learn basic phrases, customs and courtesies in hindi. However, most of the Indian Army, both enlisted and officers, had very good english. We were able to communicate effectively and clearly.
You're wrong by a LONG SHOT especially if you're referring to commissioned Group-A officers (lieutenant & above), they literally have to qualify rigorous & highly-competitive (owing to the volume of applications) academic tests to make it in. Having taken them myself I can tell you these encompass everything under the sun from languages (English+local) to general studies (Polity+history+geography+Quantitative aptitude etc). This is WAY BEYOND conversational english but requires high degree of proficiency. I'm surprised how people are still not aware about India having one of the highest number of english speakers with english having a franca-lingua status.
@@MrY4j haha. I am aware that the officers are required to learn that language and actually can use it well. While I myself didn't go for the defence services, my father did serve for 20+ years. I am aware that India has a large number of English speakers . In the time I got to spend with the jawans , I was able to see that they can read/write the language, and that they probably must have had to take some English tests too. But I also felt that they weren't always that great at it - which is not at all an issue. I was mainly referring to them. These guys know 3-4 languages (mother tongue, local language, English/Hindi) so it's completely fine for them to not know a few of them that well PS: Thank you for choosing to make efforts to get into defence services. And If you did get in, thank you for the service. 🫡 🙂
