- Scientists predict that plastic in the ocean will eventually outweigh fish in the ocean. But how many of those plastics are ending up in our seafood, and where are they coming from? In the Pacific Northwest, new research is helping to answer those questions.
"We need to know where these fibers are coming from."
Umm, modern human civilization perhaps? ..Just a guess.
I’m glad many places ban micro beads
I give up. There's obviously no way to clean the microplastics out of the ocean.
not yet.. maybe some inventor will perfect removal of microplastics...
one guy demonstrated adding magnetic chems to a beaker of water with microplastics suspended
in the water... the chems adhered to the bits.. he lowered a magnet into the beaker.. pulled it out... all plastic came out with the magnet... water clear..
somebody needs to refine the process... devise a separator for the captured gunk... repro the chems...
breakdown the captured plaswaste..
scale up a system to proportions that can treat 4 or 5% of the ocean (there is only one ocean) per year..
say a line of factory ships working the Pacific area of the 'ocean' ditto the Atlantic portion etc
first we have to defund the 'fed'..no silly , not the U S Federal government.. the fed res bank corp.. who print all dollars and criminally loan the bux to government .. for t bonds.. that you n i are required to pay with income tax payments !!!!!!!
Which seafood doesn't have plastics?!?!
none
Manfists Not true. Fish should not have any amount of micro-plastics if you are not eating the organs. Also deveined shrimp are significantly lower in plastic
us of course, this is crazy how can we just do this more people need to know.
We have reached it for a long time we have been saying that there is a point when we can't go back i think this is it i am just so disappointed.
that sucks ... but better to know than not IMHO
Maybe just use natural material to make clothes....
