For anyone wondering if Persona games are set in the same timeline, the answer is yes. However, there are two timelines: Innocent Sin timeline (original) and Eternal Punishment timeline (altered). Persona 1 took place in both timelines. Starting from Innocent Sin timeline, Persona 1 begins first and lead on to Persona 2: Innocent Sin. At the end, the world was destroyed except Sumaru City (the main setting of Persona 2 duology) by the Nyarlathotep. Philemon offers to reset the timeline by altering the events where Tatsuya Suou (Innocent Sin protagonist) and his friends never meet each other as children and thus erasing their memories. Everyone reluctantly agreed (except Tatsuya) and thus brings the end of the original timeline. In Eternal Punishment timeline which is an altered timeline, Persona 1 still happened as the game's event was unaffected. Persona 2: Eternal Punishment replaced the events of Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Nyarlathotep was succesfully defeated in this timeline. Tatsuya from the original timeline who lived inside his alternate counterpart in this altered timeline return back to his original timeline. This is also why later games have lower stakes. The Persona 4 bad ending is basically the beginning of Personas 1 and 2 (Shadows invade the real world)
In persona 6 , I predict I will see: Ann is still a model and have posters on streets. An art culture show features Yusuke and Sayuri Makoto joining the police and interviewed An interview with Okumura Food CEO featuring Haru An interview of Sumire who becomes the champion of gymnastic.

Haha just like old times when they tried to make fun of her and put it on tv and yukiko went crazy about it , will never forgot that even if it’s 14 year’s ago
Man, I wonder if the Investigation team ever got back together. What if Yosuke become a higher up in Junes corporate with Teddie as his assistant. Hopefully in next spin off they meet again as adult to fight whatever god is messing up the world along with older versions of the P1 to P3 crew
@@player2-lightwater914 no I think it’s highly likely they will make a game featuring the p3 and 4 cast especially with the games rereleases plus there’s still a lot they can do with those characters

Since Chie is now a police officer do you think there's a chance that one of her superiors might be Katsuya Suou? Maaaaybe for Persona 5 Arena, Katsuya and Chie could be partners investigating some phantom thief shenanigans or something like that? Maaaybe? Maybe? Come on, Atlus. I wish Katsuya had a bigger easter egg ir cameo related to Sae or Akechi. Just imagine If when researching Cognitive Psience Sae said she heard about It from her police friend "Suou" or something, or If we heard him talking on the phone with Akechi.

I guess Junpei being a "baseball star" got old huh? And I'm a bit bummed that they didn't mention the kirijo group now that Mitsuru is now the one running it or Marie being a weather reporter.
Da man sadly wasn't a baseball star in p4au, but a part time little league coach. He gave up in that dream a long time ago according to him in p3 and p4au. Though p4au concept arts imply that he is going to be a a rockstar or a shadow ops spy
wait hold UP "since she hit 20" >assuming rise turned 20 not too long ago, >assuming rise was 16 in persona 4 does that mean this game takes place 4-5 years later after persona 4 edit: shit someone commented the same thing but hey whatever
チャイリ It's confirmed that P4 takes place in 2011 and it can be deduced that P5 takes place in 2016, since it's the only year within that timeframe whose day of the week/day of the month combinations match up to those in the P5 Calendar
Persona 1 and 2 are also part of the same universe (characters from Persona 1 and 2 show up as guests in Persona 3, and the Nanjou Group is in fact the former owners and now-associates of the Kirijou Group). While the P3-5 director had a strict policy not to mess with previous lore (hence why Igor was promoted from Philemon's assistant to full-time guide of the Persona users). he still acknowledged their existence and even added small links to the previous games, like turning the "destroyed world" of Persona 2 into an MMORPG your hero could "play" in P3, and giving Philemon a token appearance as the "blue butterfly" who would always watch over the owners of the Wild Card, even if not directly intervene.
@Warren Kei Show That is true. Instead of Tatsuya and Maya they used Nakajima and Yumiko for the Japanese version of P3. Nakajima and Yumiko are the protagonists of very first Megami Tensei which was release on NES in 1987.
Yeah in p3 for the psp you can go to inaba ( p4 main location) and in p4 you can go to p3's main location as a school trip. The games seem to be in chronological order. P3 is in 2008-2009 and p4 is 2011 if i remember correctly. And p5 is 4 years after p4 because rise is 20 in p5 and rise was 16 in p4
It’s nice that P5 purposely avoided leaning on the older titles to be its own thing, but “hid” enough dialogue about older Personas so longtime fans get a feel on their old buds’ lives.
5:14 I don't know Morgana.... I think you shouldn't be thinking about that, instead think about the person WHO KILLED PEOPLE AND HANG THEM ON TELEPHONE POLES ONLY JUST BECAUSE THE WORLD SUCKS!!
4:15 Katsuya by the time of P5 should be 42 considering he was 25 in P2 which was in 1999 (P5 in 2016). The fact that they still consider him handsome shows that he's still looking good for his age.
It would be shocking if the next Persona Games has a physical cameo. Like meeting Rise and an adult Ann talking to the new recruit while giving a voice of encouragement than just has names references.
This video basically proves that P2, P3, P4 and P5 are all connected in the same universe. If so, I wonder if any of the Phantom Thieves will recognise Rise in Persona Q2
sucks that almost all of these are on tv on days you normally wouldnt check the tv on, meanwhile personas 3p and 4 had you go on literal trips to other persona games’ locations..
No, that's not really a P2 easter egg. It's just that Yukari plays a character whose mask just so happens to also be worn by Lisa's. It's just a coincidence.
4:59 were they questioning Adachi? If so I’m shocked he confessed to actually hanging the bodies on the telephone poles and TV antenna because in Person 4 it was never explained how the 3 victims bodies were hanging upside down I always thought the TV just spit them out... Interesting
I still think that's what happened. He did murder those people, but the TV world somehow placed them back outside. If Adachi told to the relatively normal officers exactly how everything went down ("so I threw them inside the TV, they got murdered in there and the TV threw them back out, that's how they ended up there", or something), who would believe him? Yeah, he could prove he's not lying by sticking his hand on the TV right in front of them or whatever, but imagine what would happen next: They would want to investigate more about this, and who knows how that would turn out? I guess this is another can of worms he'd rather not open, so he just lied and said he placed them there himself ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@NessBrawl64 make sense. It might give the Persona users more headache, considering curiosity kills a cat. Also the state of society is the one of the reasons Persona users have to fight against the deepest, darkest aspects of human desires in material form. The exception is the Tatsumi Port Island Police, especially Kurosawa, whom met Aigis and Labrys personally, even mentors Akihiko. This even applies in post trail, as seen in the Answer, Arena and Scramble. Scramble kind of prove that Shadow events can be facilitated artificially seen with EMMA and its creator Kuon, which is obviously a bad thing.
Another persona 4 reference is Tanakas shady commodities. He had his own tv show on Sunday and functioned as the shopping network host. Allegedly between games he fell from grace and now hosts the black market.
So we now know that P5 takes place in 2016. Cuz in game it says 20XX but I thought it took place in 2019 cuz P3 and P4 took place 3 years after their respective releases. When they mention Rise, they say something about "since she hit 20," and it's phrased in a way that makes me think they mean she recently hit 20, and she was 15 in P4, which took place in 2011.

An interview with Okumura Food CEO featuring Haru
An interview of Sumire who becomes the champion of gymnastic.
And Futaba has your classmate lol
Royal is not canon so probably no Sumire
@@opvcky Royal( and every previous expansion) have been canon. I'm curious as to why you believe that the extended story is not part of the timeline as it doesn't contradict anything.
It's nice to hear about Katsuya.
Glad to see Yukari's moved on since Minato's...
Untimely demise
Yeah
After all these years, the TV station guys finally gets to film Amagi Inn lol
Haha just like old times when they tried to make fun of her and put it on tv and yukiko went crazy about it , will never forgot that even if it’s 14 year’s ago
After got Yukiko's sick burn xD
probably a different tv station, that or the same tv station w/different staff
Man, I wonder if the Investigation team ever got back together. Rise is busy being an idol and who knows if she'd even be able to make time for Yu, Yukiko is busy with the inn, Chie is on her way to being an officer, and Naoto is doing detective stuff.
Would be sad if they never got a chance to years later.
What if Yosuke become a higher up in Junes corporate with Teddie as his assistant.
Hopefully in next spin off they meet again as adult to fight whatever god is messing up the world along with older versions of the P1 to P3 crew
@@ci7210 I doubt Atlus would make another game featuring the P3-P4 cast unless it's a non-canon spin off or another game set in a dream like Q.
I wonder what kanji is doing after all those years
@@player2-lightwater914 no I think it’s highly likely they will make a game featuring the p3 and 4 cast especially with the games rereleases plus there’s still a lot they can do with those characters
@@clarkc8065 Not exactly. Their respective story arcs and era are done. P3's story arc have ended and given a sendoff in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax while P4's story arc have ended and given a sendoff in Persona 4 Dancing All Night. Long story short, their time is done. The rereleases does not have anything to do with it.
Please...Let me play as Persona 2 characters again :(
@Izaak Cabacungan But what if Naoto's superior is actually Katsuya? Then it'd all click.
I think Katsuya, Tatsuya, Akihiko and Chie all work at the same police force because of how that statement was worded. Which to me is so cool because it means they’ve all likely met (Chie and Akihiko have met Katsuya and Tatsuya I mean).
omegasonic2000 That’d be sick
“Rise’s sex appeal has gone up since she turned 20”
Damnit Atlus, you put her in the wrong Persona game!
I think they did the wrong flash game for persona 4
I can only imagine how the persona 5 crew would react to meeting the investigation team and Team SEES, after the events of Arena Ultimax.
I wish Katsuya had a bigger easter egg ir cameo related to Sae or Akechi. Just imagine If when researching Cognitive Psience Sae said she heard about It from her police friend "Suou" or something, or If we heard him talking on the phone with Akechi.
Akechi will never be as good as best girl Naoto
yessir
Considering that he's a psycopathic mass murdering monster. I agree with you.
Persona 5 got me into the series but my favourite is Persona 4
Yoo best girl training to become a police officer? Im proud
No haha in the video it actually showed that best girl took over Amagi inn lmao
@@SirBazoongi Haha silly you, the video just reminded us that the best girl was the first Detective Prince haha
@@joaoassumpcao3347 no haha, it showed best girl actually fought a bear
Don t be silly best girl is actually a suspect under investigations not a cop 🤣
you're all wrong
best girl is kanji
I love the fact that they remember persona 2
P1/P2 casts were mentioned as well in P3
4:24 ngl I kinda got a smile on my face from reading that the first time. Seeing Chie becoming a police officer and protecting people just like she said in her social guide kinda made me happy.
near leblanc, you can see yu’s moped and yosuke’s bike together on the street corner… it might not seem deliberate but there’s a blue trash can tipped over next to the bike lol
wow, I didn't know that!
I saw that and never noticed it as a reference to P4
TV: And now we are in front of this massive, some say something ominous lies beyond the doors, is something up there?
Makoto: T-Poses on everybody and shall never be dominated by everything for he asserted his long ago
The first Chie reference also has a Katsuya reference.
>Goes in Bathroom, comes out months later
Sojiro makes a hell of a curry
Why they gotta do my girl Rise like that
wait hold UP
"since she hit 20"
>assuming rise turned 20 not too long ago,
>assuming rise was 16 in persona 4
does that mean this game takes place 4-5 years later after persona 4
edit: shit someone commented the same thing but hey whatever
チャイリ It's confirmed that P4 takes place in 2011 and it can be deduced that P5 takes place in 2016, since it's the only year within that timeframe whose day of the week/day of the month combinations match up to those in the P5 Calendar
I've played persona 5 and I gotta say its super cool you included that spoiler warning even up to the date
This is so crazy because it implies that in the same universe the world has almost ended multiple times lol
Persona 2 Innocent Sin the only time where the world ended
So Persona 3,4,5 are connected in the same universe!
Yeah man, everything is connected.
@LeonGun8 actually that MMORPG was only in the US version. In the Japanese version it was the first SMT game they used.
The fact that they still consider him handsome shows that he's still looking good for his age.
and he still wear his trademark red sunglasses.
4:59 that interview is most likely Adachi
Yeahhh
Thank you captain obvious
Nice transitions mate
I really want some Persona 4 character to be there like Naoto meeting Akechi would be good
(I think in persona q 2 Akechi and Naoto will be there
Well, Persona 5 only has one version as of now, I'm sure they'll add more content in the others (Kind of like how they added Yukiko in P3P)
Look at who just predicted the future
5:00 hey that's our boy!
I love how you’re using the bathroom to fast forward time
Perfect summary of the P4 villain. Thank you, P5.
"The young proprietress is quite the beauty! Its worth going just to see her hahah." We know, We know.
O MY GOD KATSUYA SOUO
:")
5:02 I never payed attention to the TV till I accidentally clicked it and saw this line and was like "Adachi is that you"
I like how they give us some insight on how the other cast of characters are doing
4:59 HEY they just described the entire plot of P4
They’re aging?! that is serious feels man
I like to believe rise and p4 mc are still together. Rise my #1 in p4.
We can hope.
Persona Q2 with
Part 1 2 3 and 4
i'm amazed at how morgana did not sugest to change adachi's hearth
Erix Gastao He's already imprisoned and everyone knows his crimes.
oh yeah,there is that
idea for DLC dungeon in persona 5 platinum (or red, which ever they are calling it)
@@EternallyBlu Would've been cool though
I like how adachi said : cuz the world sucks I guess..
4:55 i love how they trying to mention adachi
I can’t believe Adachi has a line in P5.
this makes me so happy to see, thanks for uploading! nice to see everyone getting fine trough life *-*
Joker's just going in and out of the bathroom and the tv is showing something new everytime
Man, Yukiko's stalker even made an appearance at 9. 😉
It would be shocking if the next Persona Games has a physical cameo. Like meeting Rise and an adult Ann talking to the new recruit while giving a voice of encouragement than just has names references.
That would be dope if we could actually physically meet other characters from previous games
Woah... I never knew you could go in that bathroom.
This video basically proves that P2, P3, P4 and P5 are all connected in the same universe. If so, I wonder if any of the Phantom Thieves will recognise Rise in Persona Q2
or if Futaba recognizes Yukari since the phoenix ranger thing.
If technically every game is connected, even SMT If... . Because P1 is connected to P2, and If... connected to both
Don't forget Persona 1. Also you predicted the future; Ryuji recognized Rise when they met the Persona 4 crew.
So let me get this straight persona 2 did a stone ocean before Jojo man atlus and araki love to look at each others answers lol.
I got so happy to see Namatame got a better life after what happened to him in P4, he really was a nice guy
sucks that almost all of these are on tv on days you normally wouldnt check the tv on, meanwhile personas 3p and 4 had you go on literal trips to other persona games’ locations..
At 5:18 I feel like we all know that the detective who's Angry is dojima
4# easter egg also a easter egg to persona 2 (do you remember Lisa's pink mask?) DOBLE-EASTER-EGG.
No, that's not really a P2 easter egg. It's just that Yukari plays a character whose mask just so happens to also be worn by Lisa's. It's just a coincidence.
Playing p4 knowing the killers is... Weird, to say the least.
4:58
ADACHI???!! GETTING INTERVEIWED?????!!!
4:59 were they questioning Adachi? If so I’m shocked he confessed to actually hanging the bodies on the telephone poles and TV antenna because in Person 4 it was never explained how the 3 victims bodies were hanging upside down I always thought the TV just spit them out... Interesting
It's obviously Adachi, there's no way in hell Mitsuo is a detective
@Karma The 3rd victim was not killed by Adachi. That victim was killed by a copycat killer.
Another persona 4 reference is Tanakas shady commodities.
He had his own tv show on Sunday and functioned as the shopping network host.
Allegedly between games he fell from grace and now hosts the black market.
4:15 finally a reference to Persona 2 EP
Wow I really like the way you went to the bathroom to go travel the time.
Going to the bathroom after seeing someone compare Akechi to Naoto is something I would do as well.
I somehow played through the whole game without knowing there was a toilet in the cafe
You don't get it. He has to use the bathroom or he gets fatigued and his party will complain about it during battles.
the toilet is some sort of time travel machine now
Joker using that restroom time machine throughout the video
This is really cool and i love how it connects to older games !
3:58 A persona 2 reference in MY PERSONA 5 GAME? Who would've thunk
Yukiko Amagi is wearing a kimono
Played P5 for 80 hours and never realized there was a bathroom in LeBlanc until now
