I have the TE-62CC and i think it sounds fantastic. If you use a bit better amp than it really sounds a lot like a Fender Telecaster so big respect to Harley Benton. Of course it sounds a but different from a Fender but really good. It shines with clean tones. The setup and the fretwork could use some more attention but thats why this is only 150 euros or so. In terms of price and quality this is just rediculous, im really happy with it even though i got more expensive and better guitars as well.
I am not sure what the purpose of the video was, but in y opinion strumming all along is not the best way to show the features and sounds of a guitar, especially through mid effects where it doesn't matter what you plug in the effect will dominate.
I just got the TE-62 in Seafoam Green about 2 months ago, and I am happy with the gutiar and I'm about to do a few mods but it really needs nothing. Now I wish I would have waited because I really wanted that color but I really wanted the bound body but they did not have Sea Foam green back then, I would have paid the extra $12. When I got it was $133 and it went up $2 since. Oh well I guess I could buy another but not sea foam, maybe blue or the red. The binding really sharpens it up.
The tuners on these guitars seem fake. I call them fake because the hole where the end of the strings go in (when changing strings) is vey shallow. So what I did was drill out the holes to make them deeper. This makes them functional and more easy to facilitate the changing to new strings.
I've got the cheaper TE-20, and I love it! I didn't realise there was a difference in the necks, but I find the neck of the TE-20 very playable. Of the three Harley Bentons I've got (TE-20, ST-20, and SC-450 P90 GT) the 'Tele' has the fastest neck. I may have dropped lucky though. I put Tonerider Hot Classic pickups in, and black locking tuners, along with a black scratchplate with white edging, on the black body. I think it looks cool - all black and chrome fittings. It has the longer style bridge plate - I don't know why some have that. It's 10cm long - I think your one is about 1cm shorter. I'm going to pretend that the longer plate means more contact with the body, and therefore more depth and sustain! I have no idea if it's true though. Have to say - your TE-62 looks great with that binding. My TE-20 was £75.00 - that's probably around €80.00. Since I was going for the all-black look, paying extra for the binding would have been a waste for me. But I paid the extra for new pickups, so it all balances out. A project for the future would be getting their TE-52 vintage, in natural wood colour, and fitting a Bigsby on it - I think it would look cool - natural wood and silver fittings, nice and retro. It has Roswell Alnico 5 p/ups - not sure if I'd need to swap them out, or if they are good out of the box. I've heard it's very heavy though, and adding a Bigsby will increase that. It's something to think about. But I'd be sitting to play it, so perhaps not such a big deal.
Thanks :)! Both are great but they have different necks (C profile in TE-62 and Modern D in TE-62). So it's up to you but honestly you'll be happy with each of these
Have had it for a couple of days. Honestly it didn’t blew my mind at all, the bridge pickup was too thin for my tastes and did not resemble the classic telecasters twang. Returned.
I have the Paisley HB tele with Roswells the neck is thick feeling but with the flat fretboard radius I love playing it and the tone is amazing. I could not find a MIM Tele and I decided to try the HB since I didn't have one and it is a lot of guitar for the price
I have a harley benton te-70 rw and though it feels good to play the roswell pickups certainly aren't my favorite sound. I tried adjusting pickup height multiple time and they are definitely "cheap" pickups. I assume it's the same with the te-62 but even if you buy it and swap pickups your still paying a fraction of what you would pay to have a more prestigious brand with the same specs so its a win in my book regardless

Excellent review! How much does it weigh?
Why did you mainly use the neck PUP? Sounded crap with OD/Dist.

Looks wonderful and sounds great to. Maybe it will be my next guitar model 👍 thanks

Returned.
Great video my friend what is better the harley benton te 62 db or harley benton te 62cc????
they're very similar, I'd choose the 62db because the binding looks awesome in real life!!
Harley Benton says the body is basswood. why do you say poplar?

How heavy is this model? How much did it weigh? Great clip by the way!
very light because of the poplar body
About 9 kilos.
@@Neil-Aspinall thanks douche bag
Nice video, thank you! How does it weight that Telly? Thanks for your answer.
Thank you! It's pretty standard (over 3kgs for sure), so I wouldn't call it lightweight
Does it worth to buy that guitar?
Yes, definitely!
it is a great guitar ... and a great review ... 😁
Great video!
Could you please tell me what the nut is made of?
I no longer have that model with me, but I'm pretty sure that the nut was made of plastic!
What a great video
no need to a higher price what's the matter w you
Dzięki
good review except for that annoying chick singing at the beginning
