Ture 🤣, but mine is tame in comparison to most of the guys I competed with last year. Some guys have 2 graphs, 2 motors, and multiple batteries to run it all. But I am guilty of taking way more than I need.
I just bought myself a Topwater PDL 120 and your video gave me some great ideas. I take a lot of gear myself so it’s good to see how other people that are like me are organizing their kayak 😂 I especially like what you did with your measuring board.
Glad to help. I have actually updated the way I store the measuring board. It's still in the same spot but I am using a product from YakGadget now, and I really like it. It's an always evolving system with the kayak organization 😂
Congratulations! I never had a kayak or in any tournaments. Getting 1 soon and I want to do tournaments too! you video is invaluable . . .thank you and GL! Tight Lines man
I'm in my 4th season. I love my Oldtown 120 PDL. I also purchased my truck last year. I ended up buying my 21' Nissan Pro 4x. These top Kayaks, best thing you can do. I did purchase a $400 Harbor freight trailer, which is plug and play to my truck. I currently run the J2-PP 768 Bixpy right now. Next year I may purchase my XI3. And I'll obviously only have one, for tournaments. But they're definitely turned into a one man fishing vessel. A motor will change your fishing. I like to get away from everyone, and just be able to cover water. Awesome setup my friend. Have a good season. 🛶 🎣 🌊
The motor is definitely coming, just probably not this year. Would love to be able to cover more water. These are great kayaks though, never for one minute have I regretted purchasing it! Thanks for checking out the video!
@@DoubleBogeyBass I hear ya I took my time. Fished off the bank, and off my dad's boat all my life. I learned to kayak fish first. Then motorized her. You'll appreciate it though. 💯 🛶 🎣
Great set up. Nine rods is not enough. If I were to start kayak fishing, I would probably need a tow boat roped off my stern to be like a pack mule carrying the extra stuff. 2024 is the year, bud! Top 10s!
Nice to have you back! Happy New Year to you and your family 🎊✨ Thank you for showing your awesome Kayak, very well equipped! Wish good luck for your next adventure
I really liked this video and found it helpful for ideas for setting up my pdl 106. I took it to camp far west lake recently and I am a big fan of the pedal drive, but can see how a motor would be nice for long stretches.
Thank you Joshua! It is a great kayak, I have the 106 as well as the 120, and they are both awesome.. And you're right, being able to cover more water with a motor is the drawing power to get one 😂. I am sure I will upgrade at some point.
Love the kayak setup can’t wait to get my floating barge in action as well, did you see yak attack has an extension box to put on top of your crate now? Right Lines brother take care God bless!!!
Thank you! I do know about the short stack, but before I had the black pack I used the flambeau tuff crate with the top box, which is basically the same thing as the short stack, and I did not like the fact that I had to move the 2 rods that I have on the rear of the box just to open it. It will be the same issue with the short stack. I have just mounted two track packs on top for extra storage and we will see how that goes.
Great set up and walk through Jeremy. Look forward to seeing you out there. Don't get a motor - you catch too many fish without it and it might mess with your mojo🤣
Hi Jeremy! I did the under seat storage and it turned out really nice. That was a great concept you came up with. I saw a couple of other thiings I'm thinking about trying and I wanted to ask you about. How well does the Kayak Kushion work? Does it make a huge difference in your comfort on the seat? How well do you like the kushion bar for your lower back? The other thing I wanted as ask about is the little metal rings that you have connected to the storage where did you get those. I notice you have them screwed in to the rubber netting on the side and then you attached other metal clips to them and then you have your pliers attached to the little coiled cable. Where can I get those along with the coiled cables that you attached to your pliers? Thank you Jeremy.
The Kayak Kusion is a must, the Kush Bar I’m not a 100% sure it makes much of a difference but I do recommend the 2 on the seat and the back! As far as the metal rings they are just key rings, I think, and the leashes come with the pliers and scissors. As far as what I’ve added on the webbing it’s spare parts you can get for the kayak. It’s the same thing that holds the bungees on the back tank well. If you watch my Pros and Cons video and skip to the walkthrough of the kayak I go over it there.
@@DoubleBogeyBass Thank you for your response. I think I'll order the seat cushions. I'll look at the pros and cons video again. I thought I remember you saying that you got those from the webbing in the back well. I didn't see any of those on my bungee cords in the back that's why I was wondering if I misunderstood. Fyi, my friend saw the under seat storage and he ordered himself a oil pan. Thank you again. 😊
Nice setup! A tip for ya add a plug for the drive hole. Main reason is to keep from losing anything while you're trailering. I made one for my yak out of a cutting board I got at Walmart. Stuff gets to bouncing around while you're going down the road.
I have one of those from Navarre kayak, I rarely use it, although never thought of using it for transport. I don’t leave much in my kayak when I travel though, but it’s a good idea I may have to implement.
Was about to order the rod rest thanks for the info may have to make my own. Great setup! Where did you get that bow mount rope from i like the handle on that.
The bow mount rope is a combination of 2 things, the handle is from a company called Rouge, that also make phone tethers, and a dock bungee that I got on amazon. I can leave a link to the amazon below but you'd have to go to Rouge's site for the handle. amzn.to/43ytIla
They are separate. I have one on the back, one on the seat, and the lumbar support is a separate piece as well. They are from a company called Kayak Kushion (cushion with a K).
I added truck racks on to the trailer for when I want to take multiple kayaks , but the cross bars can be removed. So when I go solo I like to not have to deal with the crossbars when I am loading and unloading my kayak on the trailer.
I do not travel with them in the kayak. I put them on the passenger side of my truck. Did that with my car too and it worked. I have several over 7 foot.
@@BookmanBassin it’s a plate from Navarre Kayak that screws into the shallow anchor mount on the kayak, then I just screwed a piece of yakattack tract to the plate.
Did you have to do anything to fit the rod holders on both sides? Just got a pdl 120 and looking to get the black pack 16x16. But saw somewhere that it wouldn’t fit with rod holders on both sides. Looks like it fits okay though?
I have no issues, I have 3 on each side. Maybe it doesn't fit with 4 on each? I don't know, I haven't tried that, but have no issues with how I have it set up now.
I just Purchased the same kayak from Kayak CITY. 9/24/2024. Starting to set it up. Guys at Kayak City. Are Kool people will be buying another kayak from them.

Are the seat cushions a "one piece" (back and seat) or are those two separate cushions? Who is the manufacturer?
They are separate. I have one on the back, one on the seat, and the lumbar support is a separate piece as well. They are from a company called Kayak Kushion (cushion with a K).
