Fun Star Wars FACT:
Chubo Kuay was part of the Jedi Order during the Old Republic (he lived to sit alongside Yoda on the Council during the Clone Wars).
He originally was enslaved by the branch of Gungan culture called the Kori-Gun-Go, which, aside from being part of the Spice trade in those days, were very very hostile and hateful to Kuay's species, the Bor'Konga, or Kor'Bonga, depending on which comic run you read.
He fought back and eventually overthrew the Kori-Gun-Go, and freed most of his people, but many were sadly just too scattered for him to bring them back together, so the society kind of ended there and they became seperated across the galaxy, but that part doesn't really get expanded on in either run.
After that he meets with members of the Jedi Order in the Donjharus system, where they unite, become friends, however you call it. He joins the Jedi and fights with them for hundreds of years. They're most impressed by his good nature and his honor than his speed, or strength, but they were also stricken with his incredibly appealing musculature (he was quite the heart-throb, no matter who you were. that being said- Jedi attatchment laws, so he didn't get lucky).
A lot of his life between this time and the Clone Wars isn't elaborated on unfortunately. Chubo did fight with Plo Koon for a few years.
He was well known to Yoda at this time, they were good friends. They would often crack open a cold blue-milk when they had a good day.
Chubo Kuay was one of the many Jedi that Anakin failed to kill.

Fun Fact: Chubo Kuay almost stopped Anakin from cutting Mace Windu's hand off but he fell on Palpatine's chair. He could have save the jedi order.
