- Went out to Don's with the wife's new ride to add a gigantic sub. See how to wire in a sub with a factory stereo without the need to change your deck. This works on any new car where you have a decent system but just want to add that sub for some bump in the trunk as it were.

Awful video. Doesn't even show you where to run your amp wire to the battery, just shows a general area.
So you pulled out the auxiliary plug? Spliced it together with ground and remote?? Re attached the plug to said wires. And put it back into place??? 2nd. I used a bolt that's connected just behind the back seat on the driver's side. I removed a cover, found like 4 bolt I believe... ran my ground to that. My remote wire, I ran to my fuse box in the front. My amp turns on. But won't provide sound till I begin to remove auxiliary cords that are connected to amp.. only sound i get is a hum to the song. Which isn't much.
There better be a part 2 where it's boomin. Nice clean install.
Thanks buddy, I can do a part 2 for sure!
How is the impedence converter wired? You never showed or explained that
What gauge is that power wire?
hey bro do you remember what color the speaker wire that you tapped into was? I also have a 08 crv and i'm doing the exact same thing as you did, thanks in advance
No I dont but The speaker wires are twisted together going in to both doors. They should be the only wires in each door loom that are twisted together.
Bryce you ever figure that out
@@davidpolomski3672 I believe it was light brown in the wiring harness. I spliced into it with the wire for my amp
@@Brycereigle2000 I found an orange and green twisted wire. Im gonna try. Wish me luck. 😆
I'm going through my back door speakers though. Idk what route you went.
Hi J where is the grommet for firewall located Thanks
So you don't have to drill a hole to hook it to the battery?
No, but I did cut away part of the rubber grommet that goes through the firewall in to the car to make getting the wire in easier.
Hi bro did you manage to find the grommet for the firewall Thanks S
@@josephinenaicker2170 It's kinda hard to find, unfortunately, the video does not show one of the most important parts of installing a sub. if you are looking down into the engine bay, right about where the pedals would be, there is a grommet that you have to take out and drill through it to feed the wire through.
@@josephinenaicker2170it’s right behind the brake pedal you need to pull down the carpet and the insulation then you’ll find a rubber black cap you can pop off
Where's your negative
