You gotta give your dps the chance to do something by supporting them. This Kiri focused too much on dps and not enough on the team. The other support basically had to solo heal
One of the main things I try to do as a Kiriko main is have line of sight with the whole team. Many times this kiriko only focused on the people directly in front of them which is why they probably weren’t aware of how decent the dps’ were playing. Also healing the walls is classic bronze behavior.
i always want to do this, but sometimes it means i'd end up too far back and my heals would take too long traveling to be as effective. how do you deal with this problem? if the team's spread out, do you just move up with the majority of the team and make sure to keep an eye on whoever's not in direct los? or is there some other tip?
@@no_i_dont_want_no_slugsthis may sound like dumb advice, but the answer to your problem is to look around more often. the answer isn't to keep everyone more or less in front of you. the answer is to look around more. you want to be aware of where your teammates are and you want to be frequently checking on them. you want to be aware of (1) if they need support immediately and (2) if they are going to need support in a second. you need to know where people are and how they're doing so you can tp to them with a suzu to save them or some kunai to help them secure a kill they're chasing. but you also need to be close ish to people in order for your healing to reach them sometime before the end of the round. thankfully, Kiriko can teleport through walls and it has a relatively short cool down. you have this ability and you should use it! re: who you should be staying with, my rule of thumb as a support is that, if the team is split up, both groups need a support with them. yes, this can mean supporting a risky flank because (1) the presence of a support greatly increases the chance of success and (2) you are playing the perfect hero to support risky plays because you can easily escape if it goes poorly. but just in general, it's always a good idea for teammates to have a support with them at all times, even/especially when split up.
@@no_i_dont_want_no_slugs imo it unfortunately comes down a lot to game sense. First question i would ask is, what is your team comp like? If your other support is say, an ana who will have full vision of your tank all the time while your dps are diving genjis, you have the option to play closer to the sidelines/frontlines to support your dps and have trust that your ana can more or less handle your tank for you and even support you. If you have a moira too, expect that she will be close to your tank and so you will need to track your further back dps so you can heal when a fight breaks out that your moira cant reach. Kiri in general does decent in the midrange where she isnt frontlining but also not too far that her heals take 8 years to get there. Also important is that she is able to get to highground easily so use that to get a birds eye view as often as possible, since it helps to reduce the tunnel visioning that can happen when youre in the face of the enemy tank. You also have the option to flank for a couple shots then quickly tp back to your midlines to apply pressure on enemies, since a good shot does so much damage that it forces any non-tank to ease pressure on your team until they heal I am personally more sensitive to sound so i pick up audio cues like bullets heading towards my backlines or flankers pretty clearly. If i see bullet tracers heading towards someone behind me, i shift attention to check on them to see if they need help too. Man, as someone who plays a decent chunk of Kiriko, those Kitsunes made me sad. This Kiriko had many great chances and angles for Kitsune, but just dawdled and then used it way too late (or never, in the case of the end of round 1) AND at a bad angle. And also, as someone who plays a decent chunk of Kiriko, I have made errors with map geometry too, or bad suzus, etc. But I would certainly never take a game where I made these egregious errors as an example of "my team is trash I did everything". Also based on the submission text, I expected this Kiriko to actually go dps and not just occasionally hit some kunai that got woven in. Enemy Ramattra flanked more than this Kiriko did lmao (that was such a fantastic moment to discover). I love Emongg's awareness that he ALWAYS seems to notice weird things other players in the match do. A lot of other content creators miss something like that until their chat spams at them.
I think the mystery heroes comment for the other support was for the first half of the game, they did swap a few times (baptiste/moira/brig) but I think that support realized the team wasn't getting healed so they kept trying to balance maximizing healing with trying to keep themselves alive.Totally get that mindset and NOT that support's fault at all they kept having to swap to find a good choice. The kiriko's dps aim is imo kind of impressive for bronze? I'm a gold support player and have seen worse aim in gold (including myself lmao). But the healing is just so poor, I have to imagine that they don't realize you need to aim to heal with her or they just don't actually want to be playing support. the ego do be a little crazy but i think if they prioritize healing + learn better kitsune positioning they'll probably improve pretty fast

Gotta love how they are able to play fine when the cart hasn't pushed past 1st corner yet - but the moment the enemy team actually starts applying the slightest amount of pressure, the Kiriko player just folds over lol. Instant miss on Suzu point blank, uses Kitsune way too late and lets her Bap die in front of her, proceeds to scramble to safety. So to this kiri’s credit, I think they could play silver fine, based on the aim of the kunai’s. But they don’t seem to understand that they can’t heal through walls. And they’re not thinking about their Suzu usage. They also aren’t swapping, I know kiri is on the other team but honestly Anna would have been good in the first half to sleep the ram and deny ults. Not to mention the synergy in nanoblade
nah, shes not providing any value to her team. She isnt healing, shes not getting important fight winning elims, she doesnt use suzu correctly, her ults are useless and her positioning is bot-like. This game would've gone the same way without that kiri in a 4v5.
NanoBlade in anything below Plat is a waste of Nano. It's better used to keep a Tank alive or with an aimbot Ult like Soldier or Cass. NanoBlade will net you one kill, if you're lucky and then that's two ults wasted instead of 1.
It always is. No one is ever held back by teammates. Its always cope bc they ignore the other 50 games where they did nothing of value to win just to blame it on the game where their teammates were bad. And tbh in this game the kiriko had the awareness of an unpeeled peanut, he literally never gave anyone who actually needed healing any heals. At that point hes making it a 4v5 for the rest of his team.
This kiriko could be gold if only they had better positioning, better awareness, more mechanical skill, cooldown usage, ult usage, gamesense, target focus, and accuracy. That is all.
one thing worth adding with the kiriko bug going on right now be careful about tp'ing too close to cart as you might tp backwards onto cart and potentially waste the cooldown. so make sure if you are pushing the cart as kiri that you get away from it before you tp. hopefully blizzard fixes this bug.
As a former Gold Kiriko player this man is tweaking insanely because his Ult usage was abysmal fr, the healing the walls is fine because Kiriko’s papers are a bitch to aim on moving targets but ulting a point blank wall and waiting half a team fight at the end of the game to ult sideways on a narrow pathway are crazy Ls that probably did more harm than anything the rest of his team did. Ion like to criticize cuz I’m only like 150ish hours into the game but bro belongs in B5 where I’m hardstuck fucking around as Tank because there’s less Mei/Sym in comp than QP
Look I’m gold on kiriko and although I don’t throw my kitsune into walls very often, and suzu basically full health targets and leave the other support to fend for themselves after they’ve been getting rolled… this is basically what it looks like when I play. Crazy how little mistakes like that are the difference between 2-3 ranks, my kunai aim isn’t much better than theirs, it just feels weird.
The reason is precisely the kitsune and suzu (not to mention you probably actually heal targets properly). Its a way bigger difference than you think, since kitsune alone is able to change the tide of a fight. Using 1-2 kitsunes in an okay way (unlike this guy who uses it when a fight is already over) is enough to secure those 2 fights. If you also DONT waste heals on the walls like this guy, you likely are building way more kitsunes than them and way faster too. In the larger scheme of things winning 1-2 fights is the difference between defending a point/pushing past one = better odds of winning & ranking. Its the reason why theres such a huge discrepancy in divisions. You dont necessarily need aim in OW either, as gamesense will take you further than aim.
Players like this is because I turned off teamchat(voice chat on), keyboard warriors and even If someone explains why they are wrong(when they are wrong, not saying they are always wrong) they will still say the same thing. Also helped me to just say in my mind 'gg go next' (don't stop trying to win) when I think some teammates are really underperforming. Because dosen't matter if you have one bad teammate in some games, if you really play better than them you will climb and they don't.
As a gold support, dps, and silver tank. I'd crush anyone on that team using a handful of the heroes I'm not great with. The difference between gold and bronze is massive.
I think a lot of people in bronze hold their ults to counter other ults instead of proactively using it to give your team the advantage. This is shown on that team fight at the beginning during round one where on ult got popped and then 2-3 more got popped after that. Even if you lose the team fight, your ult still got value because your team has the ult advantage. This person doesn’t even have an understanding of the basic fundamentals of the game.
I don't care if they're good or not, cuz I'm typing this comment before I see the video. I already dislike them just from reading their intro to the game.
I try to lock onto my teammates, heal the full amount, before I move my cursor off them. This guy just swings his camera around and hopes his crosshair goes over someone.
i mean, it seems they don’t even realize kiriko can’t heal through walls and have no concept of support’s general positioning guidelines. bronze 1 at best. if they played the hero properly it would’ve been more helpful but i still wished they’d swap so many times.
They posted their POTG in chat and I bet they were like “OHHH YEAH I POPPED OFF NOT YOU GUYS HAHA TRASH” In reality if this person got POTG, this team had to be SO bad, and so HORRIBLE that they got POTG 😭
Kiriko: "I belong in Gold or higher." All I'm thinking is "No, you're actually holding your Bronze team back, dude..." The people saying that he could make silver, haven't seen a silver game in a while. This dude is Bronze through and through.
The amount of healing the walls got in this match was crazy. "I cant fathom what i could have done differently." Well, theres your problem. If you watch your own replays and think theres no mistakes, you're delusional.
Its crazy to me when people complain about not getting healed when this is what i start doing and we lose the game because of it and they still complain about healing lmao
honestly they play kiriko like me but worse in every way, and I'm gold. I'm going to guess they'll stay bronze for now just like I'll stay stuck in gold 3
yeah, can't fathom what I could have done better!!!! -_- This Kiriko has no Brain and no awareness of HOW BAD SHE IS!!! Good thing i don't have to put up with those low ranks anymore!
I'll never understand the low rank support players cause they are either heal botting and don't know how to play the character or they wannabe DPS players that feed or they know how to play the character but don't use their ult at all💀bronze and silver supports are always a mystery
as a gold 2 support..... don't let this kiri into my rank, please. so much wasted healing, every ult wasted, and absolutely no situational awareness, ESPECIALLY for teammates.
I see so many healers just hold the healing button without processing what's on their screen. Especially pains me with Moira. Everyone is full hp, why are you pissing all your heals? Dmg and tanks also, beat that healing button like a dick without a single braincell there to understand that healers are dead or out of LOS. 404 consciousness not found
I will say. when you're waiting on just a little health for regen before throwing more knives, if you're not super close to a health pack, ducking behind cover and pre-healing anything your team might take is perfectly acceptable. he ragged on it at the start but I understand what the kiriko was going for. he just did it wrong since the enemy still had an LOS on him Everything else in the video? pretty shit
This Kiriko was: doing too much dps without healing their tank and dps letting them die, healing walls, saving their kitsunes for OW3 and the moment where they use it is when their Dva gets demeched. This is just a classic Kiriko main´s inflated ago
No one stuck in bronze 5 deserves anything higher than b5. Getting B5 is an art form, that's not just bronze its basically bottom 500. You're playing the game fundamentally wrong if you're stuck in b5.
Got an account to bronze 5, took very long throwing every game. People are so bad you gotta afk or you might accidentally win, I play with my mate and we like to just fuck around and spawncamp people, farm reactions etc
That's all well and good. But I mean, what does a vod really show? That's right, nothing special. Now the screenshots this person took, now THAT's where the real stuff we need to see is.
Sooo kunai aim was fine. CD usage bad, ult usage, ofuda aim and awareness about the teammates abysmal. Would love to see the scoreboard on this one. Bet the other support completely outclassed this Kiriko...

-team fight?
okay pop kitsune
17:30 I think he was still down 2 as Brig just respawn.
I, a president of the Moira council, approve of this playstyle as well as this ego.
Bro heals air
this guy only healed their mates when they were full life I feel like
yea, pretty much every support below plat
aidenbover here blaming his support for being hardstuck in low elo
@@cooltwittertag i’m a top 500 support
well i peaked like ranked 220 this season, most of the player base sucks at the game anyway not just supports
@@aidenmontgomery9205 top 500? That's low man I'm over here at top -0 I passed the best players and became the ultimate overwatch player
All powerful Fox Spirit... can't handle walls.
Emongg is RAZZING today
4:13 i felt that tp
Right on time for the Emongg upload 😎
Loving your videos, liked and subbed! Can’t believe I never found your content until today. I love bronze gameplay 😂
Torb turned into a Dachsund. Lmao
Peeking a Hanzo in general is wild.
Ah the good old ego vod
I think a lot of people in bronze hold their ults to counter other ults instead of proactively using it to give your team the advantage. This is shown on that team fight at the beginning during round one where on ult got popped and then 2-3 more got popped after that. Even if you lose the team fight, your ult still got value because your team has the ult advantage. This person doesn’t even have an understanding of the basic fundamentals of the game.
Bronze lucios always get beat fast. Because they only heal, never use speed and the team always play together like a fish shoal
When the support think they are the shit, but did a Facebook and just skipped the the.
Emongg said he not here for the ego
Ah the classic "We lost and it's everyone else's fault except mine, because I'm clearly the best."
seemed like a team diff but this guy made it an ego diff by not healing his team on the second round
I don't care if they're good or not, cuz I'm typing this comment before I see the video. I already dislike them just from reading their intro to the game.
I try to lock onto my teammates, heal the full amount, before I move my cursor off them. This guy just swings his camera around and hopes his crosshair goes over someone.
emong is in the LTG arch
i mean, it seems they don’t even realize kiriko can’t heal through walls and have no concept of support’s general positioning guidelines. bronze 1 at best. if they played the hero properly it would’ve been more helpful but i still wished they’d swap so many times.
They posted their POTG in chat and I bet they were like “OHHH YEAH I POPPED OFF NOT YOU GUYS HAHA TRASH”
In reality if this person got POTG, this team had to be SO bad, and so HORRIBLE that they got POTG 😭
Kiriko: "I belong in Gold or higher."
All I'm thinking is "No, you're actually holding your Bronze team back, dude..."
The people saying that he could make silver, haven't seen a silver game in a while. This dude is Bronze through and through.
Salty Emongg is fun 🤣 Not mean just salty.
Not breaking ults and using abilities at random. The bronze 5 special.
4:50 Walking in a straight line at a Hanzo!? I guess it's a good thing he's bronze 5 lol
my cheeks were clenching so hard at that moment lmao, was like "no no no no no what are you doing noo move aside don't just walk into him stooop"
If this person was in my gold games I would report them for greifing.
im gonna be honest as a kiri in gold/plat, i dont ult track for suzu
Even in just gold this guy would've been eaten alive so badly they'd quit forever
And because he's healing the map most of the time, the teammates also gets eaten.
You know when someone says “I deserve gold” you’re about to see the bronzest shit ever
Emongg tried his best to be nice😭😂 but like mannn what game was that guy playing cause it wasn’t what he described😭😭
This person does not belong in bronze5 he belongs in paper5
you can tell its a bronze game just from the length of the names alone
The amount of healing the walls got in this match was crazy.
"I cant fathom what i could have done differently."
Well, theres your problem. If you watch your own replays and think theres no mistakes, you're delusional.
Its crazy to me when people complain about not getting healed when this is what i start doing and we lose the game because of it and they still complain about healing lmao
chat is this real
The suzus are so funny
The one thing I don't like is when people focus so much on others gameplay that their own gameplay starts to become terrible.
TBH, genji is not the pick against a ram, mei, hanzo, moira, and kari
"genji can't make plays into this comp because they have a moira, mei, kiri..." well then he should get off genji, right?
His rank: Rock 😂
honestly they play kiriko like me but worse in every way, and I'm gold.
He was playing with necros and still lost
I'll never understand the low rank support players cause they are either heal botting and don't know how to play the character or they wannabe DPS players that feed or they know how to play the character but don't use their ult at all💀bronze and silver supports are always a mystery
as a gold 2 support..... don't let this kiri into my rank, please. so much wasted healing, every ult wasted, and absolutely no situational awareness, ESPECIALLY for teammates.
no 💀
bro deserves toilet paper 3
I see so many healers just hold the healing button without processing what's on their screen. Especially pains me with Moira. Everyone is full hp, why are you pissing all your heals? Dmg and tanks also, beat that healing button like a dick without a single braincell there to understand that healers are dead or out of LOS. 404 consciousness not found
I will say. when you're waiting on just a little health for regen before throwing more knives, if you're not super close to a health pack, ducking behind cover and pre-healing anything your team might take is perfectly acceptable.
he ragged on it at the start but I understand what the kiriko was going for. he just did it wrong since the enemy still had an LOS on him
Everything else in the video? pretty shit
Sometimes look what you did before complaining
This Kiriko was: doing too much dps without healing their tank and dps letting them die, healing walls, saving their kitsunes for OW3 and the moment where they use it is when their Dva gets demeched. This is just a classic Kiriko main´s inflated ago
No one stuck in bronze 5 deserves anything higher than b5. Getting B5 is an art form, that's not just bronze its basically bottom 500. You're playing the game fundamentally wrong if you're stuck in b5.
Got an account to bronze 5, took very long throwing every game.
People are so bad you gotta afk or you might accidentally win, I play with my mate and we like to just fuck around and spawncamp people, farm reactions etc
or you know... the openly known bug where it sticks people in Bronze 5.
@@CarolineContradiction the bug thst was fixed in season 1???
@@cooltwittertagit’s not fixed

That's all well and good. But I mean, what does a vod really show? That's right, nothing special. Now the screenshots this person took, now THAT's where the real stuff we need to see is.
Sooo kunai aim was fine.
CD usage bad, ult usage, ofuda aim and awareness about the teammates abysmal. Would love to see the scoreboard on this one. Bet the other support completely outclassed this Kiriko...
This kiriko deserves toilet 5, what are these heals and rushes...
This is quite literally the least impactful player i have ever seen in the game
@@cooltwittertagyeah I won’t pretend I’m an amazing support main but I’m soothed by this kiriko existing
