My wife had gone for interview at United States Embassy in Liberia, and she was asked to bring additional documents, we were able to put all of the required documents requested together, but no appointments. Everytime we applied for appointments they'll tell,we will hear from them within one to two business days, and it continue on and on. I'm missing my wife sir. This case started 2018, up to this time my is still awaiting her at the Embassy. How can you help?

hello,
We were under AP for 55 days, after submitting DS-5535,
the embassy called 55 days later so my wife, me and my daughter submit passports for visa to be issued, but my 19 year son is still under AP,
both my wife and son were requested to fill ds-5535, yet after 55 days my wife was issued the visa.
Initially during the interview, the officer reassured my son not to worry since he was accepted in the university in the US, and she told him to defer the entrance to spring, since the interview occured in september.
please can you tell me if it is normal to separate a son from his family this way?
visa will expire in february , so travelling is a must and my son will be left behind alone.
today my son has been 5 months and 3 days under AP.
P.S we are on an F4 immigration visa

Mazen--thanks for sharing your story. I think that the way the consulate treated you is absolutely horrible. As a father and a husband, I can't imagine my wife and boy being separated.
No, it is absolutely not normal.
You only have 2 choice: keep waiting or file a mandamus lawsuit to fight back. I'm a big fan of lawsuit. No one should put up with Administrative Processing. It's not right. It's not fair. And it's not legal. The consulate must finish processing of your visa application within a reasonable period of time. They can't just sit on your visa and make you wait forever.

@@ImmigrationStation4U quick question my dad had his appointment at the embassy at cuidad juerez for his residence the officer said everything was fine but was missing a document so he got a blue sheet and it said ds5535 everything was mailed that same day and next day his passport. My question is that form administration process.

my fiancé just had his interview 9/8/23 at the embassy in Moroco🇲🇦. He was given a 221g refusal notice and told that our case was being sent back to USCIS. Hello everyone I got 221g after my interview on 14 October in Ankara Turkey in the next day I send them my medical report and also my passport then they return my passport after 3 weeks and in the same day I call embassy to asking for reason why the return my passport then they say send your passport back with courier athurizetion certificate then I send on November 2 it take how long time? it’s positive or negative ? Hello sir I got my visa refused because of spelling mistake of my name on my passport and the embassy send back to me my passport for correction after the correction i send back my passport to American embassy and my visa status change refused to administrative processing what does mean ? On 3rd August, 2021, i had my interview nd i qualified. The interview officer gave me the congratulations paper nd said you'll get ur visa in 2 weeks, but Sir i didn't get any update, nd my status online shows, it's in administrative processing where as my brother in law got his status issued within 3 days nd now he has his passport in hand with visa. I went through the interview on july 25th, 2022. Initially, My Visa has been approved by the officer during an interview. But, Unfortunately when I came out from the embassy. They send me an email that my case is under administrative process. I am Canadian citizen and my Wife is legal permanent resident of United States of America. I am still waiting for my passport.
