I skipped this box, so living vicariously through you 💙🩵 Their wax melts smell so good! Those lil affirmation soaps are too cute! The shell chime, although beautiful, isn’t my jam but unique non the less. The notebook is very vibrant! Nice box! Yay so happy it helped you remember 🥰 💜
I can see how cocoa is the food of the gods!! It’s so delicious. Loved learning a little witchy culture history behind the cocoa. Thanks for sharing my beautiful sister! 💜 my fave was the journal and lil soaps.

I actually like the mobile/windchime made from shells. 🐚 I can’t believe no one stole anything from your box 📦 on the long distance journey.

They should have taped that! Also, there should have been a bag on it listing its items if it is from the UK. I appreciate the word ritual. I like the pebble soap :-). Oh, I love that book. You knew I'd love love love the book!!!! Great video!!!

Weird that it wasn’t sealed, isn’t it in a wrapping bag too? Hmm. Good that nothing is missing! 🍀🖤
I have some questions or thoughts about smudging/smoking/burning stuff on charcoal in my head. And it’s not easy to explain myself through writing and also English is not my fist language, sooooo …. 😅 1. other native people or cultures used to and still smudge/smoke/burn herbs, wood and resin. So is the word smudge in America only used by native Americans? What is or would be the word for others for that? 2. Celts and Germanic tribes smoked and burned a lot of herbs, so it would be native to most European countries. Maybe smudging in England is a word for that too? (I don’t know, I just have these thoughts in my head). 3. In the german language it is called „räuchern“ and it comes from „Rauch“ which is smoke. So I always want to say smoking herbs etc. but it sounds like smoking a cigarette. I’m really unsure, what I should call the process of putting herbs on a charcoal disk and enjoy the smoke in english. 😅 This is so interesting. In Germany I am native so I have no experience how it is, when settlers take over your land. And therefore native people claim things/words that belong to their culture and don’t like it when other people use it I guess. The other perspective could be that people appreciate other cultures and include things in their rituals or mondane life. Sorry, I have so many thoughts, but it is not easy to write them all down. Sorry for writing so much. 💚🖤🍀

I just learned that in Ireland and Scotland they say saining when they smoke smudge. It’s like blessing and protection. 🖤

Halito my beautiful friend! I appreciate this comment so much. I should probably do a clarifying video about this but I also want to give you the time as well. So smudging is actually an English word so it's not "wrong" to use it. The word for the most part was not used in other parts of the world for the particular act of cleansing with smoke (even though almost all cultures do so) and after colonization the Native population here have used it for the sacred practice of cleansing with smoke. The Americas consists of thousands of Native tribes all with different languages, many of the languages have been lost, so it is a common word that Natives in the USA and Canada can use together to define "Smoke Cleansing". Because so many of our practices were illegal for so many years there is a high sensitivity to "outsiders" using Native practices and words. When things are globalized they can lose their meaning and become less meaningful. Proper smudging has a very particular ceremony, done by particular people and varies from tribe to tribe. Another big reason for the conflict is that White sage, one of the most common "smudge stick" ingredients, is a sacred "medicine" often used by the south western tribes in the parts of the USA and it has become endangered by people who use it as if it was just an incense. Native people are worried that it will become extinct and they will not be able to use it in their sacred ceremonies. This is also the case with Palo Santo. Palo Santo means "holy stick". Long story short 😆You asking the questions is exactly what we want people to do, to think before just doing things, find alternatives or study the practice. Having more people educated about our practices keeps the culture thriving. We love to share but in the hopes that people will use the practices as intended and with respect. Thank you SO much for questioning and having this conversation. So using "smudging" should be used for in Native practice and Smoke cleansing or Cleansing with smoke can be used as an alternate name for whatever practice someone chooses. ❤🧡💛💜 Yakoke (Thank you, in choctaw).

@@alisiawitchcrafter Thank you so much for your answer. Not only would I love to watch a video about that but I would like to talk with you about that too. Maybe there is a time we could do that. It’s all so interesting and I get why natives claim this word in US and Canada. Alisia, have a wonderful day! 🖤🍀
