Very cool way to teach history. Going to share this with my US history class as we learn about the Underground Railroad. It is great for them to see that history is not something just to read about but to actually be able to experience today. Thank you.
That’s amazing you are a angel, that shows that the love for his people from 150 odd years ago still is on his mind to take a trip in there exact route.Just as they would have done.
Did you ever get your photos and video back? I’m so sorry your bike and all of the footage was stolen. Thank you for sharing your story of this journey.
Greetings Fellow Cyclist: I'm planning on doing a section or two of the Underground Railroad route this year. Can't go to Canada since border is closed. A rich history of the experience is there. Blue Bike, a Miyata 1000 is 41 years old and still tours well. Maybe see you out there?
Already interesting. I did long distance bicycle rides... u got me beat by a long shot... a police officer hit me on a busy highway and messed up my legs n hips. So hope ur still at it... I was going from Tennessee to Wisconsin... the officer paid for a bus ticket and medical care...then sent me a mint 1954 schwinn... he was chasing a guy on o pursuit be careful bro...
