  • On the 3rd of May, 2024 I left Ireland with a flag. Written on this flag is the names of 250+ lost loved ones. Lost via still births, cancer and suicide. This journey took me over 11,000km, through 10 countries and took 29 days. Join me and follow this epic journey to bringing this flag to the top of Europe and back to the BikeFest in Kerry, Ireland for an epic selfie.
I made a promise to the families that I would reach Nordkapp, the most northerly point in Europe that you can drive too and read the names aloud, thus making sure they are always remembered.
On this flag is my own sons name, who on June the 5th, 2016 was still born.
I'm riding my Harley Davidson Pan America.

Bought a Noco and fixed lead as soon as I took delivery of my Pan Am. Kinda stops the start anxiety of the bike. Helps for my Rally/Enduro KTM that also eats battery in cold weather and won’t start. Helped many other KTM start with it at the Kielder rally - lithium batteries are pretty pathetic.

Its really a must have, I don't leave home without regardless of what bike I'm on. Defo something every biker should be carrying!

Pan America is awesome looking bike and has that Harley cool factor, I like it a lot but......for long distance touring bike reliability is no.1 factor for me.
Sorry to see your trip is being ruined by bike electrical gremlins. Would rather be on V Strom or Africa Twin..and not having to spend energy on stupid stuff like that.

Thanks for the watch and comment, much appreciated. I can not argue your point but can add some context. I tried over 10 ADV bikes, the HD was the only one my short ass could get on comfy due to the ARH. I was prepared enough to ensure I was never stranded and yeah, it defo put me on edge which did indeed put a damp outlook on the trip. Stay tuned to see the real HD spirit shine through. Saying that, I did see a AT in a dealer, brand new for Germany with a blown engine and the owner make plans to fly home along with a KTM and a bust head unit and their owner getting a taxi, all brands have issues and I suppose long distance trips with bikes packed with tech is a risk. Lastly a AT works out just as much in terms of cost when I had factored in what I needed. Plus, the extra ladder to get onto it would have probably made for a more interesting vlog hahahaha

@@theladwiththebeard Every brand has problems but seems to me with Japanese bikes problems are exceptions, with KTMs, Harleys and some others are common things. I thing Norden 901 / Expedition is the best bike money can buy but would not buy it. Not so sure about Ducatis and Triumphs.
Pan America is just notorious for electrical gremlins. I would trash the bike if left me stranded.

@@OrthodoxTrooper Those Norden's 901 where everywhere up there. Very popular brand. I sat on one at the ABR festival, what a beast of a bike. When it comes to the issues on the PA, they are all solved with updated Starters/Stators, plenty have had it done and have no issues. The MY24 is an over haul to the issue, so its not longer a concern if someone goes down that route.
