Picking up my 2024 at the dealership tomorrow! Chose to buy because I always keep my car for a long time, but also because I was able to take advantage of 0% APR financing over five years, which means the money keeps working for me at home. Also, it’s 0 % with nothing down, which is crazy. Thanks for the thoughtful discussion.
Just took the plunge on the Ioniq 5 limited. For the first time in my 59 year life I leased it. Best decision I’ve ever made in my life concerning cars. Excited to see what happens with this tech in two years when it’s time to turn it in. Your videos have been a lifesaver for me. Thank you! BTW… I am also in Colorado. Above Colorado Springs in Woodland Park.
We bought a '24 I5 limited in February. Great car. Love it & keeping it for years. 18,000 miles so far zero issues. I would like the wireless car play & the new phone charger pad on the 2025.
I bought my 2024 Ioniq 5 nine months ago, and have ZERO buyer's remorse. The "improvements" in the 2025 don't strike me as real improvements, and some of them are worse than what I now have. I already have a J3400 adapter for when Hyundai receives authorization to use Superchargers. Funny thing, I doubt I'll use them much anyway, only in emergencies. Rear window wiper? My digital rear view mirror eliminates that need completely. 6.6 kWh more in the battery won't make much of a difference on roadtrips: I rarely drive more than 150 miles or 3 hours before I need to empty my "tank" -and the car recharges so quickly that I barely have time to visit the restrooms. I don't use CarPlay, so it's no big deal for me. I prefer my center console with side-to-side cupholders, as front-to-back cupholders is one of my pet peeves. I am curious to see what the software improvements are, but… wouldn't be surprised if it will be downloadable as an OTA update for my car.
bought mine 1 month ago, i wanted to wait... but after everything considered it was better to buy now than wait a lose a lot of money on the table. The little upgrade that's coming in 2025 did not worth a loss of 5-10k difference. So it depends for every body. A car it's a car, it's never an investment and will always worth nothing at the end, so wait is never a good reason
I bought a 24 I5 SE. Great city car. I love it. Got a great deal.

Hyundai has promised to upgrade to wireless in older models with a software update.

I think we’ll be hanging onto our 2022 Ioniq 5 for years to come.

Did you mean "magic dock" when you said adapter? Hyundai doesn't have approval to use a supercharger, even with an adapter.
In January you will have access to Tesla 250kw using a Tesla to CCS adapter. Lectron has a good one for 200 dollars.
By the time 2025's start rolling out of Georgia, in volume, the Federal Tax credits will be terminated.
