Things get even crazier in part II of this abandoned flea market, I find many more items left behind as well as one vendor's booth that was completely untouched!!
On Tuesday April 20, 2021, the owner of 747 Flea Market James Hawley announced the impending closure (to his vendors) of the space that had been in continuous operation for over 30 years! The Rathcliffe Group who owns the building and land was forced to evict the owner and its vendors after they were either paying partial or no rent at all (during lockdowns) for over a year. Hawley said that neither the market or it's vendors were able to qualify for the Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy (CERS) which was a government program to help businesses pay their rent if they had seen a drop in revenue during "the situation". “Our tenants don’t qualify because they do not have written leases” and they pay on a month-to-month basis, Hawley said. Hawley also criticized the program for not having an appeal process when a business was denied inclusion. A lot of vendors showed up to the building shortly after the announcement was made but were told they would not be allowed to enter until the entirety of that month's rent was paid. After the April 20th announcement, the vendors only received until the end of the month to pay their rent and collect their belongings. Apparently, according to comments, the buildings were in rough condition, with leaking rooves, general uncleanliness as well as lacking proper maintenance, these conditions were evident during my visit.
The building has since been demolished during the months of June/July but no formal plan has yet been submitted to the city as to what will go in its place. The owners have mentioned that they would like to build a warehouse which is less prone to income rental loss due to closures. There are rumours that Amazon may be interested in the property for use as another fulfillment centre, or another company may move in and use the site as a storage warehouse.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this abandoned flea market and to be quite honest, I haven't had this much fun exploring a location in quite a while. With so much merchandise left behind by various vendors there was so much to see!

Such a great explore! It was fun to watch and I could tell you were having a great time!
Thank you very much!!
747 Flea Market was closed recently, and as somebody that grew up near that area, I have very fond memories of the flea market. There used to be an ice-cream truck outside, always parked, hotdog stand and I believe a corn stand as well. Lots of pirated/counterfit items here as well haha. Matter of time till it becomes a warehouse, or some other (possibly enterprise) building. Need to visit ASAP!
Oh yes, flea markets are full of counterfeit goods. 😂 This one is long gone already and I think they tore it down to build a new warehouse or something. Thank you very much for the comment!!
I like your videos. You don't rush. You take your time recording unlike some people.
Thank you, glad you are enjoying them! Thanks for the comment as well!
Congrats on the 1K, you totally deserve it! Here’s to continued success! (Also, been loving everything you film)
Thanks a lot! It took a while to get there but now it finally feels like it's starting to pay off!

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!!
Just found you tonight scrolling. This place would be a pickers dream..especially for a thrift store. We don't have markets here in NB. New subscriber here! :)
Glad you enjoyed the video enough to subscribe! You must have at least one flea market in New Brunswick!? I really like that province by the way and thanks for the comment!!
Made the time to watch. Yay. You were legit having fun in this one for sure. Them mannequins. Them nude baby photos were cute. I hope they were professional photos done for a family and NOT for sale. That physics room was amazing. Gotta a strange presence of weird. Another great video. The ending hilarious.
P.S. Noah gave a shout out of you on his latest video
Thanks a lot for watching Kimmy, glad you enjoyed it!! Ya, that psychics booth was unreal, still can't believe it was completely untouched, definitely the highlight of the location for me! Those naked baby photos really creeped me out but i had to include them in the video!
Ya i saw that, i went and thanked Noah for that!!
To be honest if I was in that place, I would happily take some few stuff with me ...so much stuff there going to waste....great video tho #staticspaces
Not the best idea to do that sort of thing, it's still stealing because someone still owns the property.
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it!!
The demolition company have strict guide lines . I would say those vendors had a ‘time frame’ to gather there products .
Most of that junk was just that JUNK , not worth the time or effort to recover it .
Yes, that's it the leftovers were mostly cheaply mass produced items you can find at most dollar stores. Thanks for the comment!!
You: Walks into a fully set up Phychics area.. Wooow..
Psychic:
Well, I didn't see that coming..😂👍
Just a shame to see all that stuff left behind..
🤷♂️Oh well..
Thanks for the explore..
Psychic: Well i didn't see that coming.

Love your videos thanks
Thank you very much Shirley!!
Funny thing is all that will end up in the dump but they would probably jail you if they caught you taking any of it.
Thanks for the comment!!
New sub! You can thank Noah for that 😊
Awesome, thanks a lot!!
People should just be allowed to take stuff since it's all going to landfill otherwise
I see your point and it's a valid one. The problem with allowing people in to do that is due to liability reasons for the owner and that's why they don't generally allow it. Thanks for the comment!!
I stopped watching right after the palm readers booth. I got disgusted when I saw that
beautiful organ just sitting outside in water and going to be demolished with all the
other good useable merchandise. The video was a little lengthy for me but watched
all of part one. Still found it very interesting.
What made you stop watching after the palm reader booth? That was the best part of the location. Yes it was a long video but there was just so much to see. I'm sure if i were releasing it now i likely would have cut it down even more. Thanks for the comment!!
what a waste that stuff could have been donated or re sold
I guess but to be completely honest, most of it was just junk. It was all items you could find on ebay for next to nothing or even the dollar store. The stuff like the display cabinets were still usable and probably had some value though!
@@StaticSpaces Agreed. you want find none this Ebay,And you definitely ain't going find it on Amazon.
Facts,I hated went I see Abandoned vlogs in people leave stuff behind. It can be give to a donation center.
Least in pt2 you have a slink in one food court diner..But the other didn't have a sink. How did they wash their hands went pep food and cooking..Not a place want go eat at went going to the Flea Market 😫🤢🤮
Yes, i found it a little concerning too!
