When I was a kid getting your cat spayed wasn't a thing here in my little town, I lost many cats because they went to mate and never came back, it was very common to heard females calling to mate or males fighting in the night, and most cats here never got too older because of that, some decades ago the spay-your-cat trend started and now most cats are spayed, they live to old age and it is very rare to heard females screaming or males fighting, when I was kid I had to take care of many injured cats with deep cuts and now the fights are very rare, and if they fight because cats are territorial the injures are very minor just few scratches, the spay campaigns were a very good thing for cats here in my little town
It's incredible how much things have changed over the years. Spaying and neutering have made such a big difference in the lives of our feline friends. It's heartbreaking to think about the struggles cats went through before, but it's wonderful to hear that they now live longer, healthier lives. Your town's spay campaigns have really made a positive impact, and it's great to know that the cats are safer and happier now. 🐾❤️
I have 4 girls who are now all going into heat at the same time. I have been ill and unable to get them to a vet yet! At first they were all going into heat at different times and this was a nightmare when you're not well either, but like human women they now all go into heat at the same time so now help one another by rubbing themselves against one another and caring for each other, when I'm not around and when I'm there they take it in turn to come to me for cuddles and bottom of tail massages this gentle massage seems to help settle them down all the other girls get very interested in the bottom of that cat(sniffed and licking there) then up comes the next one for her turn. It has helped me bond with all my girls, but hopefully within next month I will be able to get them to a vet for their ops. and hopefully this will help them to enter their new way of life for their 1st birthdays🐱❤️
Wow, managing four girls going into heat all at once must be quite the challenge! It's amazing how they support each other and how you've bonded through this. 🐱❤️ Those tail massages sound like a great comfort for them. Hopefully, you'll be able to get them to the vet soon for their ops so they can enjoy their first birthdays in a new way of life. Thanks for sharing your story, and hang in there-you're doing an incredible job! 🌟
Thank you, it is hard work, but you are right about the lower back base of tail massages it maybe the equivalent of human masturbation for cats as after about 5-10 minutes of this circular deep massage they calm down the other kittens come and smell their bottom, so some reaction must happen to them that the others can respond to, as we know they have scenting glands there, though I can't smell anything my other girls can and it seems to calm them down too and bond my girls together. Maybe this may help others that are on a waiting list for their girl kittens🤞🤞🤞😺😺😺
I cannot stand irresponsible people who don't spay and neuter their cats/dogs. Dont get animals if you dont have the means to care for them. I lived 15 miles from where I do for 10 years. NO problems.. never once saw a feral cat or kitten outside. Moved to farmland- there are hundreds of feral cats and kittens here. People trapping them, getting them fixed if they have the means but many dont. Same issue with dogs, even being dumped but not nearly as high of a volume obviously. Its so sad. Moved here 1 year ago with 1 cat, 1 kitten (that I literally spayed the same day we moved here.. every place wanted between $400-$600 that I called.. found a "low cost" for $300!!!) and 1 year later I have 7 cats. Just rescued a kitten with swimmers syndrome. Ill be making an appt to get it fixed long before it even goes into heat. Im not waiting. The litter of kittens we found under our shed 2 months after moving here all went into heat at 4 months. They were tiny babies when I had to get them fixed. . The overpopulation of cats and dogs is disturbing. I wish there were strict guidelines people had to follow in order to be able to breed, something needs to change.
Overpopulation of cats and dogs is such a serious issue, and it's great to hear that you're taking action to make a difference. 🐾❤️ It's tough and expensive, but every effort counts. Rescuing and caring for so many animals is truly commendable. Let's hope for stricter guidelines and more affordable options to help control this problem. Thanks for sharing your story and for being such a dedicated animal advocate. 🌟
@Feline_Fanatics ♡♡ I agree. Its so sad. #adoptdontshop is my motto. I hope there is change in the future. I dont understand how it hasn't happened yet. We do all we can to help. When I found the litter of 4 kittens thankfully I found a non profit that makes a huge impact by transportation to another state. It was $300 for all 4 to get fixed and shots. Same amount I paid for my first rescue at a "low cost" .
@HonesTeaBeauTea In our house a "forever home" means just that.We had one lucky boy that made it to 23. Stupid people get a cat or dog, then a few years in comes a dental bill for $1,000 and little "Sparky" is gone. My idiot sister in law has had 5 dogs in 2 years. I'd slap her if she wasn't 3,000 miles away. Covid was the worst, TV talk shows promising a forever home. Oops, I thought you said 2 years, not forever. Just pathetic.
I got a little girl cat who owned me spayed. About two weeks later, I called her Doctor. Told him he was going to have to do something with Little Bit. He asked me what was up.....I told him she was in heat!!🤣🤣 He couldn't believe that!! She was sitting in window sill caterwauling her head off. These three males were all sitting right next to each other on front lawn, staring up at her. They're all three good guys. All fixed and friendly. Wish I could've gotten a pic of them. Turns out that Doc Steve missed a tiny piece of ovary tissue. About the size of a pinhead. Talk about microsurgery!!!!! That's all it took to put her back into heat.🤣
Oh my, that must have been quite a surprise! Poor Little Bit, and those three boys must have been quite confused. I hope Doc Steve was able to sort everything out and that Little Bit is feeling much better now. Thank you for sharing your story! 🐾❤️
@@Feline_Fanatics Very welcome. The Doctor got her taken care of just fine. She owned me for almost 16 years. I lost her her seven years ago come this July 5th.😪 I still miss and grieve her to this day.

Please make a video on male cats too...details about neutering them and what if we don't neuter them
Thanks for the great video idea! We’ll definitely consider making one about male cats and the ins and outs of neutering. Appreciate the suggestion! 🐾😺

My kitten was spayed Tuesday ! Two days ago she is 5 months old.
Congrats on getting your kitten spayed! It’s great that you’re taking care of her health so early. 🐾❤️
@@Feline_Fanatics Thank you 😊
