I love this, I am really happy for you even though I am 3 years late lol .The Lord will do it! I am going into my Dietetics Program next summer 2021. I am trying to get my brain in CDR exam mode now.
I was literally holding my chest during the RD exam when I pressed the submit button. So stressful but passed. I can only imagine what the diabetes educator exam is like when I take that next year
Girl! Those foodservice questions be getting me. Thanks for this video btw. I get done at the end of May and just started studying. I'm so nervous!! lol
woohoo! I was hoping you had a tips video for the exam... Definitely using these tips. I have Jean Inman right now... but I was considering getting Visual Veggies too. Have you heard anything about VV? Also, I'm really glad you talked about learning to relax. I tend to be VERY high strung (*cough*, especially recently since I've been in my internship), but I know to do well on the exam I need to just take a chill pill! LOVE your videos girl. Going to add them all to my watch list. :)
Hey Dark Blue! I have never heard about VV honestly. You are the first person I am hearing this from. Yap relaxation is the key. Wishing you the best in your internship :)
What exactly is this book, where can I order one (or the newest one)? Your video was so helpful, thank you so much for sharing. Congratulations also :)
This is good to hear! I have not met many people who have worked while studying! I am graduating internship this week and and starting my clinical position at the end of the month. Did you work FT? Also, how many hours per week did you study?
Greeting Kim Rose Dietitian, you are so encouraging. I’ve been in deep studying, so now I’m binge watching all your videos on my winter break. I have not applied for the coordinated program because I am still taking some prerequisite courses. I am so nervous. I really want to achieve this field of study and help others. I have a few questions concerning the major. 1.) Do you think it is a good idea to jump the gun and purchase my RD’s exam study guide packet? I feel like I should study before being accepted into the program because the exam is a bit intimidating. Only one student in my entire Family Consumer Science department has passed the exam. He’s my teacher now. I need to be the second person to pass this test. 2.) What study methods did you use to study? 3.) Since the test covers the 4 domains of the field, I assume that the questions change. Therefore, the questions may be worded differently since the last time you have taken it. Do you think studying the old exam questions will help me prepare for the exam? 4.) My GPA is not the only way to be accepted into the program, do you think volunteering at my local nutrition center will help? 5.) How heavily is math involved in nutrition?
Hi. 1.) I did; I had my RD exam book for 2 years but did not take a look at it until I was prepping for my exam because I was so busy. 2.) Flash cards. I don’t study well in a group- never did. 3.) hmmm.... good question. I say if you have the opportunity in my opinion why not. It will also enable you to gage the content seeing the wording may be different. 4). Yes gaining some experience helps in my opinion 5.) I don’t know how to answer this question. I cannot give you a percentage. There are calculations with tube feeds and parenteral nutrition and calculating macronutrient needs. No need to fear , I’m not a fan of math myself. Never thought I would be a clinical RD, the math is doable.
Ive been volunteering at a senior program and so many people came up to me this week like hey my friend or my daughter is a dietitian , here's their number😊🙏 so grateful. I'm in my second year though so I'm not sure what i should say when i call these random people.
Kim Rose Dietitian I actually moved it to Friday! After I watched this amazing, inspiring video of yours I decided to watch a few more by others to get even more tips and the next one was NOT helpful for me at all. Scared me so much! I got paranoid and moved it lol. But I've watched yours again and now I feel more ready again. And worst case scenario, I retake it! Not the end of the world lol.
Thank you for this video😊 I also wanted to know how many chances do you get to take the exam. Nursing you get 2 chances a year, exam shuts off as soon as you get enough points.
Please don't ever feel that you are not ready for this exam, don't underestimate yourself!
Thanks, kim!

Lol....hey Antonia!! Yap that foodservice is no joke. Good luck on finishing the internship and studying. When do you plan to take the exam?
I plan on taking it sometime in late July/early August

How to take this RD exam book guide? I"m not from here and I don't know how to take it.

That is wonderful news!!
Hi! 145 questions the max on the RD exam.
How do i get a book like this. Im in Nigeria. My exam is in 3 or 4 months
Hi, did you studied out of the USA? how did you get a RD if you studied in another country?
I'm sooo nervous!! Graduation is next month!
Woot woot! You made it!
I start my internship in August. Should I get the RD exam book now?
First things first: CONGRATS GIIIIIRRRLLL! I would wait to see what resources the internship provides you before purchasing. How long is your program?
Thank you so much. My internship is 10 months. I stumbled across your videos on Facebook and I'm so glad I did. I've learned a lot!
The test will shut off if you have enough to pass. But will also shut off if you don't have enough points to pass
Thanks for the insight.
Ha ha I take my exam on Wednesday and I'm thinking of moving it lol. I'm paranoid lol
Best of luck! I'm excited for you sis.
How did you do on the exam????

According to the CDR you have to wait 45 days after you fail.
Kim Rose Dietitian okay, as many times in a year as long as you have a 45 day interval?
From understanding yes
Kim Rose Dietitian thanks, Kim!
