Gunner is such a ridiculous class, you can be rocking this or god forbid even minelayer and still take hellfire. And you have shields+zips as a utility lmao. If this guy got phero nades it'd be over, love him
@@SaidAlot if you're considering a balanced team, none of the classes have any problems since they cover for eachother. Gunner is powerful, but lacks utility. Setting up pipelines or getting back to the drop-pod in a super vertical cave can be incredibly difficult as a gunner compared to driller, engi or scout (although scout has pipeline issues as well.) So in a group setting I agree with you, but the community you're referring to is most likely referring to moments when it's all you have to work with...which is absolutely a downside.
Yeah, I'm looking at it as a team rather than solo play. IMO, zipline is built for team play in mind. Even on solo I don't have much problem with zipline being what it is; It's the only traversal tool that "when it works, it works amazing; when it doesn't it's bad" while the others just works. I guess it is one way of nerfing the gunner for having the best of everything. I wouldn't be against having the zipline being buffed tbh. It would just make the gunner better than ever.
Oh, I finished this EDD today. Had 4-5 failed attempts yesterday, tried my gunner build with Rotary Overdrive + burning rounds + blowthrough Lead Storm and Magic Bullets + AoE + neurotoxin Bulldog. The main disaster was BET-C, she always killed us in that crazy terrain. Still watching the video, would be interesting to see how your team managed with that crazy machine (if it spawned with this modded difficulty).
Oh, no BET-C. When I played it didn't spawn only in 1 run. That time my team died swarmed at the uplink. :,D You played so well tho! Were there anymore appempts before this record?
@@mad_prophet we did restart once because of messy situation after hot drop on first stage, but that's really it. Nothing else in this dive was threatening, i wish i could see Bet-C in action in 2nd stage lol.
Thanks! This run would have definitely went smoother without my game stuttering the whole time lol. This was our second attempt. On our first, we lasted for like 1 minute before we restarted. We fumbled on our entrance to the cave. And yes, I would have enjoyed facing bet-c this run. With our composition full of CC and cryo driller, bet-c wouldn't have a chance.
I have had this problem recently with DRG also, the only thing that seems to solve it is restarting my PC. I don't know if this is happening because of a recent minor patch or what but it is annoying.
Yeah seems to be a memory leak thing or something, it's more likely to happen when I've been enabling/disabling mods or tweaking graphic settings in the same session. Restarts fix it tho
Yeah, noticed it only in this patch. I've restarted my game before our run, I should have just restarted my PC instead lmao. Hopefully a patch for this is underway.
I'm having an issue where my frames are great until i've played for a while, then at some point i start to get 40% frame drops specifically whenever I move the camera. standing still i'll average around 120fps on uncapped ultra settings. I've asked about it in their discord support channel but I kept getting shut down cause "Linux isn't supported" :/ Do you guys happen to have AMD cards? I'm running a 6600 XT
I'll get hate for this, but I'm not impressed by the performance of this OC. Don't get me wrong, it's probably the best for this weapon, but I feel the DoT takes so long to have a significant effect, to the point that I might as well play Driller. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, the idea is to just shoot enough to spread the DoT and that's it, but it just takes so long to really have an effect imo. So, should I just spread it everywhere and run around until they die? or spam it like usual? I feel that would defeat the point of the DoT. Haz 5 vanilla/solo btw.
The build isn't really meant for quick kills but more on crowd control. Poison + Fear is one of the best combos for CC; fear makes any bug run for a set distance (iirc 10 meters) and fear last till they run said distance. Paired with poison that deals DoT and slows making them run slower while also dying slowly. It's a different playstyle for gunners that is also overpowered. Aggressive bugs and modded difficulty does make it less effective but still really strong.

Yeah I noticed the CC and it's quite nice, I know understand better how it works, but since almost everyone agrees about this OC being overpowered and ''ruining games'', I was expecting something more overtuned and with insane direct damage as well. NTP saved me to this elite deep dive, and 3 chamber for the coil gun
NTP can make any mission doable. One of the most overpowered OC in-game.

Agreed, pretty sure the most powerful class in-game. The only downside I hear from the community is its zipline (which is not really an issue).

Nah it doesn't. It's either me having trouble playing (cause of the constant stutter) or just being bad with my aim lol

It's called "Customizable HUD + Crosshair"
